nice work! multiple mini games in one.. and a nice story behind it. I enjoyed it.. honestly took me 1 go of confusion to work out what I was meant to do and then went back and read the instructions better. The baseball game felt not quite responsive enough, i felt like i sent a lot of people to the right, but didnt move enough to the right. Was good fun and well put together
Thanks for playing.
Yeah, all the games could have used more tweaking, clarity and from what I've been reading, some difficulty adjustments. Normally my kids would've been my game testers and would've told me what was wrong with the game (they don't hold back), but unfortunately I was working too frantically to get the five games built.
Nice job in making this cute little game. Love the way you incorporated the theme.
Loved the arts for the game however I can't fully experience the game as it become laggy in my pc. I realised that this happen in few others game too.
It looks very interesting but even after multiples times trying I couldn't figure out how to play the first mini games. I've read the comments below so I understand it was your goal to make people figure out, but in that case it could be interesting to add a clue system for people like me that is available after a certain number of tries, to prevent frustration.
Thanks for playing and your input. It gave me an idea. Since modifying the game would be counter to the spirit of the game jam, I instead decided to add some additional information to the game page. Under the controls, I gave a stronger hint towards what the play may need to do. I hope that helps provide the player with enough direction. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the game easier, as people have found the minigames too difficult...
This was so cute!! I really enjoyed what you did with the theme . Super polished looking to boot I love
The mini games are such a cute concept. I did find it pretty challenging at times, particularly the the baseball and skeet games. Having to start over initially felt too much but considering the actual length of the game and that taking the time to really understand the mechanics paid off I think this is a great entry ^^
Loved the story, very creative. I enjoyed the mini games, and I love the imagery of batting the villagers around. It was very satisfying after trying to herd them around :P .
Polish? You nailed it. Really nice feel to this game. Nice pace in some tricky games (I need an "easy mode"). Great job :)
Thanks for playing. Yeah, because I developed the game, I was a bad tester. I was actually worried it was too easy. But I've heard from other people that it might have been too difficult. If I had the time, I would have gotten someone else to test it before I submitted it. Hopefully it was only difficult in the challenging way not frustrating way.
I loved your game! It takes a bit of time to get used to the controls, but it's super fun and I really enjoyed it. As feedback, you might consider making the mechanics more random — like having different mechanics each time. The controls for the villagers feel a bit clunky, but overall, it's perfect! <3
Thanks for playing and your feedback. Yes, in fact that some randomness was on the list, but it had to be given a lower priority given the time constraints. I wanted more potential minigames that the game could toss at the player and the path the tortoise runs along might also be different each playthrough.
Yeah, the controls have room for improvement. I didn't leave enough time for me to balance all the systems like controls and difficulty.
