This game was a lot of fun with a great mechanic of FPS, except with a ball that ricochets off stuff and damages you from behind if you are not careful! The visuals were minimalist and cool (I like the teeth(?) monsters) and having the graphics as flat sprites in a 3D environment looked stylish and cool. I tend to get motion sickness really easily so at first I was worried upon seeing it was in first-person, but I had zero problems here, so great job there! Amazing work all around!

By the way, we played your game on our stream tonight!

Just saw the video. Thanks for playing :)

Really neat idea for the main mechanic.

It took me a bit to perform it well but once I did it felt really smooth and great.

Congrats on submitting!

This is a really polished implementation of a great core idea, it's always fun to have a weapon that is a risk to yourself and others, nice job!

Forget to right-click? That's a paddlin

I think this is actually one of my favorite games from this jam, it's a very simple idea, but, it works very well, the mechanic is smooth, addictive, and it has both that flow state where everything is going well and then suddenly you realize the ball is closer than you thought and it's too late, or it's behind your head and you just accept your fate knowing it's all over.

This somehow really captures the tension of a lethal paddle ball and if that doesn't sell you on it I don't know what will. Great job!

The mechanics are super fluid, and it's a nice game that has a very addictive flow state.  Absolutely a blast to play, and has an original premise. The controls were super simple and easy to get used to.  The experience utilizes the simple premise of a tennis-like gameplay, but is perfectly expressed as a game jam submission because of the polish it possesses.

My only critique is for the greed indicator to be more refined. I was able to return the ball back relatively early, without much of a downside. Perhaps the projectile could lose momentum if it's hit too early. Other than that, this is a very polished game, and that's why I think it's great.

I could see this being a feature in a larger game, either as a microgame, minigame, or training mode.  Wonderful job, and I hope this is expanded on in the future in some capacity.

Core mechanic aside, I think it's an interesting idea and has some lovely presentation. It could easily be expanded upon if you wanted to continue post jam.

Personally I couldn't get into the core mechanic - it's interesting but not something I enjoyed. Oddly I feel like I'd have had more fun with a mechanic like that if it were top down or isometric rather than first person..?

Either way, glad I played :)

Nice I really like this one. For feedback, to me it felt like the green indicator was almost always lit, making it pretty easy to just spam-click every time it lit up to redirect the ball. Curious if you gave any thought to tightening that window to increase the difficulty, but at the same time the monsters seemed to be perfectly difficult.

Great job! Would love to have you rate our game if you wouldn't mind <3

Really solid mechanic that fits the theme nicely. I like how the paddle ball can damage you as well. Means you always either have to keep moving or attacking. Cool game!

Finally found yours! Very nice as always, I don't get tired of these 3d-ish aesthetics at all. I must admit I died many times to leaving it a bit late to hit the ball back, but once you're in a rhythm it gets easier. Great concept and definitely a unique take on the theme as per usual ;) Good job!

Super fun concept! Having to bounce your bullet back and forth makes it so much more interesting that just firing a gun. I would love to see more things that make use of the fact it goes out and then in again, like enemies with shields you have to hit from behind

Love the mechanic and polish. Good job.

Now THIS is a top tier game! Super simple mechanic executed fantastically, and the 3d/pixel art aesthetic adds so much to it. Great work, I hope this does super well!

Love the mechanic! Feels very satisfying to hit someone with it. Kept dying at the start but figured it was because I was being attacked from behind.

Interesting idea! It is a bit fiddly at times I feel, or maybe I'm just bad a it ^^ But I liked it!
