Pretty unieqq Idea I love it XD, but it need's like a timer for each evet to happen so I could know how much each event will take and lear from that
P.S. the first Gamemake game I've played in a gamejam where it actualy work's XD and doesn't crash

How does your game fit the theme?
While you initially give your SMAHT CAH instructions to follow, once it starts following those instructions in the city everything is completely out of your control.
Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?
We created all art during the game jam
Did your team create the audio for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

That is a very interesting game mechanics ! needs a tuto maybe but still very cool :D
Nice game! It was such a joy to finally see the car reach the final destination. Good job!
Lol thats a funny game! At first I saw the car spinning like crazy and thought it would be a nearly impossible task to get those groceries! But a few more attempts and I did it! Looking forward to having this top notch technology in our streets xD
Great idea, I would like to have a smooth learning curve, more levels with increasing difficulty to learn how to play while playing.
Increasing difficulty rather than random placement of the groceries would have been a great idea! And sadly one that would have been easy to implement. Alas! It's funny how many logical ideas don't even get thought of on no sleep.
Thanks for playing and commenting! The community feedback has been very valuable. I was streaming while making this game, and all my chat was suggesting were more things that I could run over haha Next time I stream I'm going to scold them.
The game looks really awesome but I was really confused what to do at first, I think that even a text tutorial on the itch,io page would help out a lot. Still, it was a really good concept and I liked the art style, good job!
Thanks for playing! The general consensus seems to be that I could have done a much better job explaining the premise and I completely agree! I wanted the game to lean on trial and error, but when there are over 5,000 games to play for this jam asking players to dedicate that time to learn was pretty naive. I hope you at least got close to getting your groceries or at least blowing up by colliding into the milk truck.
Really interesting concept, second one I see that is about planing movement and let the character do it. Twist is here is that you sort of do it blindly, which make the situation hilarious, but at the same time frustrating if you aim to win. So yeah, neat little concept.
Pixel art is good, unfortunately no sound, so that's really missing. Coding wise, didn't see any bug. So yeah, good job !
I would have loved to have gotten sound in. It would have added just a little more punch.. and maybe some camera shakes, too, and some fire VFX and some random ramps and maybe two guys carrying around a glass pane. If I ever do come back to this game I'll be sure to give the player a little more control. Anyway, thanks for playing! I appreciate you giving it a go and commenting.
Instructions weren't super clear but i'm wicked smaht. Looks like there's plenty of room for some crazy antics. Nice game!
At first I thought the commands will be executed on the actual map, and was surprised when a real world appeared with correctly timed command executions. :D It was very fun though, good job!
Yeah, game jams are usually not the places where tutorials are properly made... :D We had some complaints too that there is too much to read before the game starts, and people sometimes simply skip it and then don't necessarily understand how the game is played. It's hard to balance how information is revealed to the player I guess. :)
Damn! I failed to get my groceries. Guess I'll have to go hungry tonight. XD
Good job. Loved the game.
Btw check out my game and tell me your views yeah? :)
It was worth it for that aha! moment when i finally got it. If you ever edit the game I recommend making the tutorial a bit easier to read, but otherwise interesting purely for the concept. I can see this working on a phone.
Thanks for playing and thanks for the comment! I'm so glad you got to the "aha!" moment which is really easy to achieve as the developer (because I tested it hundreds of times!), but as a result I forgot about how a new player would approach the game. And I completely agree with your point about the tutorial. Haha the UI is a complete, hard-to-read mess (600x600 - what was I thinking??), and I'd like to some day clean it all up to convey everything better. Thanks again for the feedback!
Thanks! Each command is expected to take one game/real life second. Trying to mentally calculate how far the car will travel in a second is something learned from trial and error, but reading your comment made me think I could have included a visual on the menu on how far that would be. In fact, being able to decide your initial speed or to "set speed" as a command would give the player a little more control. Thanks for playing and commenting, I really appreciate it! I kinda wish Game Jams had a community comment and testing period before the due date haha
I really liked the idea! It's definately fun. I couldn't get my groceries, tho. Then again, I really don't know how to drive a car in real life. Cheers!
I thought about grid based movement (it would have made my job a LOT easier!) but I wanted to use physics to retain the in-exact nature of the system... also to retain the chaos. When I iterate on this game I'm going to think of ways for players to have just a liiiittle more control. Anyway, thanks for the comment and thanks for playing!
Pretty hard game, didn't quite manage to pick up any groceries but it is a cool idea
