cute!  I liked that the levels got harder and harder and liked that you could change between more than one poggit!

Great game, but certain aspects needed tightening up, such as having a little more consistency over the jump arcs and the ability to land on each other's heads. More often than not, I found myself slipping off or having to course correct middair, which used one of my inputs.

If these aspects were tightened up (maybe a system of locking on to each poggit's head?) this could be a really enjoyable puzzle platformer.

Also, I assumed the intention was to force every Poggit to have a unique exit, but in it's current form, all poggits can go through one door. I assume thats a bug, but it would definitely need to be fixed.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The thing with the controls is a bug I didn't have time to fix. As for the door is it that any poggit can go into any door or that more than one can go into one door? if it is the latter than yes that is a bug as well, otherwise that is intentional

Submitted

It was that multiple Poggits could go into a single door. I figured it was a bug but mentioned it in case you had somehow missed it. I assumed you hadn't, but wanted to be sure.

Developer

Ok thanks for the clarification :)

Really great idea and execution!

Great presentation, good concept, good level design, polished. I thought it becames a bit confusing once extra Poggits were introduced (since the input count mechanic itself was already not that easy), but that's fair difficulty!

Neat concept and some great visuals. I did find it kinda hard to control the jump and I didn't know when theyd do this small jump or a big one,  other than that great little game

Cool idea, I liked it. Only thing is that sometimes the character keeps moving and jumping and sometimes only for as long as you hold the button which can be really anoying.

Hmm I guess I need a better tutorial then, the the main mechanic of the game is the fact that you can only press the keys a few times before the poggits lock up and just repeat the last thing that you told them to do. that is how it fits the theme "out of control"

you can see how many times you can press each key in the lower left corner of the screen

Nice game!! I really like the background art in particular. Unique concept that resonates with the theme really well, I did get stuck a bit on level 10 but definitly enjoyed it!!

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback

Appealing and well-polished style and presentation. Unfortunately, I could not overcome my twitchy platformer habits and usually unintentionally wasted all my button presses at any jump, haha. But I really like the concept. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! That is something I am hoping to improve once I have more time and can make a full version of the game

This game makes me go YES! Nice game! Great artstyle!

Developer

Thanks !

Really nice game! I liked the idea and the aesthetics of the game. I just think that if it was a little more "juicy" to play, it could be better, but I saw that you made the game in half of the time and its incredible! Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
Yeah I wasn't able to add as much as I would have liked due to having to work for part of the jam but am hopping to continue the project and add make it feel better to play

It is a very visually nice game, I couldn't get too far though and I think it may be due to the frame rate that the game is running at on my laptop. Does the game compensate for that with Time.deltaTime and fixedDeltaTime?

Developer(+1)

Yes I am doing that, thanks for the feedback. I will see if I can smooth out the controls and increase performance when I make the full version of the game

Submitted(+1)

Sounds good, can't wait to play the full game.

Submitted(+1)

Great idea and mechanics, just wish it felt smoother.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Wow this is a solid game!!! I really enjoy playing it, and even though it's a jam game, I'll be coming back to this one!!!

Here is my game if you wanna play it, sorry for linking it in the comment but itch is bugged and isn't displaying it in the comment: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/698697#post-1648262

Fun puzzles. All works really well.

Good idea! Very satisfying sound effects. I think music would have kept me a little more engaged. I really enjoyed the poof out animation!

Great idea, fun and easy to understand! Cheers

I love how easy it is to understand how this works! You immediately know what to do and what will happen when you do it, which isn't always the case!

I like the puzzle element to it as well and how he kinda just spazzes out when he doesn't have moves left. Really charming little game entry.
