Nice idea! Character was a little floaty but the art music and gameplay mechanics all came together really well!

Nice work! Especially for being your first jam. You should be proud!
As a big fan of music games and especially ones that don't just do the Guitar Hero thing*, I love the idea of the level visualizing and reacting to the music. That's an impressive technical feat as well. It'd be great to see the idea developed further, to the point where you have to pay attention to the music and plan around your knowledge of it in order to progress.
*Not that there's anything wrong with that.
A couple technical notes. The game window is really tall! Haha. I couldn't fit it all on my screen, even in fullscreen Chrome, without zooming out. Also, I'm not sure how I did this, but somehow when landing a jump I managed to get the guy stuck in the left-facing animation even as I was moving right, resulting in a moonwalk. It was awesome. I spent some time afterward trying to recreate it but could not.
Congrats on finishing a jam project!
I like the interpretation of the theme :3 Cool idea to map the level layout to the music
Cool idea. When this is done you could work some more on the idea and see how much you can get out of it. For a jam game, I think you did well :)
Quite nice, though platforming is a bit broken, I once started walking backwards. Also there could be some distinction between solid world, and rhythm platforms - sometimes it wasnt clear if the platform I am standing on will dissappear. But overall, nice. Good looks and music.
Nice idea, but I'd recommend you improve on the controls. They don't feel very intuitive. Maybe just using a and d instead of the right arrow keys could've made a difference.
Love the music though! :D
Fun concept but the execution could use some work.
- In terms of platforming, the character could use some acceleration and better air-control to make them a bit more fun to run around with.
- I like the idea of rhythm based platforming, but the communication about how and when the elements of the stage respond to the beat could be clearer. For example, you could have the platforms blink twice before changing (kinda like those blocks in Mario 3D World). Colour coding or distinguishing in some way the parts of the stage based on when they change would also be ideal (e.g red blocks change every 3 beats, yellows every 2 etc. this could be changed every stage). This way the player doesn't have to sit there and figure out on what beats each part changes - as long as they're keeping track of the beat of the music and they know the colours they can respond immediately. The blocks could also have some sound effect when they change so that the beat they follow is a bit more intuitive.
- Though the game is promising, I'm not entirely sure how it fits the theme. But hey, I guess that doesn't really matter if you're gonna make this into its own thing.
But aside from that, the music fuckin' slaps. Hats off to you guys for making it under 2 days.
The concept is pretty good although it still feels very much like a generic platformer and the controls really could use some polishing. But regardless of that, it's neat! Please give my game a try too :)
I love the concept, I see a lot of potentially for a full game. Please continue work on this, I can't wait to play more :)
Nice job! I had just a few problems with it though. Wall jumping kind of feels weird and jumping on the moving platforms is really buggy and sometimes doesn't work. I am not sure why, but it also didn't let me play level 2. I tried replaying the game multiple times and refreshing the page but nothing seemed to help. Although there are a few problems, this game was fun to play, which in my opinion is the most important thing. Some games can feel way more polished than this, but if they're not fun, then I am not going to play them for long, so super good job with that. The music was also pretty good which helped it not get boring. Overall this is a decent submission to this game jam. Great work!
Okay for a jam game. There was a problem with jumping from platforms moving up and the wall climb didn't work well (after getting on a wall you can climb forever, even when there is no longer a wall there) Also a background would have helped with orientation in the moving platform section in level 2. I don't think it really fits the theme though, since the environment and traps are things that are usually not in the player's control anyway. It would have made more sense if things went out of sync, for instance.
I think there should have been more visual/auditory stimulus to know when the rhythm stuff was changing. Super Mario 3D world did this concept really well for reference. You graphics were clean and the wall jumping was rly well made
I like the idea, but it feels less like a rhythm and more like a guessing game.
It would be great if the elements indicated what rhythm they are following.
As it stands now, it's just a platformer with "randomness" thrown in.
If not for that, i would've gladly played more!
I love music games! Looks like Godot(?)
I got impatient at some parts, but I like the concept. Also there's a moonwalking bug - but it feels more like a feature :)
What else would you have liked to do given more time?
Love the idea and really good game but you should try adding checkpoints it would make the game and my life easier! Another tip is to make the menu buttons for the level, tutorial bigger. Other than that loved the idea of the rythym.
