Cute game. I do see how Lemmings is the inspiration behind this. A couple observations/suggestions.

  1. Cursor seems off if not in full screen mode
  2. I wish it was easier to tell which sheep has a parachute. I had to click on them multiple times to make sure.
  3. You can rotate the log, but there’s no need to do so in any level.
  4. Please animate the dog!

Very nice entry!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback. The cursor is slightly off when its not in full screen mode and its one of the reasons I recommend it be played full screen. It's currently pointing slightly above where the point is and its actually been challenging to get it to work reliably when it's windowed. So my actual plan for this is to create a prefab like you see for the fan and the log etc. and create a much larger area to apply the parachutes to the sheep, so it will be more reliable (it was actually a toss-up between implementing this or doing the guide on each level and end of level screen and I chose the latter for polish). Part of that will also be an identifier for indicating that the sheep have a parachute, but I haven't decided how I'm going to do that yet. And as for the dog, yes, Barkley is going to get some animations - a wagging tail, a pant, and an occasional bark but it was just too much to consider for the jam. He will also have a more detailed script that controls when he does what based on the sheep etc. I have a lot of work planned for this game....and I mean a lot. I want to have exploding/tnt sheep, I'm considering a portal mechanic etc etc Thanks for playing again - I will check out your game.

I loved the way how you introduce new features step by step in different levels. This is a nice way to guide player along the way. Also, the visual aesthetic and simple music is on point. Great job bro. I also made a small puzzle game. Would you like to give it a try.

i loved this game! the tiny sheep were so cute! loved the mechanics too, not too simple but not too difficult. a perfect number of levels for a game jam like this. my favorite was the graphic for when there was a parachute on the sheep lol. congrats on the game!

Developer

thanks for playing! lol - thanks for noticing the parachute graphic - if you look carefully maybe you'll notice them blinking their eyes as they gently float to the ground like cargo. Glad you had fun with it.

One of the most fun that I've played so far. Incredibly well polished for a game jam submission.

Love the UI!

REALLY enjoyed this one! Super relaxing, puts a smile on your face with just the aesthetic alone, has fun puzzles, and I absolutely loved it when I accidentally found out the sheep bleat when you click them!!

Definitely want more levels...and many more sheep for this great game!!

Good art, fun puzzles, extra points for making sheeps bleeeeh when you tap them!

Developer(+1)

lol thanks - I actually wondered if anyone would figure out that they make a noise when you tap them :)

The blend of puzzle and platforming elements is spot-on, and the escalating challenge kept me hooked. The pixel art and music create a charming atmosphere, and I couldn't help but laugh at the sheep's reactions. It's clear a lot of love went into this game, fantastic work!

Developer(+1)

glad you enjoyed it :) Thank you!

This game is fun when it has difficulty increase as I progress to the later levels. I like how this game is a combination of a puzzle game and a platformer game, just without moving the sheeps dynamically.

Oh this was a lot of fun! Is it bad that on each level I let the sheep die once just to see what would happen lol?! Very cute, the aesthetics and audio worked really well together.

Developer(+2)

I was in two minds about how gruesome to make the deaths lol. There was a bit too much for me to do to  consider implementing blood splatter onto the tiles but let's just say that I'd ultimately like to make failure fun! Thank you for playing :)

Submitted(+1)

haha yeah it's just one of those games where you want to be the good guy leading them to safety but it also just brings out the evil in you wanting to see what happens when you fail! Honestly, that's a good thing to have that pull!

I love the art style you used. It all really blends into one cohesive environment. Relaxing and fun.

Developer(+1)

thank you, and thanks for playing :) As a non-artist I'm pretty happy with how the game looks. It was difficult for me to do the pixel art, and looking at it now, I see how I can improve it a bit more - but I'm really glad that you enjoyed it!

I love the look and feel of this. I like the way you made the levels build on the last to teach you how to play the game. It was a lot of fun. Fantastic job.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing Emma. It makes me happy to know that this was a fun experience for you!!

got to say this is one super fun friendly game. keep going with this, add more mechanics and levels and submit to steam for the moniez. :D

Developer (1 edit)

lol thanks for the kind comments. I would like to keep building this game and put it on Steam perhaps at some point in the not-too-distant future. I have several ideas for more mechanics, including a sheep with a gun, and more hehe. I also have a couple of different 'areas' in mind that would require some additional tilesets. Honestly for a 10 day jam there was no time for that - Im not an artists and I did every bit of art in this game myself in photoshop - it took ages with my limited skills, but if the feedback is good and it ranks well, that will be my green light to go for it on this one :) Thanks for playing!
