This game is a hit for me. Love the sense of humor and elegant mechanics with such strict limitations! Realizing that the "intro" was relevant was an amazing moment and I made it to level 20 before it started feeling like too much of a memory game for my taste. Love the variety and callbacks with added progression!
thanks. that's a helpful insight!
Had a lot of fun this, sound design was 10/10, found the game pretty intuitive and also enjoyable. Idea was very unique and refreshing
Very unique game. I brute forced the first few levels and then got stuck on what I assume is a rhythm level in 6. I may try again later today. Very good entry.
Awesome. I know this kind of games, so I got it quickly. And I love calculators of the old times. So: 100 Points! :)
I don’t get it. How do I play this game ?
What’s the goal?
my mother asked the same thing ;-)
I was hoping players would feel motivated to find the answers to these questions on their own by experimenting, formulating theories and testing them out, but that does come with the risk of scaring away players that just feel frustrated.
but to answer your questions: you have to enter the right number in order to progress to the next level (there are 65 in total). to do that you need to understand the clues the game is giving you in various ways.
I see.
Sadly I don’t seem to get the clue.
It's so interesting, and very well made, I had no difficulty understand what was the point of that whole game. Great job !
The minimalist design and intuitive puzzles made it both challenging and rewarding. The analog-digital aesthetic added a unique charm, and the subtle narrative elements kept me engaged. A standout entry in the jam, well done!
This was weirdly addicting in the best way. Loved the intuitive puzzle design and analog-digital aesthetic. Easily one of the most unique games I’ve ever played! Huge props for originality
Superb!
The game is super cool! had fun playing
Currently paused at level 10, but only because my tragic mortal duties have dragged me away from achieving true enlightenment. I shall return to this MASTERPIECE (I mean it) when destiny allows!
Crazy good, hard to see the theme in this one, but the game is so nice I forgot it is for a game jam, rly solid!
thanks!
you are right, my interpretation of the theme is not very obvious - but it's there. I wanted to capture that feeling of very old electronic toys with super limited output (like a couple of LCDs or a handful of LEDs) that still managed to create the experience of interactive worlds and mystery in the mind of their players. I still have fond memories of endlessly playing with this as a kid for example. so I guess "tiny worlds" to me means very limited technology that invites the players imagination to fill out the blanks - as a contrast to modern "open worlds" that are vast and spelled out in every detail but might feel empty and meaningless.
haha, sorry for monolouging a whole manifesto on you, but I wanted to spell it out once for me, too :-)
Damn great submission and i mean sumbission as a whole not only the game but the "marketing" around it. those posters look so proffesional and fun that for a second i thought it was a real ad. Great job!
This was so much more fun that I thought it could be, so well done. Sounds were perfect.
This by far is the most interesting submission I've played so far. You were able to squeeze out so much from one mechanic. The sounds you chose fit your theme brilliantly. Great job, I'd love to have this on my phone!
wow, thank you for the high praise!
the web build plays surprisingly good on mobile by the way.
This game is clearly brilliant. Unfortunately, I am not! Some of the puzzles I could figure out entirely on my own. Some I could understand what was asked of me but couldn't quite get there without the hints. And then there's the ones like level 45 which I cannot for the life of me comprehend. I'm sure it's very simple and obvious to smart people, but this was my limit.
Also! I really felt like some horrible math monstrosity was stalking me in the background while I banged my head
against the number walls. Which certainly added to the experience. But maybe that's just my take on things.
everyone making it to level 45 (no matter how) is brilliant in my book. thank you for the kind words and your time.
the hint in level 45 has a bit of an attitude and makes you wait - but it is there ;-)
to be honest, the puzzle type you seem to have problems with is a 100 times easier with the right outside knowledge (which is the binary numbers system in this case) and I always felt a bit uneasy to include it because of that - so you can totally blame the game.
this was simple in mechanic but really cool in concept! good job on the puzzles
Great idea. It somehow reminds me of the types of puzzles you'd see on the internet back in the day where you had to put the answer into the url to get to the next page - that sort of minimalism where the user is left to figure it out. I like that you added the hints. The game looks good and I had fun.
I only got to level 10 in my first attempt, but I’ll save it to finish all the levels later. The game’s atmosphere and theme relax me. It’s a very good experience! Good work!
Simple but effective puzzle game, it is challenging though. By the way i also made a puzzle game, you can try it out.
