Fire start!

Very cute and I really love tower defense games. the visuals are nice. my only comment is lack of content though that’s to be expected. for a first submission ever? very nice!

Thanks! Loved your artstyle fr I wonder what it’s called. did the same for you!

ngl L rating system but ig it’s fairer

Lovely!

I love thisss. the art is very cute I really love how charming it is. submitting a tower defense for a jam is literally one of my dreams very impressive work. Goodjob!

Lovely submission, I hope I get it in my queue soon (: The chill music is nice and the artstyle is veeeerrryy nice it’s reminding me of a very old game that I don’t remember the name of (if you happen to have a guess please tell me haha)

My only comment is that it’s a tiiny bit too heavy for web though I can see why you would want a web build since it’s a jam and all. The windows version did not work for me (the starting buttons just don’t get clicked) though I was running it through WINE so it might be okay on normal devices.

I agree! it was the original vision actually. but honestly it was way too awkward to control (especially since it’s awkward even without this being the case lol) though thanks to you I think I’m gonna try to revisit the idea to see if it can work afterall. Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback! Hopefully those will be fixed by next patch thanks to y’all!

Thanks for your feedback!

following the waves is def an issue. though thanks to feedback we already have some more cues both visual and auditory that will be in the next build (:

I def underdid the acceleration and deacceleration haha thanks for telling us about this!

Especially now that you mention it, I completely agree! it was annoying in testing too but was def too late to change the premise of the game haha. Thanks for your feedback will def make sure to balance it more for the post jam!

Thanks for your comment! will indeed try to make the tutorial more extensive

Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback! The controller being the most common issue is fair so def added to our list (:

Hellooo

I love difficult games and I am sure others do so this is a post for you to throw your game in if you think it’s either really difficult to complete or has a leaderboard for something like a speedrunning time or just highscore

I’ll rate games posted here and reply with how hard I think it was, any easy game will be removed from the comments

Hellooo

each jam, I like to play a 100 games to see how much more creative I could have been so really excited to see the interpretations of this one (:

for me to rate your game either paste your link here or just write something in my game’s comments

edit: due to how the rating system works here I can’t rate immedietly but I’ll def look out for when one of y’alls games are in my queue

Hello,

Due to building problems the version that was submitted at the start was unplayable, fixed now. the speedrunning leaderboard was also reset for that. have fun!

Hello! so the horseshoe actually functions like the jump orb in geometry dash, u can jump while touching it. we tried to clear that up in the post jam version which will be out soon (:

Thanks for the detailed feedback! will look into it. also dam good point about the screenshot

Hey! thanks for playing this deeply haha.

Yes I gotta admit the rage is definitely a bit much, though people who finish it like you make me happy it turned out so raging :D

The half screen is just so that no one else copies the screenshot and sends it, never thought of it but the nice fella before you did it and told me.

the bugs are very interesting.. I never intentionally implemented a spawning/respawning system the whole level should be loaded from the start, though it might be an automatic engine thing.. I would love if you specify which lady bug kept respawning so that we have a clue for it, and I know it’s probably not what you’re referring to but in the long vertical area there is 2 lady bugs. Thanks in advance and will def add this to our todo list!|

Count on us for the hall of fame!

Thanks! and I agree about the difficulty, We might change something in the post jam version (:

Thanks for playing

I like this, the art is surprisingly high contrast, the sounds are cool though the music is very low. the idea is interesting though it is hard to tell what I have to do at the beginning. goodjob!

Thank you (:

Thanks for playing! yes for the ladders you have to walk not dash, it was a weird artistic choice from my part but I think dashing through ladders just defeats their purpose and when we realized that we didn’t have time to think of a good way to balance it. the mirror thing I’m actually not sure! will check that out. thanks for playing (:

it REALLY misses sounds and music, the concept is good and the execution is pretty smooth. good entry (:

Lovely! the art and colors are very unique the music is charming and you’re a fellow hard platformer person lol I liked this. the controls are a tiiny bit janky but it did somehow add to the experience. this entry was enjoyable!

I like this (: the art is pretty the sounds are smooth and the story is interesting. it’s a pretty polished and flawless execution though I did run into one bug image.png where in the under train section you can go back outside of the screen but the screen doesn’t switch. Goodjob!

cool beans!

I adore this, right of the bat the settings menu is so gooddd I love this so muchh The color switching is very nice, I wish I could ask you how you did it but we use different engines haha, the music is very nice. the gameplay is a bit unifinished but that’s to be expected from a jam game with all that care for details. what I mean is it’s a bit way too fast (I went through 4 nights in 3 minutes) which is interesting cause most games this jam are too slow, suggestions for this would be decreasing player speed (I mean duh lol sorry) and reducing the damage enemies make. I think the seed is the same for everyone since I saw another person saying they got all the items the fourth night? might be wrong but randomizing the seed is def a good quality. overall goodjob!!

I love this! the art is charming especially for a pallet with this many midtones, the music is nice, the tricks do be variety too. the idea is also nice and executed perfectly. hats off!

now I don’t have significant feedback but there are a few glitches: 1- the music slider thingy doesn’t make sound like the sfx one 2- if you start the game again after losing too quickly there will be 2 cars and it’ll be an immediate loss as shown by the screenshot image.png

Thanks for playing!

oh just saw this, hope you have fun https://sir-lime.itch.io/risk-it-for-the-cookie

The music is a 5 minutes thing? I actually like it ngl. the game is good, yes not a lot of content but I can tell there was care for the details, the movement is smooth the colleagues are unique and the fact that we can’t finish the game being unlucky is funny so goodjob and I am glad you submitted!

got a bit sucked into the game, finished in 16 rounds tho! I like this, it’s a very nice game, the art is clean, the gameplay is smooth, the music is nice. the ability to switch the color palette is actually very nice! in unity too? teach me how to do it lmao I love this though I wish I didn’t notice it after finishing. Nice entry!

If I had to give feedback, the balancing feels a bit focused on the bonus points. a consecutive can get you like 80 points which would take like 5 rounds to get with normal dice score.

Lovely gameplay, I like the gameplay the most it’s fun to taste the full powers before starting, but also found it a tad bit confusing the first few minutes. the soundtrack is very nice and so is the art. impressive submission would love to play a post jam version. THOUGH I did get soft locked lol I was stuck at the bottom part

Thanks for playing and your feedback!

NOW I get why your standards are so high! this game is amazing, the color pallet is such a genius one, the music is very yummy, the game is just good. I am nitpicking to find feedback but: 1- There were some performance issues when shooting and getting shot by enemies (those crows especially) , I assume it’s because it’s a web build but if so a windows build option would be a nice idea. 2- the leaderboard doesn’t work cuz I just can’t submit a name though I luckliy I was able to get out of the screen by using my mouse (gameboys don;t have mouses tho lol) 3- in the beginning it was a bit unclear what I had to do, when do I move to other rooms and do i have to kill everything etc, a small tutorial of some sort would be good.

Overall amazing entry! added to my collection

I can not stress enough how much I like the music, and as someone who has been seeing the game’s thumbnail on the discord I was very excited to try it out and it didn’t disappoint, the color palette is genius and the mechanics are very interesting and kind of balanced, there are some hicks though: first the sfx is wayy too sharp and attacking, I suggest making volume control with a slider specific for the sfx to mellow it down; also the start is very reading-full and boring, it’s not a bad thing necessarily but for a game this small not a lot would bother with reading everything if there is so much; lastly, the tutorial treats the player as if they did well even if they didn’t, this could possibly lead to them starting the game without understanding the mechanics. Overall very solid entry and again, did not disappoint my excitement!
