Really fun game with a wonderful atmosphere. The music as well really brought everything together for me. One thing I'd do though is tweak the RNG such that you don't wind up in a loop of not being able to move. I remember getting no moves for a solid 5 or 6 turns in a row while that enemy with the 3 square hit range was attacking me and being completely helpless until I died.

Excellent presentation, I'm a sucker for good pixel art. Game had a lot of fun and unique ideas, I especially like how you make your own dice and that enemy attack each other. It game the game a move organic and dynamic feel
Really neat! As others have said, customizing the dice is really cool, but still the gameplay was too luck-based. Maybe also showing the opponent’s next moves would make the game more strategy and less luck.
And with a few polishes here and there, and possibly another mechanic so that you could use unwanted rolls differently, it could turn into an awesome full game!
Congrats!
I really liked the idea of making my own dice, it's cool. The graphics are very good and atmospheric.
I think it was cool to force the player to use all the dropped edges, only to change the order, otherwise it turns out too easy. My opponent walked through the abyss though.
Really cool game !! I loved being hit with the compose your own die screen after the first level.
Roll dice to do action + Customize your own dice is such a great idea.
great game, just feel a bit too slow.
A game with potential.
I liked the mechanic but it just didn't feel polished, and the turns on the second level were utterly confusing.
I love the dice customization--this is the first time I've seen that idea explored in this jam! If you wanted to push this game further, I think that you should lean more into that. But it could be a little slow if you didn't get a good balance of movement/attacking. Maybe there could be different dice you roll for different forms of movement or attacking?
A very unique game, I like the fact that you could manipulate a bit the rarity of the move you were rolling, I would have like some camera shake when you take damage, and one Improvement I would like the pitch is to let the unused actions in the grid box, don't destroy them before every roll, that would really increase the thinking in my opinion. But other than you made a really slick job and I actually enjoyed it so much I played it entirely, which is something I can't say for every submission I tried.
Really fun! I liked that you get to choose the dice sides. Only issue was just waiting for all the enemy moves took a bit too long
Very cool idea for a game and love the pixel art! The fact i can make my own dice is great with some more options this could be a super fun and indepth puzzle game.
Good Job!
A really enjoyable game. The idea is very interesting, and most importantly, quick and easy to understand. I think the art and sound is done really well too.
This was really neat, creating your own dice to fit what your playstyle made for a clever spin on the "dice to move" style. Unfortunately, as with luck based games, sometimes I got really screwed over hard and as there isn't a way to restart at the level you were at, it sent me to the start and I had to put the game down.
I think having a checkpoint system would be great to solve that, but I also think an interesting addition you could have is allowing you to maybe weight your dice? Say you pick 1 face on the dice that you want: you could guarantee that at least 1 of the 3 rolls will be that face every time (allowing for some more control over the game and strategy), or make it generally slightly higher odds overall to get that face.
Loved the artstyle and sound design as well! Hope you make more of this, it has a good hook and I enjoyed playing it!
I felt like the music would overlap? That sounded a bit strange, but that's just a side issue. I liked the idea, even if it took me a little to understand the whole thing. The concept is really well done and it's also fun, there's also a bit of strategy involved!
Really enjoyed the look and vibe of this game. The gameplay felt a bit slow, but it was fun to play! Thanks heaps :)
