Pretty decent for a first game. Had more stuff to it than I was expecting but honestly it's probably better for you at this stage of learning game development to make scaled down projects and focus on getting what you have right. That doesn't mean you shouldn't dream big of course, just make sure you know you got the basic feel of the game how you want it before you pursue them. Good luck in the future!

Visually gorgeous and musically beautiful, it has such a strong sense of atmosphere, all the enemies are expressive, the character looks and feels great as well. Quite enjoyed the combat arenas, weirdly I haven't seen many of those in jams but I guess this makes sense because this type of thing is only possible when your game is large enough to allow it, but here it works great since there's a lot of stuff to do. And fast travel! It was really impressive. My only minor nitpicks are that it feels a tad awkward to not shot/dash in the direction you're pressing on the keyboard but other than that it was fantastic.
Very enjoyable. Map design was really good in general having a lot of interweaving paths and even though there was only one movement ability I still felt like I was opening up the world due to the number of locks and keys. Movement also felt pretty good, specifically I appreciate that the ledge grab is very generous which led to some interesting sequences. I do think that jumping could have used more hang time at its peak, as it stands it doesn't exactly feel "off" but it doesn't exactly feel right either. The boss near the end fairly fun and had a flow to it which I don't think is present in a lot of game jam bosses. There are some visibility issues with the bullets (they probably should either be slightly bigger or make a sound, they were really hard to track) and the slam attack was the easiest by far to punish which probably wasn't intentional. There was also an issue with the laser attack spawning on top of me which unless I missed a telegraph meant unavoidable damage. Still though I don't want you to get the impression I didn't like it. The music was also really cool and well utilized, it felt very cohesive but clearly going for different moods.
Interesting game. I don't know if the audio was meant to be like this but if it was then it adds a unique sense of dread as you go through the world, which is quite fitting to this abstracted and incomprehensible world.
I do think the character sprites are not a good fit when taken in conjunction with the rest of how the game is presented - I don't know what the process for these were obviously and perhaps it was done for visual clarity but they just don't mash well enough. I think the enemies are an example of how to do this well - I clearly know one when I look at one, but they also look good within the game's world. It was also quite good structurally speaking, backtracking was intuitive enough to stop me from being completely lost but it was not too obvious to the point of feeling stale. Blocks being able to push you into directions was also a good touch.
Thank you! The issue with the blue area came up on playtesting as well but unfortunately it was way too late to make significant changes. Saving between sessions also had to be unfortunately scrapped as we were too close to the deadline. Still, thank you for making it that far, we were sure most people would quit before then.
Update: We are adding another save point to the blue area lol, an updated version will be out by the time the jam ends.
Really liked it! The music and narrative framing of the game are excellent, they both lend to a great sense of atmosphere as you go through this minimalist world. The game is too harsh tho, I think. Progressing so much just to loss all of it is frustrating, especially since the game world is a bit hard to navigate. Though the world by itself is very fun to explore, it's very complex and the ways the dark/light worlds interweave to make for two different worlds that overlap is great.
It's a good game - the enemies are fun to fight against and there's always something for you to do - and it has a lot of potential, and with more enemy variety and more intuitve controls, it could easily become a great game - which I understand is not really something to criticise as this is a game jam and creating enemies and polishing controls is a lot of work to do. Another thing is that I feel like a boss is missing from the game, like there's a lack of a climax in the progression of difficulty, but then again this is a game jam. What I'm trying to say is that this is one of those games made for jams that could developed into a short 1-2 hour games and be really enjoyable. Great job overall.

A puzzle game where you draw water from a well to water your plants. The water in the well grows and can overflow if you're not careful. The less water in the well, the more moves you can make. The water will grow your plants and the Red Weed too.

Nice game, but it's too long. It could have worked much better with shorter level IMO. still pretty cool.

Good game, but once you realise the trick it becomes quite tedious. You should try to create more mechanices to make this game really work.

NIce game, but it falls in to the trap of having no tenison since losing is impposible.
