Thank you, I’m happy to read of you and many others that you enjoyed playing it! Have a good coding time!

Thank you very much. That’s nice. And yes, background music is already planned for the upgraded version. If you play it again, tell me your overall result for the 9 holes. I’m curious!

Congrats to the good result. :)

And funny to mention the dynamic obstacles because moving walls and switches and many more is already on my list for the upgraded version with at least 18 holes.

Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. And good results for your game … chooo!

Oh super, the awesome Honey-Game-Developer. :D

Thank you very much for your feedback and mentioning the visuals. I tested some palettes before picking this one. And the rounded rectangles were invented when I sketched the layout and levels with Krita and my graphics tablet. :)

And I know the Playdate. Me, I prefer open source devices but the Playdate looks nice, that’s right. Did you code a game for it? Can I code it without owning one?

Happy results for your bees and you!

Thank you so much. Yes, hole 9 is the “boss fight” at the end. ;)

And you are the first one mentioning the Back-Button, I implemented after a friend of mine played a very first version.

Enjoy your way and good results!

Thanks!

Can you please tell me if you played mobile or desktop and with mouse, touch or keys?

Tell me if you have a desktop version. Would be nice!

And if you’ve still some time, then please rate my game until the rating time is over.

Very nice. Your English is very good. I will contact you.

Ah, and I rated your game. Did you really create the art yourself?

So, you’ll here from me soon and I wish you a good result for your game!

Here, would be really nice if you could rate it before the rating ends.

The idea to play not only a character is nice, I prefer happier games and stories but I rated it subjective. It’s a complex level design. Good work!

Hey, I didn’t forget to play and rate yours. Again thanks for your very detailed feedback.

I enjoyed the game, especially the polished features of the stars per level and the character selection. The first levels are very easy and that’s fine. I had to take a look to the “?” to get the controls known, maybe a little in-game information had been an advantage.

For the movement it feels little strange especially at first that the characters take such big steps. Maybe with a grid with very little alpha had helped to get into the moves faster. Or making smaller steps. But with this step width the screen is filled and with the really nice art it gives the game the special touch.

On my laptop is was little slow, so a downloadable version for Linux had been nice to experience it in full speed.

But a very nice and cute game. Just an idea for an update: Some monsters or animals in the character selection that are locked until you reach a specific level.

Enjoy your programming and like I said, let’s stay in contact, I started by following you. :)

Well said. Thank you very much again! I think we should stay in contact. How?

And I also noticed I did not rate your game already although I thought I did.

From time to time I needed flash on my Linux system, so I have a flash emulator but thanks for the information.

And I’ll rate your game, of course. I thought I did already.

Thanks. Yes, I had the old game “Gorilla” in mind, the grandfather of Angry Birds. ;)

Thank you. I am very happy that you and others recognize that effort!

Thank you! And also for mentioning problems at the line ends. I have to check that!

Thanks, that’s nice. I read this the second time, so I should look for these old golf flash games. I’m happy you really like my creation!

I’m also impressed. By your feedback. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation how you experienced the game.

You named all the parts I paid attention on: Searching for a nice fitting but simple palette and the decision for round forms, the effort for the physics and also the levels that was planned by sketching many levels at first and the selecting the best ones, and the sound recording of about 30 sounds with also music themes but then I decided for just one each for the ball hit and the hole.

So, thank you again and when I am low on motivation I’ll just read your lines. :) You made my day!

Very interesting, I should start to experiment more with tweening! And thanks for rating my game. Did you already?

It would be nice if you’d rate my game. Did you already? And I’m curious about the Linux version.

Thank you so much. It’s good to read from someone who knows about the challenges behind my golf game. It was also fun, starting with the ball and controls and then the UI, the physics, walls, hole, adjusting the ball physics and and and … thanks again!

I really like idle clicker and the pinata theme is a good one. The upgrade icons are nice, a little small but they influence me as a player to continue playing. Good creation!

What I’m interested in is how you animated the buttons? With sine curves getting smaller?

Would you play mine, please?

A nice tetris clone. The movement and feel is intuitive. Maybe there could be a faster move with the down key as in the real one but it’s nice. Good creation!

Would you play/rate mine, please?

I love it. The first game here in the jam I will also play regularly! Very good work and idea. Also the tutorial and slowly increasing difficulty is nice. Maybe you can add a download - for Linux - that would be awesome.

Would you also play and rate mine?

Sadly, there’s no download for Linux but I rated your game because I really like train games and especially the hand-drawn art. Good work!

Would you rate and play mine?

Nice variation of Flappy Bird. The controls are good in balance, only the sounds are not the best. But the game is fun!

Would you rate and play mine, too?

I’m happy that you like the controls and physics. It was a lot of work but challenging. Thank you very much!

By the way, you are the first one who thanked for my submission. Very kind!

Okay, I will pay attention on it. The ball also has a maximum speed. But thanks for reaching out.

Thank you. And it’s a good result. My best - because I played it ooooften - is 18/21. Can you get a better result? ;)

You’re very welcome. And if you have questions then you can always reach out for me or write a contact like email and I will write you there.

And thanks for following me back!

:D

Thanks for the description. The ball bounces like all reflections but when it rolls over the hole with a higher speed - so it does not fall in - it drifts to a side influenced by the hole like in real golf. Maybe that’s it. But of course, I’ll check it. And thanks for your reply again.

Thanks. Could you explain what was unpredictable with the bounce? That would be helpful because it’s an elastic collision and I would like to improve it when I understand what you mean.

Thank you a lot. I like it that you name it a fast paced game. Some needed their time but I think it’s also a different game feel when you use mouse, touch or keys.

Good time.

Thanks. And a good idea with the Fast Forward button. Will be done in the upgraded version, then with more levels and more mechanics. ;)

Thanks again.

Hey, again thanks for the feedback to my game and the interesting questions you asked.

You found a very good idea for the theme and in 3D you challenged yourself. Nice looking art and good animations/transitions with the letters.

For me, the browser game is little slow, so it would be awesome if you would export a Linux version someday.

Have a good time!

A really good idea and a fun game, nice art. Good work, Sam!

So kind words. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. It motivates me to make more games and especially publish more. Especially with special physics I have made some creations but only for myself.

So, I can just send you a big Thanks!

And you asked for the collision: So, I used vector math and I check what’s the nearest point for the ball to a wall, one of the endpoints or a point on the line. You can do that with vector math or trigonometry. And when having the closest point then you can calculate the distance and see if the ball center is less than the radius away from the wall and the resolve the position first and then the velocity with an elasticity factor. Complex but nice.

For the physics and math it’s worth to work on it in detail and write the code more general, so you can use it in other projects with some changes and also you can adapt in for other programming languages.

Have a good time, let’s stay in contact and fun with the jam!

Thank you. And I thought about background music but then I decided to just use sounds for the player to stay focused on the strokes. But for the upgraded version I will use background music and a possibility to switch it on/off.

In all my games I made some music in the menus and the game myself, so if you have some time, check the sounds and music of “Plif’s Speed Platformer” or “Funny Land”.

Again thanks for your feedback!
