I'm in love with the art in this game! Gustavo and Espuky are very talented. Funnily enough, I got reminded of Bug Fables before thinking of Paper Mario, probably because it's a critter running around and not an Italian plumber.
While the audio assets weren't created by you guys, it was implemented into the game masterfully. Everything that feels like it should have a sound does have a sound, and I didn't experience any weird audio bugs anywhere. Plus different terrain having different sounds is a nice addition. I had fun just spamming left and right, the flipping animation is done super well and the grass sounds were satisfying.
The writing is also very cute :) I like all the unique dialogue for trees, holes, bridges, fences, etc. I got a little scared with a couple of the balls though, I thought this might become a horror game haha.
Great work!
Thank you for the great feedback, and thank you for playing! You make a lot of good points in your criticism.
I handled the sound effects, and I was quite aware of the annoying increase in volume when there's a lot of birds in a level. I definitely need to look into how other games handle many similar sound effects like that before the next jam, because this has been a consistent problem I've faced.
I was a bit worried about mapping E and R the way I did, sorry that it gave you trouble :(. I actually did most of my playtesting with shift rather than E, but I should've thought more about it or even just put the restart button on the pause screen.
I agree 100% that this type of game warrants having an undo button, I'm sure it would ease at least some of the frustrations for players.

Yay I got a sticker! Good artwork and good music. Most of the twists I felt were pretty creative and done well, though a couple I skipped because they didn't feel different enough for me to want to play through the whole level again. The final level (not including extra stages) was done very well. I also found the Geometry Dash extra level pretty funny
Thank you for the feedback! The difficulty curve definitely got a bit rushed last minute, and I also agree that the controls ended up not being well suited for the game in the end (originally it was supposed to be much more on the puzzle side, later it became more platformer-y). If we were to redo this, I certainly would've spent more time honing the controls to match the gameplay better.

I'm not quite sure I understood how to work towards the objective, but I do love the non-euclidean hallway! I really wanted to do something like that as well, but had no idea how to approach such a thing. The art style is also good (but the residents of the apartments have an interesting taste in paintings, haha)
My favorite part about this game is the movement, the jump's feel floaty in a good way, the sprinting feels good, and the kicks are super satisfying. I like the graphical style you guys chose as well, and the map is pretty neat (and big!), although maybe a bit empty. It certainly feels like a liminal space.
I just finished playing through the entire game. Teleportation level had me pulling out my hair. And the shooting stars? Terrifying. The horse? I don't wanna talk about it don't touch me. Amazing game. Super fun and really creative concept, amazing music too. My heart was POUNDING during that last part, ifykyk. Loved everything about the game, good job to everyone involved, really, it was amazing. Time to go find a therapist now

This is addicting!! I played for quite a while. It would be nice to have some way of knowing exactly which objects are what name, for when something says "2$ when next to a house". Maybe the word "house" could be replaced with the emoji for it? I also think that it's sometimes hard to predict whether your city will meet the happiness requirement, since most of the events trigger at 01:00, which means that you either live or die all at once. This game seems incredibly polished for such a short time of development.
