In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game is set in a constant loop, where the world rewinds constatly to the same instant in time, while also the player can use orbs to rewind specific events.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

I liked it a lot, it had a nice feeling of tension to it. The monster chasing you was scary if you dont see it coming (for me at least), as the first orbs were in the open areas and you could just see it coming right at you.
I found it much scarier when I couldnt see it coming in the maze and then it came and killed me. A few times. The maze is hard to get past as once the monster is in there with you, you're basically doomed as you can only outrun it if you had a clear path.
I would give the monster a kind of eery sound effect that got louder when nearer to you so you know or possible adding fog to hide the monster until it is a certain distance away from you, that way, you would always be on edge. also some sort of indicator or subtle sound to know you picked up an orb would be a nice touch I think.
Overall fun game, I enjoyed playing it, and i think it has that nice Indie horror look to it. Great Job!
Saracen here, thank you very much. I’ve already added fog, darkened the entire game and added a flashlight (because if clichés exist is because they work!!) along some other things. Will take into account the sound fx you mentioned though. Again, thanks :D
I hate you for the screem at the begining!
But seriously, the game is really cool, I liked the graphics, it really added to the whole atmoshpere. I'm easily scared, so don't need photo-realism for that, so the graphics were enough for me to be scary, and they also evoked the feelings of some older games and mostly of indie horrors. While I wasn't really involved in the indie horror craze few years back, I have played some, and this one really fits into that category. So atmosphere and graphics are my favourites for this one.
I feel like the steps sound could change when walking on different surfaces, cause while it adds to the overall atmosphere it's weird to hear while walking on grass. The map felt a little to big for me, as I had to play multiple times it was a little monotonous, but I understad the choice of making it that way. It took me a while and couple of playthroughs to know what to do, but that maybe be just my brain not working while I'm afraid. On a sidenote my game crashed too, while trying to view I think green orb for the second time.
Cheers,
Hi! Saracen here, yeah I’m a scaredy cat myself too, so I know what you mean, however for the same reason I also think there’s a lot of untapped potential, as in I know what I would hate to happen next or how to increase tension (if that makes sense). We’ll work on the sound per surface thing, hadn’t taken it into account tbh.
Cheers mate
My thoughts during gameplay:
First game: "Ok, let's find those orbs... Oh, can't go there... Nor there... Ah finally an orb! Wait what is that thing near the pillars? It's coming for me! Crap, I died..."
Second game: "Pickup first orb, check. Where is that monster? Nothing behind... This is weird, where did it go? Never mind let's go seek the second orb, but keep looking around for the monster... Second orb in the pillar and the monster is nowhere to be seen... Third and still no sign of the monster... Sneaky developers, they want me to be scared rest of the game but the demon won't appear anymore! HOLY SH**! Here it is again!"
I loved it!
Regarding improvements, most of what I saw has been said, but I will add that the walking sound should stop when walking perpendicular to a wall (I mean pressing forward button but not actually moving due to the wall)
Great job!
Thanks a lot!!! :D

It did end up crashing on my with the orangish orb but overall I loved this. its got a super good horror vibe, super stylized and the cut scenes were a really nice touch to tell the player where to go.It is a bit empty but at the same time I did need that room to escape that demon so I cant really fault it. I think the sound mixing does need a little balance, I felt like I was wearing jackhammer shoes even with the volume down. I think you made something awesome and id be excited to see it expanded upon.
Thanks a lot! It will be expanded and a little bit more polished once the rating period is over. Surely though, we’ve learn a lot from doing this and can’t wait to put in into practice on another game. I’ll personally come back into this comment section to look for you and ask you that you play that one
Again, thanks a lot. Cheers

Well for my honest opinion, I think the mouse sensitivity is a bit too low, the explorable area feels quite empty. I did like the atmosphere and the retro feel the game has. The game has a lot of potential it just needs some more work.
Thank you! Honesty is all we ask for from the feedback. I’ve been working on that emptiness since launch and will update the game as soon as the rating period is over. Again, thanks

I felt like playing slenderman jeje. I liked that out of the box of rewind concept. it was a bit weird at first key arrows and mouse but then i realized you hace added a key cutomizer, really nice touch also as the language selector. Cool game.
(Please rate mine :D)
Thank you! Will do! :D
interesting game i really liked the graphics it feels like playing retro games and atmosphere was really good it felt really spooky i really liked it well done
Very mysterious game! It was interesting to explore the little world. Here's my feedback:
Great:
Can be improved:
Great work!
Thank you so very much!!!
I’ll look into that crash as well as into the resizing thingy for the update to come. The settings menu actually has a mouse slider that I forgot to make functional (yeah, I’m smart like that), and I’ll do my best with the sound effects next time!!
Again, thank you so very much to take your time to give this invaluable info :D!!! We’ll do the same shortly!!
Interesting game! With little to no instructions you managed to let the player figure out by himslef what he has to do perfectly! I got a little bit of trouble on that maze one, but in second try i could finally find that orb haha :D
Thank you very much! I’m glad someone noticed it :D I didn’t want to break the atmosphere with instructions. After the two weeks rating period the game will be updated, polished and expanded upon, so if you’re interested follow the updates on our Twitter page!

This is intriguing. Now if I could just avoid my bloody demise
Wow. It was very nice and retro. I died in an unusual way
Thanks a ton!

I really like this game's atmosphere and retro aesthetic. One issue I had with the game though is that I couldn't change the mouse sensitivity for some reason. Also I had a hard time escaping the monster because I couldn't turn. The "jump scare" also could be a bit more scary too. This might be nitpicking but I found it weird not being able to look up or down considering it's a 3D game. Other than that, good game!
Thanks! Yeah, the mouse thing is already in the to-be-fixed list, and we’ve been working on the scary side ever since launch. It’ll be updated as soon as the rating period is over.

weird game but i like it :D i like the old retro style graphics, sounds were nice. a little bit creepy but not too much :D
good job!
:D!!
Horror games usually creep me out too much to play -- this one had a fitting atmosphere, and I liked all the sound and artwork a lot. I could have used a bit more direction in terms of what to do while playing, but I explored for a while and found some spooky orbs. Nice job!
Thanks for the feedback :D. Will take that into account for future updates!

Love the atmosphere of this game. I get big Slenderman vibes from the game. I would like to see this game iterated on using like PS1 graphics maybe. Oh and that scream on startup.... you're gonna end up killing someone with that lol
Thanks! Yeah, that’ll be fixed in an update xD
Not a bad take on the theme, the monster is terrifying as hell when its literally beelining towards you and you got no where to run, some notes I have during the gameplay:
- The 20 meters tall 15 tons Lovecraftian monsters with 8 mouths and 16 tongues makes less sound than a library
- I ran into it twice, both time it just run straight towards me without turns, and I have no clue how to get it off my tail, I'm not even entirely sure how I did it the first time either
- That scream at the start/end is way too fking loud compare to the rest of the game
- It seems to spawn and despawn out of nowhere, so not sure how to learn the patterns either
- A bit of atmosphere improvement with the lights and sounds can go a long way
- Bit weird that the default controls are arrow keys consider you need the mouse to play, but that's changeable so not a big deal
Overall a pretty enjoyable experience, would recommend
Thanks a ton! This info is invaluable. Will certainly do the changes you mentioned.
Side note: We were leaving the arrow keys to be changed at the end but completely forgot about them T-T
