I really enjoyed this! the atmosphere was so calming, and the subtle story about memory and loss was beautifully done, The art style and music fit perfectly. Great job!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words, I am glad you enjoyed it. Your game is great!

Submitted

Really liked the atmosphere you created. Swimming around and eating was relaxing, and the music choice was spot on. The simple art style worked well. I did get a bit confused at first on how to start moving, but once I figured it out, it was smooth swimming. Nice work

Developer

Thank you...the idea for the fishbowl as a tiny world came first, and everything followed naturally.

Submitted

Super cozy aquarium game! And clever use of a pun in the title matching the killer background track! Well done.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much...You noticed what I intended.

Submitted

I had. A fishy expereince

Developer

If it subverted you expectations, than yes, you did. :)
Thanks for playing!

Such a sweet little game. The thick strokes and the simple art. It’s more an awesome art project than a game. But it’s also that. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you...it IS an art project, a small story of a tiny world. :)

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Really nice. And the title fits perfectly. :)

Maybe you can export it for Linux. I’d play it regularly.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I will try to expand the gameplay, maybe add multiple endings (as soon as I figure out how to do all of that)...and port it for Linux.
Hey, I played and finished "Funny Land" in a meantime. ;)

Submitted

Hey, would be nice. What engine? So, you’re more the artist than the coder?

Hehe, for Funny Land I missed the update. I got so many good ideas during the jam for it but I never was motivated to make a Funny Land 2.0. But many critics of it I included in my speed platformer now.

Developer(+1)

What engine?
GM:S (the first one).

So, you’re more the artist than the coder?
If I have to guess, a game designer, the rest I work around, ask, read, copy and stea..."borrow".

..but I never was motivated to make a Funny Land 2.0.
I really liked the game...and SFX made me smile. :)

But many critics of it I included in my speed platformer now.
I have recognized the influence...truly good job.

Submitted

Sounds good. Maybe we can do a jam together some day?

Submitted

Wow that got me in the feels.  Everything's going swimmingly and then someday one's world is turned upside down by someone's passing.  Great stuff!

Developer(+1)

I intended to provoke an emotional response from the player...thank you very much for your kind words.

Submitted

love swimming, love eating, love pink floyd

Developer

And I loved your comment...and also your game.

Submitted

Swimming around and eating food is quite nice. Nice game play!

Developer

Thank you very much, the enjoyable gameplay was one of the main goals.

Submitted (1 edit)

Unfortunately I was unable to pass the "fish you were here" screen.

I enjoyed the simple art style and music of that screen. not sure if I am missing something... screen cap should I click somewhere specific?

Developer

Hi Bootnut...not sure what is happening, you should just hold mouse pointer inside the bowl, and hold LMB to move.

Submitted

okay, I will give it another try.

Developer(+1)

Thank you...I played your game and I liked the idea and the mechanics. :)

Submitted

Such a relaxing game, art style is simple but consistent with the whole design. Nice work and really original!

Developer

Thank you very much for this comment...that was the intended goal of the project.

Submitted

Such a sad ending, it was very relaxing to eat and listen to that nice cover

Developer(+1)

Yes, the ending is sad...but the memory remains. Thank you for playing the game.

Submitted

Fun game, fit the theme very well.(love the music of course)

Would have played more of the mouse was locked to the screen aha

Developer(+1)

Thank you...I guess all aquarium inspired games are fun. ;)

Submitted

That was pleasant suprise) It possibly could be a bigger art project, dream fish. Nice cover by the way.

Developer

Thank you for trying my game. It is imagined as an atmospheric project.

Submitted

I like how the game is controlled and the design overall. I assumed that the blue fish was trying to get me, so I kept avoiding it. Not sure if that was the intention, but when the blue fish disappeared I thought maybe they were supposed to be friends and the goldfish forgot about them? Because of gold fish memory. The story was poignant to me in that sense. Well done! :D

Developer

You are right...the point is that the red fish remembers its friend, and the memory is slowly fading away,  just like most things do. I let the player try to feed both fish or not in order to keep them alive,  make one run away or play with another, to come up with personal take on the part of the story. Thank you for playing.

Submitted

Very pretty and easy to play.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing...your game is also quite enjoyable. I was thinking about making a similar game and I am glad somebody did.
Great work.

Submitted

This game has a great take on the concept of Tiny World. Nice relaxing little game. Good job.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you very much...to be relaxing and to tell a story was a main goal.
Your game made me feel creative.

Submitted

Ah a fellow fish-game-creator! I liked the music and it fit well with the theme. I think it could do with some extra explanation for the actual gameplay.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you...I enjoyed your game also.
This game is more about the story (as you imagine it) and little less about actual gameplay.

Submitted

I played a couple of times but i'm not sure what the win condition or gameplay loop is? It does fit the theme nicely though.

Developer

There is no actual win condition...just a story of a lonely goldfish, told through gameplay.
Thank you for playing and your comments, I also liked your game.
