1 Thats unfortunate, kind of clashes with the idea i had, when you say poster iam confused? Do you mean the whole page should be a poster? Beacuse i thought like a banner or splash screen art with text under. Then i thought a blurb under the main game could mention and show another unrelated hot upcomming game. Though if that dosent work is spinoffs allowed or games for other consoles thats still of the same series?
2 Ill include a picture of what i meant beacuse its hard to explain in words:

3 Awesome!
4 Good that mentions are allowed and absolutely! no screenshots of other games. All the art and "screenshots" will be original art and if anything else is used like a font or picture itll be public domain or something youre allowed to use. Anything under creative commons 0 should be fine right?
Though iam a bit unsure where the limits go? Can you show pictures of actual real life consoles and controllers, real life footage etc?
Also just to check so i got it right, from how it was worded i assume its not a requirement that the console itself is fictional but that its a nice touch if you do. But if you dont thats alright, is that how you meant?
Some questions i came up with:
Can you have multiple games on the same page?:
I kind of want to do it like Nintendo Power, Famitsu, Dengeki Playstation where theres a main game but other games with their own screenshots are also being disscused.
Can you instead do a two page spread too have the same topic?
Is all text in the magazine allowed to be pixelart if id want that?
And are you allowed to mention actual game consoles and other actual game franchises? As long as the actual meat of the magazine is original. Like for example: This game has things in common with Tomba! Another gem on the PS1 but this one is instead etc
I think it sounds very happy and not very dramatic and like it could be okay to hear often. I think music for a boss battle should be something youre not alright with hearing all the time.
As a example Megalovania, Spider Dance and Death by Glamour work great as boss music but wouldnt be good battle music. At the same time Rude Buster isnt a good boss theme you need Vapor Buster for that.
I think a boss fight can sound like anything and whats most important is that its tailored for the boss. Maybe try muting boss fights and play regular music over it, it completely changes the vibe and removes the tension of the fight
But thats just a suggestion and what i thought. Other people might feel diffrent
