This is such a creative idea, and a very polished game. Easily 5 stars, good job :D

Very addicting, and great music. I especially love how the terrain updates when you remove a patch.

Ohhhh, I'm so sorry, now I understand. A visual indication indication would have been nice when you couldn't move. Sorry if the previous comment came in a bit rash.

I made so much money that even the game couldn't comprehend lol. The one nit pick I have is that I don't really see why that many choices of betting, I only used all in when I was absolutely sure I saw the answer and 1/4 when I couldn't find it in time. But overall a nice game with a unique take on the theme.

Dudeeeee, you are an absolute beast, I can only imagine what you can create in year, keep  this up and don't stop improving.

Really great system that take a lot of skill and though to play optimally.

A very unique game, I like the fact that you could manipulate a bit the rarity of the move you were rolling, I would have like some camera shake when you take damage, and one Improvement I would like the pitch is to let the unused actions in the grid box, don't destroy them before every roll, that would really increase the thinking in my opinion. But other than you made a really slick job and I actually enjoyed it so much I played it entirely, which is something I can't say for every submission I tried.

Really good looking game but it need more juice like camera shake and particles also sound effects and music music (although I do admit that the limited developing time wasn't very generous). One thing I would like to point out is that it was annoying  for me to keep clicking the next button, in my opinion you should press it only when you are ready to roll the rest should be automatic. But that's just my opinion, keep up the good work.

There are way too many bullets, also the 5 and 6 powers are available? because I kept rolling to see all the shooing powers but didn't rolled one above 4. Other then that I really dig the art style and the gameplay is chaotic but enjoyable.

If you use Cinemachine check every object in your scene, the player and the enemy prefabs and make sure they all have the Z Position in the Transform Component  set 0. Hope that helps.

This is such a meme game and I love it.

A great looking game that plays great, but it's very hard (I didn't make it past the second level). You all put a lot of work into this and it show. But I do have a question, if I can use the dice to get some powerups charges why I cannot use them to heal myself that?

(1 edit)

Amazing pixel art, and those rolling animation, omg, they are so good. I can see that this type of gameplay is very common this jam but this one is my favorite so far.

Edit: So Glad I gave the 69th rating.  NIce!  :D

Dude, this looks awesome, as someone who struggled at my 32x32 pixel art during the jam I can only imagine what you have been through. The dice idea is neat and the elemental dices really sparks up the gameplay.

Nice looking game but why is the player moving soooo slow? also sometimes the controls just didn't work for some reason.

Addicting game but I feel like the dice wasn't really important in this type of game, I mean you could  always replace the dice with some sort of boxy character that charges up as you match colors. Other than that this is a very solid entry.

The idea is neat but your game lacks a bit of polish like game shake and particles (just for enemies, I know when you get hit the player has a particle effect). And also the crosshair is way too small .

The effects were nice and the shooting was over the top but it was hard to keep up with the constant ability change, maybe you could change the dice player face when the shooting changes, instead of looking in the top right of the screen.

For me it was hard to get a grasp of how the game works, but when I finally understood the rules it was a fun but hard puzzle game, with simplistic art design. The one thing I can tell you to improve are the tutorial levels, don't let player figure those levels out, show them how you can place the carrots and how to knight moves. Well that and of course the art but for a 48 hours game jam gameplay is the first priority.

Hi, you created an interesting game with very very good visuals and unique gameplay. But I do have a question,  is the game is finished? because I got to the part that I need to find the casino owner and Death said I need at leas 300 money, I made that but then nothing happens, Death appears again repeating the same dialogue saying that I need at least 300 money.

Haha, that's GENIUS!

Very addicting to roll the dices, and the fact that you can accidentally heal the enemies and attack or kill yourself is very cleaver. You know, if the enemies had actual 3d models instead of cubes and with a bit more restriction as the levels progress, like for example add some cover walls that shield the enemies from your spells, I can see this game actually published on Steam.  Keep up the good work!

Hit thanks for playing my game. About your question the answer is no, I made this game endless, also you must be very good at the game or very luck, when I play-tested I couldn't go past the 7th wave.

Hi thanks for playing. The skip turn button is a tiny arrow placed, the last in place from other buttons. To perform a  turn skip, you prress the button once and then click on yur character (there should be an arrow pointing at the current player's turn). You can do that anytime not just if you run out of chips. Hope this was helpful.

Glad I was helpful, and very very glad I don't actually got a bug like that in my game.

Initially I wanted these basic abilities for everyone then 1 more powerful one different for each character that would cost like 7 or 8, unfortunately time was very short. Also try playing the game on full screen mode, there seems to be an issue of UI scaling.

Thank you so much for the feedback, really appreciate it.

After you click it you will need to click your character again to actually pass their turn (there is suppose to be a floating arrow above the current player's head). I just updated the description, feel free to read that as well. Thank you so much for your feedback, I wanted to have a tuturial about all these thing but unfortunately didn't got enough time.

Yeah... That was because I didn't wanted for players to misclick a button. That's why all the buttons need 2 presses each. But overall thank you, now I might add in the description an explanation of all the buttons.

Well no, the little arrow in the right is for skipping a characters turn, you know if you want to hold on to your chips for the next round or if you don't have any

This is actually fun for a jam game but there are a few problems that i noticed like when you move diagonally you have twice the speed, so try to Normalize the vector, also it got really frustrating because i would die right after i reply to the cat head and the i need to play it form the beginning so it would be nice to have a lot of check-points for a noob like me.

Very original idea, great use of the theme and the mechanic of rewinding is very well made, even the enemies and projectiles are rewinding. The art is very good and I really liked the gameplay, but one suggestion is to make the player shoot instead of swiping a sword, I mean on paper it will be so cool, like to shoot a bullet at the clock as the time depletes and you hit it with just 0.3 seconds left, that would make the game even better in my opinion but keep in mind is just a suggestion the game is already very great, good job guys!!!

Also 7 seconds left before the deadline, that is so close!!!

The idea is very nice, I also implemented in my game an all out powerful attack that obliterates all of the enemies on the screen, but in your game is more like an option if you charge or not which doesn't make any sense to charge the nuke cause you are better off holding the left click in my opinion.

The visuals and audio are your strongest point, but you still lack some little but important things like a feedback when you get hit, also I think the resolution is not set properly because I didn't see any UI like the NUKE charge or the player HP, if I had to guess you ran out of time considering this was submitted 14 min before the jam ended.

Overall this is still a very well polished end-product and quite fun, also HUGE respect for the guy who did the art.

This is by far the best entry I played this game jam so far, the style is great and it mimics perfectly an old tv form the 90s, the theme is not very strong but "I'll allow it", you got a very fun and polished game and you should be proud of that.

I can't really tell you anything else in terms of improving the gameplay itself(you did a really great job by yourself), one suggestion would be to add a Game Over screen a bit of cooldown when the player dies.

Great job dude your game, in my opinion, is the best  entry in this jam by far, good luck!

You have to be joking, I mean you made all of this in a week, all by yourself??!! Man you are a one man army, the ship variety was insane, a ton of enemies (some of them fired bullets too fast, you need to look on that), a mini boss fight, really juicy particles and some awkward voice lines(I swear I heard something about Megatron).

Good job man, you have my admiration, the only things I would add is a game over screen with the score and a game mod where all of those ships cycles one after the other at every let s say 10 seconds and you have a health bar at the bottom.

So good!!!

This doesn't fit the bullet hell category very well and the theme "10 seconds" wasn't implemented at all so I'm wandering if this game was even made during the jam if it was then I'm sorry.

Other than that pretty solid work, I especially like the art style, it reminds me of the style of Genndy Tartakovsky, the gameplay is fun but is quite hard so and i think that the slash is too good compared to the based projectiles, and the audio was non existent which is a bummer cause that would improve the game as a whole.

Slick work guys!!!

Please jus try to do some art, I mean this game is quite soulless, try to use a color pallet, add some post-processing(especially bloom), also the hitboxes are way to unfair and when you died it just pops out a "You died" screen with no cooldown like try to add a time for the player to actually see where he/she messed up and make that cube explode or something.

Not a very solid game but it's a start, so do not get discouraged and keep improving.

The game looks alright visually but you shouldn't be focusing on that right now in my opinion, the design of the starship being a star quite neat but when you are shooting you don't quite know the exact trajectory the bullets so I suggest to have like some lines that shows that and you need to make the player rotate based on something like the position of the mouse cursor because you are limited in terms of aiming.

There are other things like polishing the controls and making different enemies, but I think you should concentrate on the things I said earlier.

For a starting point this game is really good, keep on improving your skills!

If you are going for a difficult game try to make it more fair, I mean the final boos 3 shots me and I have no invincibility frames after I get hit, the power of healing after 10 seconds is useless if you die in only 2 seconds. And also I would suggest to make your own assets for your next project even if you don't have experience.

I hope that you will keep up doing games even if you didn't quite hit the target this time, but hey that is how you get experience.

Keep it up man!

The first thing that went through my mind when I first saw was "OMG a cat on a paper plane" and I was even more surprised with the polish of this game. The idea is nice but the cards i feel that the cards are slowing down the paste of the game and it was weird because the game told me to use the powerups using the L CTRL and the button was actually L SHIFT, that need to be changed after the jam.

I'm sure that your team worked very hard for this game and the end result is outstanding. I also hope that your team will stay together for many more projects.

Good luck guys!!!

There are a few problems here and there some small ones like when you destroy an asteroid and it just disappears, no sound and no particles, and some bigger ones like when you push an arrow key the ship shoots in the current position before rotating and then shoot.

These things that I pointed out were not to be negative, is just some things that needs changes because you got a pretty good game with a pretty good art style and an interesting idea and is a shame it is dragged down because of these flaws.
