How does your game fit the theme?
My game takes gives control to the player on building one fighter and then I take it away by makeing it a 50/50 chance whether or not they will play as their character or not. This design philosophy felt more fun because I allowed the player to build their character as powerful in any stat as they would like. Although skill will always put you ontop, if the player were to do this and get an unlucky roll, they would soon realize why they should make them decently matched. I coded this all from scratch in java and I made all the music myself in garageband. Thank you for your channel I really look up to your insightfulness and it would be an honor to have you play the game I'm most proud of ( this one :) )

Very cool ideas here! I went for maxing out damage health and attack recharge, and it worked really well. Too bad next round I got the stats swapped, so I had to fight a unbeatable monster! Lol! Is a nice concept, the player has to balance the fight himself (or maybe deal with the concequences). Had fun!

Man, that was the best game i've played so far. It was just so good !
The concept is pure genius, the game is fun, it looks good.

But
-i didn't really experience knockback, maybe it was just weak
- you didn't get the story to its full potential. I expected at least an end dialogue. And all the lines "Coach loyal [...]" , it was like, built in a way i expected a treason or something.
- i was lost with who is who in the story, but that's my fault i guess

(spoiler)
I REALLY liked the round 3 (if i remember correctly) when the opponent is super weak but the stats are always swapped (except for the first matchs, it was not random at this point, was it ?). I figured it out before the match and put 0 to each stat (i feel smart :p).

I glad you liked it I really grinded :)

I definitely could have worked on the balancing more but Im happy you got to the point of understanding that you knew which stats could be improved. Also my plan was to have Coach betray you at the end to create irony but lastminute I thought it would be heartwarming if he didn't but I see how I missed on some of that heartwarming-ness by not putting in that outro sequence lol.

And I made the decision to rig certain points just so the player would be able to understand the gimmik/gameplay premises and always experience key moments. I don't wanna reveal which ones are rigged but a majority of the levels are truly random.

Im happy for your feedback tho and Im happy you figured out the game :)))
