I really enjoyed your game even though it was a bit hard :P The most i have missed was a tutorial intro level or something. I tried to move with keyboard until i realized (read on you game page) i can place coins with the mouse. Great Work!

Developer(+1)

we ran out of time to put an in game tutorial sadly. but we did make sure to put it on the page!

It was indeed a tough game to play! Nice take on the theme! I really like the sound effects and the mechanics. I enjoyed spamming my mouse button to place coins to guide the thief. Well polished game! Well done!

Submitted(+2)

Had a really fun time playing this! The dynamics of how to make the thief move was so funny and well-thought. The trap tiles was a tough one, because the thief would randomly wander and hit one, it kept the game interesting and fun!

Good game!

It would really help if you put a tutorial to to help the player understand the mechanics of the game (how to move the player and how the guards work).

Developer(+1)

Yeah, time constraints and all that. You know how it goes.

I felt like the description helped:

The GOAL:

Guide the boy to all the treasures, while dodging guards, and traps, and get him back out safely with the family Jewels!

Good luck! Simply clicking on the ground will place a coin to guide the thief. He does get a little bored though.... MAKE SURE you keep him DISTRACTED by your money....

(Guards are also able to be distracted by gold)

Warning:

This game is hard. But it does have checkpoints. And yes, there are multiple rooms.

Here's a  small hint (SPOILER ALERT): The guards like money too!

This was hard omg or am i just too bad :(? Cool concept!

Check out my game when you can, I'd like to know your opinion.

That's actually a good game the guards catch me way too fast
You could have done it like Legends of zelda games

Great Game one of my favorites by far, I came across bug the first time around but still really fun. Great puzzler and the corners meant for the way back mess with me every time.

Pros

Great Style/Animation

Music is a bop

Great use of theme and limitation

Fun and very expandable mechanics

Cons

I feel as the first part the game is much harder then the later parts

A Bug I experienced is if you collect an artifact then die then collect it again you can skip getting the other artifacts.

-Kolocop, Please rate game as well, I'm grateful for any feedback

Developer

Thanks for playing! The team did an awesome job and i'm happy you like the music!

It's a fun concept but I raged lol. I love the graphics and music.

Challenging games can be a bit of a coin toss when it comes to rage. We decided to risk it for this one! After all, you are trying to guide your super novice rogue decedent through one of your family's most lucrative heists yet!

I like influencing mechanic. Apparently there's no jewels on the inside of a jail cell. I nearly got away with some jewels but got busted. It's a fun game.

This is super fun! The music slaps and the game plays very well.

Developer

Glad you like it! The music was fun to make!

If the game is too hard, here's a hint: The guards like money too!

Damn, this is really hard! I’ll have to come back later to try again on the first level. But the art and music are fantastic and the gameplay has this addictive nature to it that reminds me of The World’s Hardest Game. I wish this was a little bit more beginner-friendly, but that’s just my opinion. The difficulty is probably an intended feature, right?
Anyways, excellent work!

Developer(+1)

Honestly, the first level difficulty was kinda accidental. But it is intended to be challenging. After all, you are trying to guide your super novice rogue decedent through one of your family's most lucrative heists yet!

Developer

The art is great, the team did an awesome job on those zelda style pixels!

Your game has quite an addictive feel to it which I like. Fun music and sound and the characters and menu have a nice style. It is really tough to get to the end of the first level.

I would appreciate if you could check out my game and provide some feedback too.

Man that was hard, specially the first level. I loved the music, it was very fitting to the game's theme. And I appreciated the 8-directions sprites for the main character!

Art and sounds are amazing though the game is REALLY hard. If I was better at the game I'm sure it would be a ton of one, nicely done!

I would appreciate if you could check my submission and leave some feedback :) Thanks !

A little hard game, couldn´t beat the first level. Art and concept of the game are good!

Good Idea. I liked the exprimntal dirction. The music and graphics were OK. not something spiceal but it did the job so hey, I can't really complain.  soild 4.5/5 for a game jam.

Please consider checking our game!

Very clever game idea. While it was too difficult for me to make it very far (take that into account as i give feedback), the game was a fun take on the jam limitation. The idea of a novice easily distracted player character is very clever and i can see it opening up a lot of fun game play possibilities! If you get the chance I would appreciate it if you could checkout my jam submission and give your feedback. Thanks!

Played this before, and am playing it again! Such a gem!

The only code that wasn't made fresh for this Jam, was our menu system, and the 2D Navigation asset that we got previously from the Unity asset store. It has been correctly cited in the credits.
