I baked you a pie. Oh boy what flavour? Pie Pie Pie...

In all seriousness this is a nice game with some good background music! The gameplay is fun and the idea is interesting!

Good job!

I liked the music. Game is easy to understand. Great job!

Very nice battle game. Good use of the theme and mostly simple to understand.

Thanks!

The UI is a very confusing at first, and you get loaded up on useless dice very fast, but with a bit of retooling, this game could be great. Overall, not bad, but has a few things keeping it back.

Developer

Thanks heaps! Yeah definitely keen to give it some little touches.

Interesting game and fairly complex for a jam game

Developer

Thanks!

I showed these monsters! Let them not be offended.

Realy great game! one thing i would want is selling dice or better inventory system

Developer

Thanks! Yeah there needs to be a way to remove dice as you get further into the game.

I really like the battle system combining dices and cards and how the dices can vary from number of usefull sides and damage in each side.

Don't know if it was a bug or I didnt figure out the gameplay, but I had two bows in my deck, however as soon as I put one in play the other vanished. Probably that's me not figuring it out. haha

Good work, very interesting idea.

Developer(+1)

thanks heaps! No that’s absolutely a bug, sorry!

Not a big deal, to b honest. I really enjoyed playing 😊

Really nice roguelite game, love the combat system being implemented. With a bit more balance and more strategic choices, I definitely can see this as a game I would play for a long time. (I really am a big fan or roguelites).

Also, I think my bow dice bugged? I had two, but when selecting one, the other one vanishes from the options?

Congrats on completing the jam !

Developer(+1)

Thanks PizzaScript! Yeah I think with some tidying up and playtesting (lol) it could be quite balanced and fun. I didn't notice until the jam was over, but there's a bug where if you buy two of the same dice from the store and select one, it filters them both from the list. Annoying I didn't pick it up earlier because having lots of dice was a goal for the gameplay.

Nice game ! I love the idea, and had a lot of fun grinding in order to get overpowered and massacre my opponents.

Submitted(+1)

This is really interesting! The use of dice is really fun, and the overall style and flow of combat is fun and engaging! Definitely something I could see myself enjoying for a long time!

Submitted(+1)

That was really cool! I loved the gameplay and the aesthetic was also very nice. My only complaint is that the animation that rolled the dice looked a little weird but other than that, really good job!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah the dice animation was a last two hours polish and I didn’t have time to fix it.

Submitted(+1)

Very cool game, great execution of the concept! Animations were a little wacky but everything seemed smooth enough, only small detail would be I'd love to see what dice the enemies have to use before I choose mine, so I can prepare better.

Also, can I sell my dice? I couldn't figure out how after I accidentally bought another knife.

Developer(+1)

Thanks heaps!

I didn't get around to implementing selling dice, but I did want to introduce a mechanic for slimming down your dice choices.

Love the presentation here! I saw a few games with this idea but none executed as well as you. Also thanks for sharing the tool that you used to make the art!

Submitted(+1)

The presentation was actually really great! Really cool game!

The simple but elegant ideas are always my favourites in jams- what if a deck builder had dice instead of deterministic cards? There are some real decision making moments both in the shop and in combat, trying to optimize the chances of doing more and taking less damage. Great idea! Lots of potential for expansion in the future!

Developer(+1)

Thanks Big Roy! I can definitely see some interesting ways to expand the gameplay, but keep the game simple.

Best deck builder I have seen on the jam so far. I really like that you've decided to include some greedy strategies in the game (I am having the time of my life casting loot and two defence spells against a passive enemy lol).

RPG progression system is also really cool, all the stats fell impactfull (except health, which you can farm on passive enemies) and getting new dice for your arsenal feels very nice.

Overall - great time killer. Good job!

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah the HP situation is a bit out of hand. I think adding a max HP that you pay to level would help. There’s a lot of fun little mechanisms I’d like to add to make the game more well-rounded as well.

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, I like how much content it has.

Submitted(+1)

Really like the overall game, and I sort've felt a feeling of greed when seeing the menu with all the dice I could purchase and upgrades, wanted to get them all. I do not understand some aspect of the game tho, like why the knife dice always either lands on an empty side or a knife that deals only one damage, why is that if the dice has six sides ? Anyways, good entry for a 48 hours jam, you manage to make a nice package :)))

Developer(+1)

Thanks heaps! You can hover over the dice to see the 6 sides on them. From a game mechanics / game feel point of view the concept was I wanted to make a game where you feel really powerful because you have a lot of dice and roll them all at once. To make that kind of balanced I made the dice have blank sides. I focused a lot on polish in the last day, so I'm not sure that goal was realised!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool concept! Would have liked to see the ability to hold a certain amount of die during a reroll, but I really enjoyed the gameplay!

Developer

Thanks heaps! Yeah locking in dice was part of the plan but got left to last and then cut.
