As said, I'm thinking of making a retro inspired horror game with dithered graphics, do you guys have any gameplay ideas (I've never made a horror game so I sure don't)?

Thanks in advance!

My suggestions:

Make the game a little easier.

Make you walk a little faster, feels very slow, it's not like one takes a stroll to the restroom if thay really need to.

Make it be more clear what you will poo in.

Add like an arrow pointing in the direction you need to go.

Make you not be able to poo in something when there is a wall between that and the player, I thought I could poo in a lamp but ended up on the other side of the wall and lost.

Add a way to restart and pause the game when you die.

Otherwise it's a very solid game idea and concept.

It's super good!!! I love the art so much! I wish there were more levels and maybe some hazards and a use for the spear, very solid foundation for a game!

Great game!!! Amazing that you could make something like this in a week, I wish there was more level, now it's only up to the top of the thing and then it's over :(

Good work!

Oh, okay, thats what you meant, I understand now

Weird, but cool, I like the movement, it feels very fluid.

And also, I'd love to play yours but I don't have a windows, I'd love to play if you added mac or browser though!

Thanks, what part of the game was feeling weird (also, did you play in browser, that may be the problem, it feels kinda weird to move around in the web version)?

Thank you for the nice words! Yeah, I feel the same way.

Thanks, yeah, now it's more of a tech demo then a game.

Oh, okay, thanks! I'll try that tomorrow.

Cool game, I like the movement and the concept, impressive for 24 hours!

I'm not sure how to open the game, I can't click anything on the language screen.

Cool game!

Sure, I'll go try it, thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks!

Great, tell me when it's up!

Thanks, I unfortunately can't play your game as it doesn't have a mac version :(, I'd love to try if you add that post jam.

Yeah, XD.

Thanks, yeah, I see it, It's due to the tiles being so close to each other in the sprite sheet that float precision makes them glitch together, it would be less noticeable if I added separation to the tiles or added more detail, but now it's black and white so it's super noticeable. And yeah, it could probably turn into a great game if I added more features, right now though I'll be focusing on learning 3D modeling in blender and other stuff but I may get back to this game.

Thanks!

Thats fine, happens to me all the time.

Thanks!

I've made this game for the jam, check it out: https://plug-dev.itch.io/grapple-menace, I'd love some feedback!

Post your game below and I'll try it!

Great game!

It's here guys!!!

Agree! Its a fun challange, I'm working on an infinite platformer/cave explorer game, with like a lot of stuff if I have time but i think it'll be like you run arround a procedural world and you're killing enemies with a granade louncher that you also use to blow things up in the level, what about you?

💀 Okay

Oh, well, will u still do it?

Great game, I like it (got a best time of 2.97s), I think you should add more variety by adding walls, hazards, and enemies, spawning more of each depending on how long you've played (all of that would also be pcg (procedurally generated) of course).

Yay, going pretty smoothly on my end, what bout you guys?

Finally starting!!!!

I agree! Check the other posts to see.

I just can't believe the dedication of the people joined in this jam, waiting four years for 24 hours. And I'm here joining the jam over the weekend as if it were a normal thing.

Well have thay?

Good rickroll at the bottom XD

Thanks so much!!! I'm happy you enjoyed it! Sorry for the late reply btw, guess itch notifs just don't work that well :)

Thanks!
