Did you work in a team?
I did the design, coding, and graphics. Chris (@gruber_music) did the music and sfx. We've worked together before and it is always a pleasure!

Was the resolution a challenge?
No problem with the resolution. I rarely go above 128x128. :)

Got 48. Never played golf before, learned fast. Great lesson, how to use pixels. Swim animation is a masterpiece. Best submission I’ve played at moment.

Super impressive game! The polish and simple gameplay was really nice. It would be an awesome project to develop further :)

Amazing work! It reminded me a little of Simgolf. Your game is very fun!

I'm generally not a big fan of sports games, but this is a really awesome take on golf.  Excellent job, 5-stars all around!  Now, please work on a mod with no golf and only golf cart combat  XD

Very fun game, especially when driving.

This is one of the greatest games I've ever played. Golf translated to pixel form perfectly. After my 9 holes I felt like sticking around. So I hopped in another cart and tore the place up. What an awesome game.

Best game I've played so far this jam. Would love to see the expanded to minigolf as someone else mentioned or a full 18 hole course.

Can't wait to see the game extended. Maybe we'll see some mini-golf courses? With loops, windmills and all that :))

Very fun to run stuff over with the cart :P

Really fun game!

I mean, what is there to say except this is really good? It looks beautiful, there are loads of little interactive touches so that, despite the resolution, it still feels really immersive, and it's just overall a relaxing, enjoyable experience!

You did an amazing job with with the user experience and everything feels so smooth! You also added so many effects such as the car leaving trails and destroying signals! and the different terrain resistances.

As I already commented on twitter, a masterpiece :) Also having Gruber for music is wining hand (not to self, find a musician sidekick!)! Lots of details everywere!

Amazing game, fun and a nice pixel art.

Btw the golf cart is the best!!

Amazing game, love all of the detail! Being able to  run over the signs and flags with the golf cart is a nice touch!

Wonderful entry (as always) - a cozy golf game, perfect for playing on a Sunday (as I did!)
Great gfx, mechanics and music (Chris!) - had a blast while scoring a "course worst" score! 😁

Beyond impressive! Everything about this game is just awesome. Can't even pinpoint any specifics :)

Lovely arcady golf game! I love the overall aesthetics of the game, the visuals, the audio, the gameplay it all just fits together so well.

It's great that you have different types of underground for the golfing itself and also for the golf cart. The destructible environment is a great little detail.

Some minor points for the gameplay I would have liked:

  • being able to influence the accuracy of long shots at least a little bit, for example doing first button press for the general direction and then for the shot a quick time event like for the putting
  • make the quick time event for putting easier, the closer you are to the hole - it felt like it didn't matter where you end up on the green as long as you end on it

Scored 44 points on the first playthrough btw.

Amazing work! This feels really polished. I especially love how the player affects the environment. Running into things is fun!
