Hi, thanks for your time!
It might be possible that you have the same issues other had xD
The fishing minigame is reflex based, you have to wait on the fishing screen for a signal to catch something! Players tend to press A right away, which leads to catching nothing :((
If not, well it's worrying cause that would be a huge bug xDD
I'm gonna replay this in endless mode for a while, it's addicting!
I think you only lack a good story to have, like, a hit? xD Gameplay / Graphics / Music, everything is on point!! Add a good story on top of that, and you genuinely would have a hell of an adventure game xD
But yeah, this is a kind of jam games that you could see get expended upon so easily!
I hope you had as much fun making it than everyone had playing it!
Genuinely thank you for the western vibe, it's appreciated, partner! Yee-haw to you :D
Wtfff?! This looks, sounds, and plays like a full on experimental game... Not a jam game xD It's like, fully complete, with a concept that's so amazingly executed xD I've yet to finishit, but I definitely will.
It's just... Wow. I don't have the words xD
Amazing work... I hope you had fun making it! Thank you so much!!
Actually very funny xD I played it for the 'I will break your bones' and I'm not disappointed! Training in order to fight bad luck is a fun idea! Maybe there could have been more luck elements in the game if you wanted to fit the theme more? But who cares, it's a game jam, as long as you enjoyed yourself it's a win :D
Good luck if you're really on a 100 day streak of making games xD And thank you for making this one!
Awesome!!
The ambience settles very nicely, and the first levels are really good introductory levels, that get elaborated upon later, and it feels great when we understand each room's solution! The main mechanic makes for a good player choice!
Unfortunately I got softlocked on one of the ruin level! The one where we're supposed to put down a barrel so it gets pushed by an arrow? I put down the idol instead, and the arrow pushed it too far for me to take it back... Dumb move yeah xD
But otherwise, it was really fun, thank you!!
Amazingly fun concept! Replaying a level is rarely the same thanks to that xD I might have relied on the double jump a bit too much, so I was able to bypass the 'being forced to change strategy every checkpoint' since I almost always still had it. Maybe instead of being random it could depend on how much you used it? Or the more your use it, the more likely it'll be that it's this skill that's going to get lost?
Also sometime the level wasn't very clear, mostly because we had to go left but the platforms weren't easily visible from the screen.
But apart from that, awesome concept, with a solid execution! Thanks a lot :D
You made an investigation game for a jam... And you made a good one! That's an incredible feat, congrats xDi
The graphics are gorgeous, the ambience is nailed, andthe characters are charming!
I think one thing that made it hard to understand the game, is that I kinda lost track of who wanted what, and what I had on me :/ Especially since it wasn't clear if I carried everything with me through time, and if that was reset if I went back in time, etc! And this confusion added to the slow movement of the cursor made it a bit frustrating at time xD
But apart from that lil unclear thing, it was great! Thank you so much!
I really liked it! The simple choices we have to make as we progress through the floor makes for a very clear experience, that I really enjoyed :D
Maybe sometimes when I know I'm going to lose, there could be a way to gamble? Something to let us cling to a small sliver of hope in exchange of something? It would help add some tension to fights, that right now are very calculated (which is good, it's strategic! But maybe when we're despaired we could choose to lose this strategic aspect!)
Also the progression system was really nice! :D Sometimes it just feels good to lvl up and feel stronger xD And having a passive curse over each floor makes for a fun twist! :D
Overall really good, thank you!!
A gorgeous game! The music stuck with me right away, and the graphics and color palette are beautiful :D
I had a hard time at first because enemies kept killing me the second I stepped in the rooms, and the items didn't feel useful for the most part (except the 13 one, having triple arrows saved my game)
I think the gameplay might need a bit of polish, but the ambiance and concept are really good! The game carries and transmits a bittersweet emotion very well
Thank you for making your game :D
Beautiful game! I like the concept of going home to Dracula but everything on the way tries to hurt you!
I got to the castle, and stopped after dying xD I think the game can be fun but you have to be patient. The random item generation is actually pretty smart, every run becomes different so it's not too repetitive!
My first 5 minutes of gameplay were very confusing I'll admit, between not understanding the controls, and not knowing why I was hurt or if I could harm enemies :/ But the moment I looted the baseball which gave me instant feedback it was a blast!
I'm definitely curious to explore the rest of the world >:) Very impressed that you managed to make an adventure game that FEELS like an adventure game during a game jam xD
Thanks a lot!!
It's absolutely cute! The palette and music reallly sell the ambience, kinda like being in a dreamy cottage, where you aren't sure everything you're doing is real. The fact I didn't understand the controls much and spent my entire time feeding poop to poor shelter animals really sold me on the theory that this was a dream-like state and like in dreams sometimes you just can't control what you're doing xD
But yeah no, the ambiance is there, and there is a clear intention about the vibe, and that's great :D
Thank you, I hope you had fun making the game!
Yeah... The fishing minigame is by far the weakest part, which is... Not ideal, given it's what we do the most xD
We had ideas to make it better, but oh well, the end result makes fo, let's say, a 'relaxing experience where we have to sit down and realize time passes by and we can't do anything about it'
But still, thanks for your feedback, glad you enjoyed the game :D
I am devastated... I got hit by an enemy and sent behind the collision walls. I couldn't continue ;-;
BUT
That didn't prevent me from having a blast. Genuinely the game that made me feel the most nostalgic of all the entries I've played so far... It got me right back to childhood, and ohdid it feel good.
Gorgeous palette, adventurous music that made me smile confidently the first 3 notes, a very interesting spin on the topdown zelda formula with the rabbit's rolls it ties everything perfectly, the ideas are perfect. I'll definitely finish it later, it made me feel that good xD
Also, my first full 5 stars review! I don't think the game is perfect from what I've seen, and a lot of polish might be needed, but the feeling was just SO RIGHT, I can't convince myself to put a single star lower than 5 xD
Thank you. Genuinely hope you had a blast doing it!
Gorgeous game, with very interesting mechanics, and feels very nice to play and understand! I think there is a lot of depth and I'm pretty sure you could have some great combos xD The gacha element in the game felt integral, and honestly it was so fun to build my own deck by doing what felt cooler xD Really reminded me of Inscryption in a way! :D
Thank you a lot for the game!
Great atmosphere. Too good, I genuinely was scared, I didn't look at the screen directly while going back to the mirror because I was too afraid xDDI don't know if that was the intention, but for me (who is a coward), having to fight fear in order to explore and dare interact with objects to gain items that can be used in later battles, it was a very strong experience! I'd be very curious what a longer game would end up as! (and with some bugfixes :D)
Still thank you for making the game, it was great! :D
I laughed so loud on the intro, it is beautiful.
I wish I could get the end of the story, but I severely lack the skill... I think I'm definitely going to come back to the game and try hard it xD
The graphics are really cute, and the color palette really caught my eye right at the beginning! Honestly it feels like a solid game! Maybe some feedbacks to indicate the timing of bombs would help?
But still, huge thank you to you, the last line of the intro made my day a happier one!
Amazing xD
The game feels like it has so much potential!! It's already excellent, but, like, it really feels like you could do so many things to make a game that scratches that itch to see numbers go up in a satisfying way!
I got 2187, and I bet it's not even that good xD It feels like you can do so much optimization... I loved it!
Thank you for the time :')
Great graphics! The mood is very well done with the music and pixel art!
The combat system felt a bit unnecessary in my opinion, not much strategy was needed, and having so many enemies with no (I think) rewards isn't very entertaining :( Some simple exploration would have been plenty enough for me :D
But apart from that, it was a nice and cute game! Thank you for making it!! :D
YAY! Good job!
Yeah, the passage of time can be really long if you just want time to pass :/ I agree that a way to skip time would be interesting :D
And no, this wasn't a sequel! We just thought it would be interesting for a short story format to be the calm epilogue of a bigger story :D But it's true that it should be clearer!
Thanks!
