Such a wonderfull game.

I love it so much. The concept is pretty interesting and rewarding.

It would be cool to have some more quality of life improvements (like attack particles and seeing the dice underneath the ui when selecting it).

But for a game jam game this is soo good :D

Probably the most creative and functioning game I've played yet! Really like the choices in between levels and trying to find a path to roll the dice to maximize damage. Nice one.

It was a bit confusing at first but I liked it when I got used to it. Its got a good boardgame feel to it and I feel like you could go in that direction aesthetically it would be appropriate. I do wish I could see the different sides of the a weapons die before picking it and I could see what they roll is before the die is set down. Also the right click drag thing doesn't feel great.

I really appreciate the feedback and the time you spent playing our game! I'm glad to hear you ended up liking it.  A board game aesthetic would definitely fit this game, and we do plan to redo the graphics in a newer version, even giving each weapon's dice their own unique model. As well as more features like being able to combine dice perhaps? I do regret not spending time to show the faces of the weapon's dice before you choose them as a reward.

I do agree that the right click drag for inspecting the die doesn't feel that great. It was worse, since originally the camera would instantly snap to the die, so I added a smooth transition last minute. Although, in hindsight, it probably should have eased out, instead of easing in. You just gave me an idea, which is to lift up the die from the board, and rotate that instead of the camera. Don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place haha.

It takes a while to learn everything about the game, but it's so much fun as you figure it out!  I kept replaying it to try to get to the boss.

Also got stuck on the last level.  Last level before boss, but instead of finishing the level and giving me a reward, it just showed "YOU WIN!  NG+ Unlocked."  But the button for "Menu" did nothing when pressed.  I could see the pressed animation, and tried my KB, which also made it show the pressed animation, but nothing happened.

Oh well.  I really did have a lot of fun with this game, spent a couple hours on it trying to get to the end :D

Pro tips for players:

- Read the "How To" within the game, not just the one below the game on the itch page

- You can only place the dice at the bottom.

- When the die hits an enemy, the number on top is the damage amount

- Red bars above an enemy represent the damage it does

- Restore health doesn't always restore 100% of your health.  Add health increases your max health by 3 and restores 3 health.

- Plan your moves before starting to roll dice

- Avoid the mountain levels, they sometimes soft-lock the game

Hey I really appreciate the feedback! Its a shame that there are quite  a few bugs that a we wish we could patch out, but I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway.

Those are some really great tips. I have some to add to help:

- Restore health heals you for 50% of your max health, and increase health gives you a 15% max health increase and heals that amount too.

- Javelin is underrated because of its speed.

- Stun weapons are OP

And here's some Bugs to be aware of for future players:

- BUG: Mountains AND glacier can also soft-lock so best avoid them too if you wanna go far. This is due to an unfortunate bug with validating spawn positions.

- BUG: Ballista does not work when positioned to the right of enemies, for some reason.

- BUG: Daggers don't activate their special

- BUG: Ethereal Needle only works sometimes

- BUG: Spike Shield does not work

Most of these bugs have been fixed for the 1.1 patch, so look out for it when the voting is over!!

This game had fantastic visual and sfx juice - the sound effects, dice dragging/dropping and rolling were all very fun to do! Loved applying the concept of weapons to dice and I enjoyed choosing which path to follow. Very, very clever concept!

Love this idea it left me wanting to see more new kinds of creative weapons

Took me a bit to learn the game properly, but it was definitely a cool idea. I would have changed the color scheme a little bit to make some of the enemies stand out a bit more.
