Really like the variety of spaceships and attacks each one has, as the various enemy attacks. The sound is also very good. Awesome work for only one person!
I loved how every time you die it switches ships. My only recommendation is that when you reach a boss it has it so you constantly move forward unless you hold back and I found that really awkward, if that wasn't so, I believe this game would be even better. Great job though.
i'll for sure take a look xd! thanks
Pretty awesome game. Love the different played ships and shooting styles (perhaps switching to a different player ship every 10 seconds would have been cool?). I also would have tuned the bad guys shooting straight down to shoot a bit slower so they're more comfortable to shoot straight at them with your ship. Other than that a pretty good implementation, good job!
Thanks xd
Super fun and nostalgic! Very fun voice over bits too, great game!
thanks <3
Great game! The amount of player ships is just crazy, I loved it. I really loved all the retro shoot 'em up vibes the game gave out. Visuals and audio are really well done. I had a lot of fun playing, even playing a few times just to test some ships a bit more. :)
Great job!
This is great to read, thanks!!
You have to be joking, I mean you made all of this in a week, all by yourself??!! Man you are a one man army, the ship variety was insane, a ton of enemies (some of them fired bullets too fast, you need to look on that), a mini boss fight, really juicy particles and some awkward voice lines(I swear I heard something about Megatron).
Good job man, you have my admiration, the only things I would add is a game over screen with the score and a game mod where all of those ships cycles one after the other at every let s say 10 seconds and you have a health bar at the bottom.
So good!!!
Omg, thanks xd. I'll for sure add more features after this jam, your comment means a lot to my process, thanks again! o/
I really enjoyed you game, amazing variety of player ships and well balanced shooting damage. Enemies we cool too, sometimes a bit unfair, not being able to anticipate them or kill them. I was able to finish the game so thats felt really nice. Brought back nice memories from old arcades!
I'm glad you liked it <3 thanks for your feedback
I couldn't believe how many ships there were for the player—thought that was really cool. Nice work!
Thanks
I loved that! I don't really have anything negative to say, maybe the voice lines, while being a good idea, lacks clarity (we don't always understand what is being said). Other than that it's really good! I really enjoy the ship designs too :)
Thanks for your feedback xd!
This was a blast! Loved it! A few of my critiques maybe just personal preference. Enemy bullets were on the small side. It was sometimes hard to see them. Some kind of indicator for enemies spawn at the bottom of the screen would be good. But those were my only issues. I loved the variety of enemy ships AND player ships. Really nice job!
Thanks, after this jam i'm about to check the screen resolution and this may help to see some bullets, and... Yeah, will put an indicator too, i've received some feedbacks about it and i totally agree xd! Really loved your feedback <3 thanks!
I didn't even notice the score was broken XD
You ship's hit area is a bit unclear though and the boss could have some shooting sound effects and the music could be more action-y, it is too ominous and relaxing. Some of the attacks could be better telegraphed, with some sound effects
Other than that, the gameplay is fun, the art is good-looking and the different ships every time you die keeps the game fresh as you go
Nice work! :D
I had no time to put the sounds on the enemies: x one of the things i pretend to implement after the jam time! But really appreciated your feedback! Thanks!
It's so fun see all the ships variantions and the voice lines to each one, the gameplay is easy to understand and i really liked the enemy that starts to shoot more after you hit it.
Haha, thanks <3
So nostalgic, in a good way; this really felt for the most part like a traditional mid-'80s shooter, and I absolutely love that. Commendable effort in the variety of player ships too, I was surprised to see so many!
Good enemy design, patterns, attack telegraphing. Solid enough that I'd want a full game of this. <3
I've discover this hobby recentelly and i am loving creating games, means a lot that u like it! thanks <3
if you game over then your score doesn't reset, which kind of kills the fun (Though, at least you managed to put in a score system....)
I would've liked it if the screen was a bit bigger without having to go to fullscreen, especially as the game looks nice :)
The score system broke at the last moment and i couldn't fix it fast :( sorry . I felt the same about the fullscreen i'll take a look after the jam ends how to fix it.. Really appreciate your feedback <3 thanks!
Interesting take on the theme! Maybe the only thing I can point out is the ships coming from below are very difficult to dodge, they're almost always a guaranteed death. Really good job!
Yeah, i should've warn when they come back hehe xd. Thanks for your feedback!
Fun game! I like the music and the art. Sometimes itβs easy to get caught off guard when youβre hugging the edge of the screen, for example when ships come from below. I like the variety of player ships, some of them felt useless to me though. And if you beat it with no hits you will only be able to use the first one. An interesting idea would be to order the ships from least powerful to most, that way you get stronger the more you die. Also if you keep shooting after the boss is dead the credits instantly skip :(
Interesting and fun game overall!
I had some personal problems at the start and i lost 3-4 days off :x. Actually i wanted to implement this order system and give the ships more unique powers and stuffs, but i had no time to accomplish this objective... So i simplified my idea to meet to the deadline in time! This is my first jam at all and i didn't want to lose... But, thanks i really enjoyed your feedback and sorry for jumping the credits :(!
i love the art and the voice acting but hitting the enemy was kinda hard cuz whenever i want to go below the enemy the bullet just too many and dont let me get passed. anyways awesome game
Thanks, really appreciated ur feedback!
loved the voice acting my dude :D
Thanksss <3
Very snappy and well polished game -really fun! loved the hit effects! :D
Thanks xd
Very fun game, love the idea of a squad and all the art assets for them.
thanks <3
