How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
The game makes heavy use of luck and the gacha game concept of the pity system, where after enough bad luck, the player gets something good

That's a lot of palettes. I counted 23 and they're all good. Graphics are really cute and gameplay flow is clear after a little while (the intro doesn't tell everything you'd want to know). Really liking the seal mechanic, it makes making a very overpowered deck maybe a bit too easy though.

Growing your hand to beyond the screen is a bit of an issue and of course the lack of music/sound really hurts.

Seals were a last minute addition, so they’re definitely a little overtuned haha. I can’t say I expected anyone to expand their hand size more than once, but it’s definitely something I should account for in an update. I know seals are completely absent from the game’s tutorial, but other than that, what topics do you think could be included there to help make the intended play experience more clear?

The entire concept of threshold and how to read the numbers on the cards is somewhat vague. I mostly ignored it and accepted cards just sometimes didn't trigger and that I'd have to make peace with that. Same with high roller, I guess sometimes my cards just do some extra damage, not entirely sure how much or why.

Hand size increase feels kind of necessary if you're going for shadow seals. I'm sure you know better than me what happens when you apply two to a card, I haven't tried it.

Very nice little deck builder. I think the sigil system was nice, and the "pity" system helped to keep things balanced and not too luck dependent, while still keeping to the theme. Only issues I ran into were lack of sounds, and being able to open up your deck during the intro, which results in a game over.

That was fun! The designs are exceptionally charming, the mechanics are quite enjoyable to put together, and the concept is refreshing. Great work!

Really fun game! Some of the sprite work gave me a sort of GBA Fire Emblem vibe, which I don't say lightly! Gacha+deck building mechanics really fit with the theme, and is something I don't see much in this type of low-res retro projects. Not sure if you intend on working on this further after the jam, but some bgm + sfx would really make this project shine, IMO. Very nice job!

Gorgeous game, with very interesting mechanics, and feels very nice to play and understand! I think there is a lot of depth and I'm pretty sure you could have some great combos xD The gacha element in the game felt integral, and honestly it was so fun to build my own deck by doing what felt cooler xD Really reminded me of Inscryption in a way! :D

Thank you a lot for the game!

I'm glad you recommended your game to me on Discord, because it was actually REALLY cool. It took me a second to get into the combat, but once I knew what was going on it was a smooth experience for me and surprisingly fun! You really just need sounds to round out this entry. Great job!

First of all, it's awesome that Clickteam Fusion is still a thing.
This was a very well made deckbuilder, easy to understand. I'd love to play this with sound some day.

Awesome game, congrats!

Very nice game, very polished, it just needed some kind of soundtrack to get me fully invested in it, but other than that, very well done
