I have updated the game.

Thank you very much, you’re right, the text is incorrect. I will fix it in the next version. Thanks for playing.

Great game and very well executed. Despite the constant pursuit, the game still felt fair and beginner friendly, which I really appreciated. I also really liked the way you implemented the map.

I really liked the atmosphere and the setting of the game. I could immerse myself in the scenes very well, and the overall mood worked great for me.

I also think the per-object help system was a really good idea. I personally would have appreciated an additional general help section with some of the most common verbs or interactions, especially early on.

What I found a bit unfortunate was that it seems possible to get into a softlock quite easily by missing an important item early in the game. That part was a little frustrating for me.

Aside from that, I think this is a really good game overall.

Quick question: am I stuck if I forgot to pick up the rope near the beginning and already reached the West Bank? I can’t seem to find a way forward anymore and I’m wondering if I missed something, or if I would need to restart.

I really liked how approachable and beginner friendly the game felt. The tutorial and descriptions were very clear, and I always understood what I was supposed to do. The museum restoration theme was also very charming and gave the game a nice atmosphere.

Personally, I think I was hoping for a bit more deduction or experimentation in the puzzle solving. Since most of the required objects and clues were already close by, I sometimes felt more like I was matching and organizing items than uncovering a mystery.

The later artifact identification sections were clear and easy to follow as well, though for my taste they felt a little too straightforward because I could often solve them through comparison and trying combinations.

That said, I can absolutely see the appeal of the relaxed and accessible design, especially for players who enjoy a more cozy and frustration free experience.

Thanks again for playing. In the last update, I fixed the bugs you found.

Oh, so there is a secret hidden in the desert. Now you have hooked me again. I will definitely give it another try today.

What I realized now is that the puzzles themselves are actually fun. What bothered me yesterday was more the input method. Rotating things would feel much smoother if the last command could be repeated with the up arrow key.

I also really enjoyed the Sherpa’s dialogue. You can tell that you put a lot of effort and care into the writing.

I will definitely try it again later tonight.

I needed a little time to really get into the game at first. Initially I thought I had to search for water because the game kept mentioning that I needed something to drink. In the end I just ignored that and followed the tutorial. After that I realized I had simply overlooked the entrance.

The first puzzles felt a bit too easy for me personally, and solving them was not always that much fun, mostly because it often came down to turning things over and over again. But I think that is very much a matter of taste, other players might enjoy that style a lot more than I did.

I also thought saving was not possible at first because typing just “save” did not work. Only later did I realize that I actually had to type “SAVE GAME”. That one was completely my mistake though :-).

I died in the mirror room and honestly did not really feel motivated to restart from the beginning. I think I will probably give it another try tomorrow though, I was likely just a bit frustrated that I died at the very first real danger :-).

What I really liked was the writing. The descriptions are done very well, I could imagine the environments clearly and really immerse myself in the atmosphere, and for a game like this I think that is one of the most important things :-).

Thank you very much for testing. The bug is strange, but I noticed that this sometimes happens with the engine. Did you try using the angle with the cord?

Thank for testing.  I wanted to avoid using directions like north, south, east, and west, and instead use very few verbs. That means only the verbs you see on the left or those listed in the help are available.

The tutorial covers the first two areas. So for the beginning it would be: use compass, and then to follow the path use path. Looking back, I think that wasn’t a very good idea 🙂

The game was a lot of fun for me, I just wish it had been longer. I never got stuck at any point, thanks to the excellent explanations. I was also able to vividly imagine what was described. What I especially liked was how it felt like an old point-and-click adventure. Great game!

I’ve uploaded the zip file twice now, there’s a download available.

Uhmm… good question. I thought you could download it. I can also see that it has already been downloaded twice. I wouldn’t know what I could change either.

Congratulations on the well-deserved win!

Your game is fun from the very first second and looks absolutely beautiful. Great work!

Thank you so much! 🎄

I’m really glad you enjoyed the gameplay and the pixel art.

The jam was a lot of fun, thanks for hosting and for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! 🎄

Level 3 is the first time the min/max limits really matter, you have to place at least 10 trees there.

It’s meant as a bit of a difficulty spike 😄

Glad you liked the pixel art!

Thank you for the detailed feedback! 🎄
I’m glad you stuck with the UI and ended up enjoying the game.
Happy to hear the upgrades helped you push through when things got tricky! Merry Christmas!

Thanks a lot! Really happy you enjoyed the art and the gameplay, and Merry Christmas!

Haha, yeah, he definitely shouldn’t stay a snowman in the next level 😉
Looks like a bit too much Christmas magic leaked into the fail screen.
Thanks for playing and for the great feedback about the sound design! Merry Christmas!

Thank you for playing, and Merry Christmas to you as well!

Thank you for playing. In the third level you have to place at least 10 trees, the indicator for that is in the bottom left. Merry Christmas!

Thank you for playing, and Merry Christmas!

Unfortunately I can’t test your game — somehow the mouse doesn’t work in Wine on Linux.

I like the visual atmosphere, but the controls are extremely difficult.

Lovely little game, I wish I could decorate our real tree with the mouse :-D

I like the graphic style, but unfortunately the controls are very jittery.

Not a game, but the assets look great.

I like the pixel art, very nice!

I love the pixel art — a very well-made little game.

The graphics are really great and I love the intro. I think 12 seconds is very tight for this game — or I just have a really bad memory :-D.

The idea with the wobbly presents is great, even if it sometimes looks a bit strange :-D.

I really like the core idea. I think it would be great if the attacks only lasted for a short time so you could adjust your defense again in a new 12-second phase. As it is now, you have to wait a really long time. Nice game!

A nice short game, I love the ‘haaaa’ sound :-D.

A super funny idea that’s fun to play, but not so easy ;-D

The game looks beautiful and is fun to play. I like that complications are built in, as they make the game even more interesting.

An interesting game idea with a very relaxed atmosphere.

A nice mobile game to pass the time!

A really lovely game that’s fun to play. I like how the bells move :-)

The graphics and the music are great, but the game is impossibly hard for me :-D.
