A bit too easy in the early levels with not enough bullets.  Has a bunch of cool stuff: different enemy types, upgrades, etc.  Not super creative in terms of theme, but it's a pretty solid implementation.  Good job!

While I know this is a jam, I would highly suggest not putting upgrades behind a speed timer. It only allows for one play style and creates a snowball effect of difficulty. Once you start missing the mark, the game just gets harder and harder. The movement also felt incredibly floaty for a game about precision.
I loved the fracturing of enemies, it was a great way to visualize enemy health without having to stick health bars above them. The arsenal was perfect (primary, secondary, dash) and their limitations were fair, though I would have liked to see more diverse upgrades. Overall, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback :)

The difficulty only increases when you level up. So the snowball effect should not happen, but at some point, it is likely that not finishing an arena means the player won't finish any arena in the same difficulty and therefore no progress is possible anymore. So I do understand your point ^^

I am currently working on a better upgrade system with more diverse upgrades, more than one way to gain level ups (not tied to speed), and more impact of each upgrade :)

It is a nice art style... Great way to show enemies life by cutting parts of them...

It is fairly simple to understand the mechanics, but the shooting + controlling felt a little weird sometimes... And the upgrade lvls didn't felt much impactful to me, the only one that really felt as an improvement was the 2x power gun after 4 lvls...

The music seemed interesting but I almost couldn't hear it, while the Power Gun sfx almost made me jump out of my chair kkk

I don't know why, but the full screen button didn't work for me in the first time I opened the game... It only started working after I lost the game and got back to the menu.

But the credits page also broke at that time... Showing the text without the background and the close button. I could still click Play... but the credits went into the game with me...  I'm playing on Chrome as a browser.

And Man... That red text on the game page was really hard to my eyes...

Overall it was a fun experience. Good job.

Thank you for the detailed feedback ;) I am already working on improving the sounds, controls and upgrade system.

I'll have to look into the full screen button and credits page. Thanks for mentioning it!

Appreciated the unique visual style, and the gameplay felt slick.
For the amount of focus on upgrades I didn't really feel as much of the impact of the upgrades as I would have hoped.

Developer

Thank you :) The upgrade system was hard to balance especially for the late difficulties. But anyway, I will try to improve it, so each upgrade has more impact!

pretty fun game, but sometimes later levels where easier (had less enemies/ only weaker ones) than the levels before, which is pretty strange.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback :)

The levels within the same difficulty have a pretty random spawn system which unfortunately sometimes leads to easier encounters then before... I have already fixed that in a newer version ;)

this game is sooo good. I've took a look at you fracture stuff first anf ist so cool used in this game.
I had a really great time with this!

Developer

Thank you very much ;) The fracture system is the reason I joined the jam, because I wanted to try it in an actual game :D

Very well developed game, clear menus, clear rules and always aware of your score and how you're progressing. Great graphics too! Nice work!

I like that you can continue to improve your abilities all the time and it feels very awarding. Audio needs some balancing. Had fun playing :)

Thank you :)

This is really cool! I think the concept and the execution of this is really really well done. Just three things that I noticed: some sound effects are noticably louder than other (the rmb shot), and that the bullets should be way bigger, the black bullets were almost invisible for me, and lastly the movement smoothing has to go, or at least it has to be reduced dramatically, since it bullet hells really need small precise movements, and player character in this game feels like he's sliding on ice.

Still, wonderful nice job! I really enjoyed it

Thank you very much for the detailed feedback ;)

Really good difficulty curve, I never felt like the game was too easy or unfair. The enemy's could be a little more different in design (not just color or size) but other than that really good game.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback ;)

I love the simplicity and the different enemy types. It was just a blast.

Great game, but on some levels, the difficulty decreases instead of increasing and the big yellow enemy have a louder sound compared to the others, but besides that great work, the game have a good vibe to play, i managed to get until wave 18!

Developer

Thank you :) The waves are a little bit too random within the same difficulty level ^^

Enjoyed it. It was a bit easy for a long time (for my personal taste) :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks :) Yeah, it was for me too but getting the difficulty right is hard xD Also I had no time for any kind of tutorial so I settled for an easy beginning ;)

Rather fun! I like that one could power up after each successful level. Bouncing off the walls with dash was fun.

Thanks for the feedback ๐Ÿ‘ Iโ€™m glad you enjoyed it :)
