It's a great job and example of optimized UE project. Really nice puzzle game. Thank you for sharing.

Developer

I optimised all the code and meshes, not so sure about the lighting haha. Unreal Engine has its own ideas about how lights work, but pretty clean for a first game.

Thank you for taking the time to play it!

This is awesome for the first game.

Developer

yay ~

What a cool puzzle game! I love the details on the character like the turn indicator lights. Great work and nice job making all the assets!

Developer(+1)

I love it when people notice the little details. I do it all the time when I play games, the small things that add flair are just the cherry on top every time. Glad you like it :)

I really like Blender and have committed more and more time to it lately. I have done only 3 sculpts but I am getting better!

One of the most impressive games so far.  Love this idea, simple but so addictive and fun.  The feel of the graphics is very Portal 2, especially with cubes and paint.
I think this could be a game that, with further development, could be released, it is that good a concept imo.

Developer(+1)

Portal 2 is exactly the feeling I was going for! A little bit of puzzle, a little bit of moody NPCs. Some escape from the printer planned in the future too! Nice on picking that up, I definitely want to expand more on it after the jam. Really happy you see it as a releasable item.

I already played your game! I think I wasn't allowed to vote before, going back to it now, ops!

Submitted(+1)

It's a very fun game, easy to play. The music is a bit soft, but overall it's great.

Developer

Nice, I didn't want to blast people's ears but you can find the music and master volume in the settings in main menu or pause menu (Esc). I think it starts off at 25% so it is definitely on the quiet side.

At least your ears are safe with me!

Submitted(+1)

Very fun game! It's really impressive that you managed to create all the assets and make the game. It looks really good!

The cube feels very fiddly to move though (maybe make it heavier?) otherwise, very fun!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! Yes, the cube needs to be reworked as it is very bouncy to navigate. When the Jam is done, I will make it heavier and less slidy for the difficult levels. if you made it to level 7 that is more than I expected people to do to anyway, haha.

Edits and improvements will come after the jam when we're allowed to change the games!

Submitted

Great game! Make some levels more harder maybe!

Submitted(+1)

The art is adorable and the controls are snappy and fun. I really liked it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, hope you got to enjoy the easier start levels because #7 is giving everyone a headache.

Great Game and Fantastic Visuals.

Developer

Gotta make it cute to lure people in to download it haha. Thanks!

Submitted(+1)

the robot is super cute! very good work for such a short time!

Developer

Pixel is adorable! I did not have time to put in animations but physics wiggles do carry it pretty well. Thanks for giving it a go!

Submitted(+1)

Very cool concept! Congrats for the entry! Really beautiful graphics!!!

Developer

Exciting to do it for the first time, I am really glad to go my first game in a jam too! The 10 day crunch has great results, I think I will games like this in the future.

Submitted(+1)

Such a good game well done I really enjoyed this. Love the concept.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, looking to expand and polish it with all the feedback I got from the comments. Super fun to playtest as well haha

Submitted(+1)

Such a clever concept! The paint-roller puzzles were my favorite. Amazing work for your first jam, and I can’t wait to see what you make next!

Developer

Thanks for playing it! I will make more levels with more fun and fair mechanics for it. Next I probably need to fix this game before going to another project.

Submitted(+1)

Great submission. Though it did make my GPU quite busy, so may benefit from some optimizations

Developer

No way, my GPU is 8 years old and I had no problem with duck spawning or lagg at all. I will optimise it further though. It is my first game, so it has room for that. I did not use On Tick event but will improve the rest.

FYI, mine's an RTX4060. I wasn't saying it was laggy, just that my fans were on full blast.

Amazing!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Great game and polished graphics , really loved it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, UE5 makes graphics a bit easier but I do love making things in Blender. Putting in my hours to make it better and cuter even now.

Will have more levels and gameplay ready this year!

Submitted(+1)

Loved this game, the graphics were amazing and I loved the art of the character. Everything felt really satisfying too

Developer

I am really leaning into the cute and cozy vibe of it now. Thanks for liking Pixel, was really cool to develop the little box robot!

I am very eager to add more and make the NPCs more alive!

Submitted(+1)

This is so cool. Really enjoyed it. Got to level 7 and gave up, moving the cube finally drove me insane hahaha. Great submission. Well done.

Developer

Yeah, level 7 is a nightmare to fill out. I will make the final game much easier and more relaxed - like the first 4 levels probably. Glad you liked it, thank you for taking the time on it!

Submitted(+1)

A absolutely adore it. It is well made, looks polished and cute, the robot feels nice to control. I have nothing but positive things to say about it! The floppy little arms and turn signals are also such cute details!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked the cute vibes! I do love the floppy arms, after I made them I added them to all the NPCs but they ended up looking too silly haha so I took them off.

Hey, Really cool little game.

You did a fab job integrating the Tiny Worlds theme. The art and level design are really cute and fun to explore. The gameplay is approachable, movement is fun, and the way you leveraged dynamic materials and VFX is commendable.

For me, the standout features are the ink trails and zippy player movement.

Had a blast playing, look forward to seeing more from you.

Developer

Thanks for playing, us Unreal Engine devs need to stick together!

Nice on recognising the dynamic material logic. It was fun to implement, tip if you ever use it as a logic component -> Get Base Material helps find the actual material reference.

This game looks sooo good, theme is greatly used and I love the music - sadly my experience was really laggy tho and the motion blur was a bit too much. When I wanted to close the game it crashed, wich I think is hilarious lol, but other than that really, really good. Its sooo impressive you managed to do all of that - congrats! :D

Developer

What? That is so weird. The game does not have motion blur or any effects apart from brightness. I also have two exit buttons built in with auto save feature on each level. Could you share your specs, maybe I can fix something?

Otherwise, thank you for playing it!
