This game is very addictive; I love how the dice bounces and the physics it simulates. I also thought it was great that, even when thrown from the same position, the dice doesn't always land in the same place; that's a really good feature. Great job!
Here's the thing: While playtesting in the Unity editor, dropping the dice in the same spot resulted in different outcomes. So far so good.
But when I tested WebGL and Windows builds, the results were deterministic!
I had to intentionally add a tiny random rotation to each throw, otherwise it became easy to exploit a guaranteed +3 spot.
Anyway, thank you so much for playing!
The falling physics and the bouncing off are just great.
Thanks! Unity physics are a bit temperamental sometimes, but I was lucky!
Everything was well done, nice and polished. Fun game with the bouncing
Thank you for playing!!!
Fun little game! Looks really good too.
Thank you so much for playing!
This is a great little game! It’s so addictive and polished! Visually, it also looks great in my opinion.
Thank you so much for playing!
my dice got stuck spinning on one of the pegs after about 4 rounds so I threw in the towel i'm afraid. cool idea though. I like the peggle style buildup to use the bump mechanic.
nice work
There was a very rudimentary system to prevent this at one point (add rotation if the dice speed was close to 0), but it made the dice feel weird and unnatural. I removed it to make a proper implementation later, and then the deadline happened.
I'll make a proper un-stuck mechanic for the post-jam update.
Thank you for the feedback!
A very cool game!! Finished it in 11 rounds, tried a second time and made the same 11 rounds. It’s a luck game but you actually have choices that make the luck much more enjoyable.
the music is very nice and the SFX fits well, and the graphics are cute! If the die wasn’t rotating with 4-colors AA
edit: third time I made it in 7 rounds!
this game could definitely be addicting so I’m stopping now XD
7 rounds is a very good result, you were quite lucky and skillful.
Thank you so much for playing, and for the kind words!
A very satisfying game to play. The sound effects definitely elevate the experience of each drop.
It feels like you have a lot more agency than I expected. The pins are surprisingly consistent about where they bounce you, and the bump usually means you get to a platform you want, but the dice face is still fairly random. Really enjoyed the interplay of the different luck systems at work.
Tried to find some secret combo's for a little bit, but came away empty handed. (I almost got 999, which I think would've been special as the highest possible 3 of a kind. And I tried to get all 0's but only ever managed to get one 0 at a time, haha.)
Regarding consistency, this has got to be one of the very few times Unity physics played nice with me. I had to redesign the pin layout a couple times to avoid getting the dice stuck, but besides that I guess I was pretty lucky with physics this time.
As for the secrets, you were pretty close to getting one of them. In a totally unrelated note, I like my dice shaken, not stirred. ;-)
Thank you so much for playing!
I love the way Mr.Casper looks and I love how his expression changes when you drop the dice. Another thing that was really good was the sfx in this game. Took me 8 rounds to beat. Fantastic entry.
8 rounds? Nice display of luck and skill!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
it took me 11 rounds, but I finally got a 3 of a kind, and then another one immediately after that! It is such an incredibly chaotic idea to have 3 levels of gambling all at once, but you know what, it works. I also love the 3d dice rolling animation
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words!
got a bit sucked into the game, finished in 16 rounds tho! I like this, it’s a very nice game, the art is clean, the gameplay is smooth, the music is nice. the ability to switch the color palette is actually very nice! in unity too? teach me how to do it lmao I love this though I wish I didn’t notice it after finishing. Nice entry!
If I had to give feedback, the balancing feels a bit focused on the bonus points. a consecutive can get you like 80 points which would take like 5 rounds to get with normal dice score.
It needs a balance pass indeed. The original idea was to have multiple stages with increasingly higher target scores, and when I had to cut that, I beefed up the slot bonuses (maybe a bit too much).
Thank you for the feedback!
This was a pleasant surprise for me and very fun! I love what you did with the theme here and how you let it influence gameplay throughout. I think this is one of the more impressive entries I've played so far. Great work!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
I had so much fun. The mechanics were so interesting and smooth! I got so hooked up I forgot half an hour passed by.
Thank you so much for trying it out!
After win in 15 rounds, I went down to the comments and read, "You can hold left or right while Bumping to control the direction of the dice." I realized I'm pretty silly. Incredible game.
The instructions could have been a bit better, I'll make sure to improve that in a post-jam update.
Thank you for playing!
I just realized I didn't mention this in my original comment, but the animation of the dice when it falls is just beautiful.
This is one of the best combinations of pure luck, resource management, and reflex testing I've seen so far; it's less about pure numbers and more about making snap decisions about using up your limited chances. Having tilt be gained by touching new pins is a great way to encourage mixing up release points. I also like that the bonus zones force the player to evaluate the sum mathematically before making a decision; it adds another layer of concentration to the mix.
The graphics are really nice; the buttery-smooth dice animation is mesmerizing, and the main character is quite cute! The backing song is pleasant and cheerful, and the sound effects do a great job telegraphing the action.
I managed to beat it in 10 rounds, but I was hooked. I knew I could do better if I concentrated and got a bit luckier, so I kept trying a few more times.
I got two lucky sevens in this run.
Fantastic! Great work!
Oh wow! Congratulations on achieving the current world record!
(And for finding one of the secret combinations)
The original vision for this game was more Balatro-like, allowing you to customize the dice faces in a shop. Managing chance is somewhat interesting, but the act of throwing the dice was reduced to menu actions.
So I made it physical and 2D, and the pachinko side came naturally. The bump was a last minute addition, cause I found it frustrating to have bad rolls without being able to do anything about it (besides choosing the drop position).
Thank you for trying it out! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Unique gameplay ! i thinked i was lucky until i just read comments below ^^"

If you ever try it again, using the Bump after landing a number you don't want is a valid strategy, but you have to act quick!
Thank you for playing!
this score was using the bump ^^ and its was my second run haha
The game is pretty fun. I somehow got a 3 of a kind from 6 6 5 (the 5 fell on a -1) but the rest was fun, the music was nice as well. I wish the rounds gave more points tho, good game!
I finished in 14 round with 556 points :)
I'll see if I can repro that -1 issue. It might also be a readability problem, the areas near the edges are -1, but the other ones close to the center are +1, and they're a bit hard to read unless you're playing on full screen. Maybe your Three of a Kind used a hard to read +1?
In any case, thank you so much for the feedback!
I really liked this. The music, the sound of the dice hitting the bumpers, everything screamed game boy to me. I also really enjoyed the color palette you chose, but I'm biased because purple is my fav color lol. This was a great little game of luck, and it was cool that we could bump to try and sway the outcome.
It's the first time I use a color palette that's more on the side of pastels, and I like it better for this game than the usual high contrast ones.
Thank you for playing!!!
Quite fun! I enjoyed finding out all the bonus combinations to score, and that you could save up your bumps over time. 11 rounds seems pretty good, but I'm sure people can do better!
That was a pretty good run!
Thank you so much for playing!!!
nice art! I like the shake mechanism, that helped me a few times
The game felt very different before the bump mechanic, which came as a last minute feature. Now I can't imagine the game without it.
Thanks for playing!
