Hey all!

This was my first game jam that i made with my friend "itsnotsimon". It was suuuuper hectic but really fun to do! What did you guys struggle with? Did you have any team members drop out or were you solo? Send me some games and I'll rate them(Tell me some stories too). Be sure to check out mine!!

Here you go. First time any of the team have participated in a Game Jam. So far our struggle is that a lot of raters don't see how it matches the theme. It's subtle, and shows more the farther you get in the story.

Ok I'll try to be constructive. You're game looks actually pretty good and the world is well setup. But the problem comes becuase of the nature of game jams, people are less likely to wait for long winded games. You need something at the beginning that will make you want to play the game more or for longer, whether that be through an interesting tutorial or and interesting start to the game. So your game could be the best thing in the world but it takes too long to get into it and it wont last in a jam. I still rated well considering this! Do try out my game :P

Your style is really, really clean. Like easily 3rd fave, it's utterly adorable. I just think the game was a bit too dark and I didn't really know what to do or where to go! Such a shame for something that looks so pretty.. Will rate in a couple secs

Edit: well i just played it, nice work!!, my first ending was neutral, also the narration was really cool.

This was mine and my cousin's (Macintrash) first jam... The stressful part I noticed right away was just how many submissions we are all competing with! That and we are worried people don't have enough time to reach the ending for the "full effect" it has to offer.

part of the sad thing about game jams I think.. longer games dont rly get credit unless they have some sort of hook at the beginning, even tho the ending could be amazing, chekcing out ur game right now

I was extremely busy at start of jam, and when it left only four days of submission, I got an idea. I realized, that I can create something not so complex, so i stoped on a simple economy game. And I made my game completely solo in three days. Also, at saturday, I became sick, so it was really hard to finish. During creating my game, I met several challenges: to find a proper tool for creating music, and to deal with it. To write some fun texts, which is necessary for my game - I`m not a native speaker, so it was really difficult. And, turns out, to create, balance and test the economy, even very simple, it`s not so easy as I thought before. So, I learned some new things, and got some fun, and it`s great.
