Ranked from 61 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
After completing a round the player’s movement is “rewound” and played through a ghostly enemy, this will continue to iterate for every round.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all except the font, which was 100% free license.

The mechanics of not being able to go back is very nice. Well done, bravo!

Really fun to play, loved the idea. Nice take on the theme.

Developer(+1)

thank you, if anything I’m hoping to get high points in fun.

Nice twist on an old concept!

Developer

Thanks, I’m pretty inexperienced with unity and working alone I decided to lean on an old concept with my own twist

Submitted(+1)

Love the concept and it's great how easily understandable it is without any instructions. It turns into a really challenging puzzle game, very well done!

Developer

thank you, I was hoping the imagery would play off of intuitive concepts

I got a score of 404, neat concept. This is very well done. Am I doing something wrong, or is there no audio?

Developer

thanks for posting your score. Unfortunately there was no audio added in time for submission. I will be adding audio once ratings are over.

I like how the game makes you think about your moves more so it kind of turns into a puzzle game. This is a solid entry and it was a lot of fun to play.

Fun game! I enjoyed it.

Liked the pacman homage and it was a nice take on the theme, really original and innovative.

It's a really interesting mechanic to have the ghosts of your past restrict your future movements. One thing I didn't realize on the first playthrough and was a really nice touch was that your score would decrease over time, pushing you to move more quickly.

I would definitely play something with these mechanics on my free time and enjoy it. An element of competition like a highscore leaderboard would hook me up a lot too.

I feel like it could've been more fun if it was faster at the start or if the map was smaller so you'd run into problems sooner. Maybe it was just me wanting a bigger challenge.

I don't know if there was music or not but I didn't get to hear it. I think an 8-bit spooky theme would fit nicely.

Great idea and nice work!

Developer

thank you, it turns out to be a common comment so after the jam is over I will be adding in settings to allow the player to chose a smaller board and/or a faster speed.  If I can figure out a leaderboard I’ll add that too.

That'd be awesome!

This was really fun! I think you have a solid idea and executed it well. Definitely one of my faves of the jam so far. I think you could introduce the ghost sooner but that's not a big deal. Good job!

Create twist on the retro pacman style gameplay.

Submitted(+1)

good old retro pacman style! great job! :D

Really makes you think about going over old spaces. The ghost is great at forcing you to make decisions you wanted to avoid.

Developer

and the best thing is, the ghosts are just your old movement. so... you are great at forcing you to make decisions you want to avoid

Submitted(+1)

I didn't realize that, thats a really cool way of doing it.

Really cool concept, a new take on pac man. I liked it a lot! I can see myself playing this on mobile while waiting for something, maybe doing a port to mobile would be cool! Really original idea, very interesting. The art is cute and really impressive, simple but pretty! Nice job on this game!

Hey, why don't you try mine and leave it a rating?

Developer

thank you for your kind words. I doubt it will have a mobile release anytime soon. I did have a lot of fun dev’ing for the jam so I’m glad to hear you had fun playing too.

Nice job!

Yo’ Templar here,
Very fun take on good old pacman, the only thing lacking is music and sfx, and maybe increase the speed of the player to make a round be little short.

Developer

thank you, I appreciate the feedback

Submitted(+1)

Very cool idea and the gameplay, I just think that the rules could have been written somewhere. Other than that, everything is awesome.

Submitted(+1)

Like the idea! maybe increase the speed of the player and the ghosts.

Developer

thank you, I’m going to add a game speed option in settings I think

Submitted(+1)

Really like the idea, although I think there should be more ghosts in the start,  as it's a bit slow in the start

Submitted(+1)

Really cool idea! I like the artstyle! Some music and sounds would be awesome though.

Developer (1 edit)

thank you, I was leaving sound as my last element of polish but ran out of time to implement it. I have learnt my lesson and for future jams I know now to at least put in audio events along the way so I can quickly add sound files at the end.

You´ve created a nice small game. It´s a cool idea to record the player´s movement and put it onto an enemy. After some rounds it gets really stressful. I´ve had a lot of fun playing it.

I´ve submitted a local multiplayer game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722755. I would be happy to get your feedback on it. :-D

Developer(+1)

thank you, I look forward to playing your game

This game is super simple yet charming. I like that you have to think about each move, but sometimes the ghosts are irrelevant and don't add a challenge until later in the game.

Developer

thank you, yes I figured the difficulty curve would be logarithmic.
