Was a little too late to rate this game for the jam, but I wish I wasn't because this game is really good. The art style is incredibly detailed for a jam, the music is good, there are a shocking number of abilities and enemies even in later waves, and the only major bugs I discovered seem to be with the engine you used, and not because of your code. Very well done. I am super impressed by this game.
Really nice looking, but the ennemies are really weird. At first, I was fighting some kappas from Yokai-Watch and then at wave 4 or so I fight the popular girl that spawn from the TV. What ?
This game looks beautiful! It sounds amazing! The gameplay is super fun! It's full of charming character, I really want to see more of this!
I'm really like the art style on this one, they just looks too cute.
The gameplay was crisp and very entertaining.
Music and sound effect just ties everything else together neatly.
Truly deserves a full rating !
Also thank you for letting me pet the cat :D
This is the first game I played of the jam to make me feel vastly inferior 😅
The fact it was just one person who did the art AND code is just ridiculous on top of the art being very good and there being such a variety of enemies and effects.
Like there's actual replay value in trying out different builds which is kind of ridiculous for such a short jam.
It's even very on-theme to boot.
Only real complaints is the playfield feels smol and gets extremely cluttered past the first couple of rounds, telling yourself apart from the chaos and what sprites are friendly is all a big challenge.
A bit too challenging for my tastes but man is this an impressive submission.
I love it! Great submission, well polished very cute art, good concept... what else can you wish for in a jam entry!!!
This is great fun! Upgrading the dice makes it really addictive, and the mechanics were well implemented. Great job!
This game has some squishy and amazing visuals! Wouldn't say that the idea of being able to throw the dice at enemies is the most original, but the fact that there are various modifiers definitely makes it more unique and creative.
The game did bug out for me on my first playthrough. After clearing the first wave the screen became black, so I had to refresh the page and restart.
I liked the inclusion of the funny "yooooo" sound too :)
Great art, fun core loop. only thing I'd change is the hitbox size for dicing up the dice and the dice hitting the enemy, they seem smaller than you'd think. Otherwise great entry!
wow very high quality game(for jem).
nice art, music and gameplay.
super good game. great gameplay mechanics. good music. really fun. my only complaint is that everything in the game looks the same when there's a lot of things on screen so it becomes easy to lose track of where the player character and the aiming cursor are (maybe give them a special colour or something).
Best game I have played in the game jam!
Got to wave 9.
If I had say something bad, the hitboxes are a bit hard to know where they are.
I have no idea how small teams like you pull off games like theses with so many mechanics and enemies, with great animations, art, and music, in such a short lapse of time!
Also, the fact you put this in your music is gold
Awesome game! Gameplay feels great, music, sound and art is awesome. The total package! Great, great work!
I saw this game on NewGrounds. Great job on this submission! Really polished. The character was fun to control. The enemies look nice. The upgrades have a lot of variety. The whole aesthetic of the game is just near perfect. However, I felt like I couldn't really do much while getting cornered by a lot of enemies. Overall, an amazing game!
I am very impressed by how much items and enemies you have. It really keep you playing to see more of it. The game is also quite varied with lots of interesting subtlety like some enemies letting the dice pass and other blocking them.
The game is a bit chaotic but I think this is part of the fun but that sometimes make it difficult to understand what is happening with the different game system.
Pretty impressive work.
Awesome pixel art and presentation! The concept is also really cool. Nice job!
Amazing game, great art style, and variety - very impressive! I would’ve liked if the difference between enemies and ally critters were made clearer though.
Everything about this game is just sooo great. The way it looks, animations and sfx making it feel so good, a variety of effects you can attache to dice, all the little gimmicks.. just WOW! There's not much more to say it's just so good and fun. Love it!
Thanks for bringing it to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it
Update: I killed the boss!
Damn! I love the music and the design of everything (the enemies, the main character, the dice powers, the shopkeeper). It was genuinely fun to play!
