Thank you, I’m happy to read of you and many others that you enjoyed playing it! Have a good coding time!

Oh super, the awesome Honey-Game-Developer. :D
Thank you very much for your feedback and mentioning the visuals. I tested some palettes before picking this one. And the rounded rectangles were invented when I sketched the layout and levels with Krita and my graphics tablet. :)
And I know the Playdate. Me, I prefer open source devices but the Playdate looks nice, that’s right. Did you code a game for it? Can I code it without owning one?
Happy results for your bees and you!

Here, would be really nice if you could rate it before the rating ends.
Hey, I didn’t forget to play and rate yours. Again thanks for your very detailed feedback.
I enjoyed the game, especially the polished features of the stars per level and the character selection. The first levels are very easy and that’s fine. I had to take a look to the “?” to get the controls known, maybe a little in-game information had been an advantage.
For the movement it feels little strange especially at first that the characters take such big steps. Maybe with a grid with very little alpha had helped to get into the moves faster. Or making smaller steps. But with this step width the screen is filled and with the really nice art it gives the game the special touch.
On my laptop is was little slow, so a downloadable version for Linux had been nice to experience it in full speed.
But a very nice and cute game. Just an idea for an update: Some monsters or animals in the character selection that are locked until you reach a specific level.
Enjoy your programming and like I said, let’s stay in contact, I started by following you. :)
I’m also impressed. By your feedback. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation how you experienced the game.
You named all the parts I paid attention on: Searching for a nice fitting but simple palette and the decision for round forms, the effort for the physics and also the levels that was planned by sketching many levels at first and the selecting the best ones, and the sound recording of about 30 sounds with also music themes but then I decided for just one each for the ball hit and the hole.
So, thank you again and when I am low on motivation I’ll just read your lines. :) You made my day!
Hey, again thanks for the feedback to my game and the interesting questions you asked.
You found a very good idea for the theme and in 3D you challenged yourself. Nice looking art and good animations/transitions with the letters.
For me, the browser game is little slow, so it would be awesome if you would export a Linux version someday.
Have a good time!
So kind words. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. It motivates me to make more games and especially publish more. Especially with special physics I have made some creations but only for myself.
So, I can just send you a big Thanks!
And you asked for the collision: So, I used vector math and I check what’s the nearest point for the ball to a wall, one of the endpoints or a point on the line. You can do that with vector math or trigonometry. And when having the closest point then you can calculate the distance and see if the ball center is less than the radius away from the wall and the resolve the position first and then the velocity with an elasticity factor. Complex but nice.
For the physics and math it’s worth to work on it in detail and write the code more general, so you can use it in other projects with some changes and also you can adapt in for other programming languages.
Have a good time, let’s stay in contact and fun with the jam!
Thank you. And I thought about background music but then I decided to just use sounds for the player to stay focused on the strokes. But for the upgraded version I will use background music and a possibility to switch it on/off.
In all my games I made some music in the menus and the game myself, so if you have some time, check the sounds and music of “Plif’s Speed Platformer” or “Funny Land”.
Again thanks for your feedback!
