In what way does your game fit the theme?
You shift and rewind the environment through the 3rd dimension but view the world as a 2d platformer.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and art was created during the jam, but sound effects are stitched together from SoundSnap.com & ProductionCrate downloads.

Loved it! Great execution and beautiful art. Awesome job!

Really good entry!
Found a bug at the very beginning, pressing shift+ctrl a few times while on the first interactable launched me into orbit!
I like the idea of moving things on the Z axis and only having a slice visible at a time, cool stuff.

The game looks awesome! The animations are done pretty well. I have only two things I had issues with:

  • The character is too slippery. I think it would control better if the character was a bit more sticky on inclined surfaces;
  • 'Shift' and 'Ctrl' scheme caused me some trouble when playing, especially in the browser.

Apart from that, the game looks and feels complete and polished and the art style is impressive.

This game is gorgeous! I really enjoyed your game! Excellent work!

Woah. This game is very visually polished. All of the animations and VFX are off the charts in here. So many details like the grass changing by the time shifting. This is an incredibly well done game. I can tell a lot of heart went into this. Please work on this more, I can see this on steam in the future.

This looks amazing!

Very professional and reminds me of several famous Indi games! really great love the vibe and the idea of 3d but 2d is very cool! Overal very impressive! But i do think it would be better to make the player more sticky it kept on sliding around and this made me fall from blocks where it was not my mistake at all just slippery ground. Also a funny fact (no idea if anyone mentions it yet) but on mac “control” + “arrow key” goes to an different screen on macOS so i did not see the game any more :P

i really love the idea how the theme works in this game really well done! you really are one of the best that i have seen with the theme and how it works. So very nice :D also love it that the walls and things move a bit if you play with time and not only the blocks i’m trying to control :)

Really love this game and would love to see improvements and everything in the future :D

Cool graphics, I really like the background and the player movements. You did a great job.

The rewind theme is applied very well.

Only problem that I found out is that you use the shift after a little bit lock my keyboard (accessibility options), also I have bookmarked your game in my chrome :)

Really good job.

If you wanna rate my game is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

Great proposal, with mechanics very well applied.

This is a really good looking game with nice sound design. I love the atmosphere and the visuals when you manipulate time. Though I hated how slippery all the platforms were, I still enjoyed the game as an experience. Great job on this game!

the aesthetics of this game makes it a masterpiece :D

Super cool and pretty game! Although unfortunately the issue with the chrome bookmarks made it difficult to play, and the game crashed after a while T_T. However, it feels nice and polished so well done!! :D

The game art is amazing, I appreciated it very much. From the style to the colors. The idea is also cool. Really good job!

Color pallette for this game was gorgeous. Very polished submission.

Could you please play and rate my game?

The colors of the game is breathtaking, and I like the puzzle aspect of the game. I had the sliding issue as well. And some reset scene would be cool. (One of my block dropped to a hole, I cannot continue, or I did I miss something? )

Puzzles are fun and the game is aesthetically cool.  But the physic make the character and other plateforms sliding on top of each  other. This problem increase the game difficulty.

This is a really cool concept for a limbo-like platformer. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of indication of which way in time will produce what result. I didn't really understand how moving forward or backward in time would make giant pillars emerge or disappear. You managed to create a beautiful atmosphere and engaging puzzles. Kudos!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

This isn't moving through time; rather, you shift and rewind through space. The pillars and platforms that shift are all cross sections of 3d objects, and the player uses these cross sections as platforms. This is also why when shifting, the intersection of the object glows and illuminates the rest of the object in 3d.

hmm... Ok. Now I kind of get it. I really like the concept!

The colored shadow image of the 3d object is great at showing the other dimension. It would be really cool to see intersections of more complex objects!

Developer(+1)

I definitely agree, but one jarring technical limitation that put a stop to any complex shape was getting the concave hull of an object. We didn't have the time to find & implement a working algorithm, so we got the convex hull which is easier. This limitation made it unable to find the crossection of any objects with pockets or divots, which is a shame

MONS is a really aesthetically pleasing game. I had some issues with the slipperyness of the character, though, which caused me to either a) slide down what looked like a small incline, that any humanoid creature could've easily rested on or b) clipping and getting stuck between two objects while moving space around and standing still, as I was moved around by the collision

i love the art style of your game very close with the game that i played on steam, please polish this game more
