My entry for Nokia Art Jam 3. "KULESHOV EFFECT" mini-comic-project:
*Please, Mr. Polyducks, insert any entry between these two pictures here, this is important for the concept. Thank you very much!*
Jam entries are closed! Thanks for your entries.
Hello, I'm new and French. I'm happy to join this jam and it's my first jam. I hope i understood the instructions correctly. Here is my contribution. It was inspired by an old game I played at the same time I have my old Nokia, an Amstrad Game. This game was JAMES POND, a little spy fish. Here is a version in the spirit of the traditional James Bond movie theme song. I think it's funny for James Bond to play James Bond parody game in the middle of a chase. Thank you all for your constructive criticism.

-Tomie panels (why not? he is reading some manga hahaha)
-And something from videogames
Hi Polyducks, Thanks! I'm happy you liked them.
The group where I saw the ad was in one called Pixel art +, Grant Johnson share the Jam in the group (I thing he participate), Pixel art + community is pretty warm.

See you!
Submission #1 is the mobile Nokia version of Metal Gear Solid. I should have checked the thread before working on these, because @Ze Noon had the idea first two weeks ago, and their version looks a million times better. Oh well …

Just for fun, here’s colorized version:

And submission #2, which no-one seems to have thought up yet, as far as I can tell: What if LUMON and their severance procedure existed in the 90s?

And, once more, a colored version just because it looks nice …

This was fun! Hope to create more for this in the coming days …
Here's my submission, it's a shooter game against practice targets where if you miss them, they shoot back at you. Because of course they do.
And here is it enlarged, so that people can actually see it in all of its minimalist glory:
This was such a fun thing to make, makes me regret procrastinating and not entering last year's edition even more.
You take the edge off the night with a shaken martini, and the edge off the action packed car chase with a cozy farming sim. Petal Pillar offers relaxation and mindfulness on the go. Tend to your plants, cash in on the prized petals and invest in your garden in the sky. Don't get too distracted or that car chase could end in a daisy doozy.

It's so exciting to share my artwork (which I have been working on for WEEKS!) with this awesome Nokia Art Jam 3! I am an absolute newbie pixel artist, but I wanted to share many other versions of my art, and even though (I think) I posted my reply a few days ago, I am rewriting my submission!
Submission:
Bond was hacked in the middle of the game! The ad pops up with the theme of 'Bond Girl'. I tried a few things with the font, and I kind of like the result!

I hope to join another fun Jam later on! Love to all pixel artists out there :)
This is my entry for the Jam, I don't know if this is allowed for one entry (multiple images [and an animation]), if it isn't then I'd like the first image to be my entry.
The idea was for it to be a "lost" Nokia version of 'Luigi's Mansion', as the timelines match up quite well (also because I love putting in easter eggs in for the people who know). :)
IMPORTANT NOTE: Updated entries, please replace the former ones
Submissions 2 & 3, where I try to show some of the game mechanics of the "Oligarch Pool Date Game" (sic).

Submission 3

The idea behind the game is that you have to successfully flirt with one of various oligarchs in order to complete the mission, before the time runs out (represented as a bar on the bottom of the game). The different pools have an increasing number of oligarchs and also serve as difficulty levels. The oligarchs might like you or not based on their own unique personality ;)
Hello! I didn't think I'd make it in time, but here's my idea, mixing up a bunch of familiar concepts.

I wanted a concept that might actually be playable so I envisioned it as being an extension of the classic Snake control scheme, but with a focus on navigating an environment and contending with obstacles such as cameras, lasers, wall vents and so on while following an objective-based mission structure. The game would scroll through different areas on a larger map (with some of the rooms being obscured if they were locked) and you would be able to find consumables like jammers, wirecutters, keycards and so on to deal with the stage obstacles. Navigating the environment itself would be tricky as well since you'd have to avoid colliding with walls, furniture or yourself, in the typical snake game fashion.

Lastly, it was kind of hard to find a good close-up of the phone, but I managed to put together a Photoshop mock-up. That was fun to reverse engineer!
And my second group of submissions: What is Bond playing on his Nokia? Why, Sheryl Crow’s Bond song for “Tomorrow Never Dies” of course!

What he could also be playing is an episode of a contemporary animated show from 1997: Daria …

This was FUN! Great job, everyone! Scrolling through your entries is SO inspiring!
@Polyducks Thanks for organizing this event!
Nokia Desert Bus! For when you want to spend 8+ hours driving from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada on the go!
Note: Bond's high score, for the normal game, is 369 miles which would take at least 8 hours & 12 minutes, and likely was done on a flight between missions.

The Nokia Desert Bus VN:
This is my submission for Nokia Art Jam 3, my idea was too make a Pokemon style game that also had ideas from Yo-kai Watch and Undertale. I imagine it couldve been like if Nokia tried too have theyre own pokemon competitor back in the day. The company who would be responsablie for this series would be the fictional game company Nomira.
(Reuploaded too fix some mistakes i didnt originally notice)
Hope everyone had fun during the jam!

Hello guys! When I think about Nokia games I think about Diamond Rush. This game was released for newer phones so I wanted to convert it into something that could fit the 3310. The next 5 pictures kind of show all of the things that I did for this piece. I also made an animation with the tiled based movements, it has it's charm to be honest! Also it is really hard to make this kind of game that readable without using a blank background but I feel like I did a fine job! Hope you guys like it!
