This game is so memey, but so good at the same time it's scary.  The controls feel good aside from the mouse punching thing, but you're already planning a fix for this.  Also it's weird how you can smash boulders with the player's fist but you can't attack the enemies and they one shot you lol.  One weird thing though is that I couldn't get past the level where they introduce the restart, I don't know if I'm missing something but I couldn't figure out how to beat it... The main menu and the music are great though, along with the aesthetic, I enjoyed the game even if I couldn't beat it.

Indeed there's a build with the option to punch without using the mouse in the description if you feel like trying it! :)

Initially we wanted to have enemies punch-able but we couldn't make it work since it'd trivialize most of the levels.

That level is done by punching the lever a number of times (3 is enough) and then rewinding twice as you go up. It's also possible to skip levels in the main menu (there's teleporters for each level!). I'd heavily suggest looking at the last one (9th level) since it may or may not be an epic boss fight! :D

Amazing the controls are really good and stealth idea is really unique and i love the interactive main menu thats controlled by the player thats a really great idea amazing submission overall well done

Anyway cool game!

Only one thing: why aiming punches with the mouse? It's so confusing because you see your charachter facing one direction and punching a totally different direction.

2 ways to solve this:
A. You make the punch move in the direction the charachter is facing, so no need of the mouse, just WASD
B. You make the charachter ALWAYS face the direction of the mouse (try to look at games like "OfGuardsAndThieves" to understand what i'm talking about)

I've just added J to punch forward and K as an alternate keybind to rewind alongside a small bugfix. It'll be uploaded as soon as the voting period ends!

Aiming with the mouse was added for all cases where you want to destroy a wall you're not facing towards, which happens surprisingly often.

The plan is to add a keybind to punch forward, while keeping the mouse movement. I'm pondering whether to use E (since it's already a keybind) or another key entirely (which is better, but could get confusing).

There will be a small post-jam update to address a bug someone found and the controls. :)

Wow, this game is GOOD. The graphics, the perfect comedic theme, and the ONOOOO!

I think what really makes this game stand out aside from the fact that it is really solid in terms of character control and movement, is the attention to detail you have put into it, like the hair wobble!!!

All else I can ask for is more detail in the background, but the simplicity does work well with the gameplay as is.

More background detail is a fair point! We left it a bit bare, in hindsight a few suble textures for the floor wouldn't have been a bad idea. :)

This game is awesome! The visuals, the audio, the rewind mechanic. Everything here is super polished and feels awesome. Only minor issues: there's a wall in the area with the long hall that has the turret pointing down on it that has no collision on it, and I just really, really wanted to be able to punch those guys walking around, but still a 5/5 game.

Truly brilliant.  The best game of the jam right here. It was polished, it had great mechanics. It was interesting to play explore and fail at some points as well. Make sure you complete it if you intend on playing it. Absolute madlad iv2b !! Every aspect of the game was enjoyable. I have no cons about this game except the length id love to play this for hours due to the adrenaline rush it gives.

That was really fun! I liked the mechanics and how polished it is with the turret timings and map design! Like mentioned in other comments, would've been nice to have a "punch in your current direction", instead of where the mouse cursor is. It got me killed a few times :D

Really fun, really like the  mechanic, animations, art style, only thing i would change is that the player hit  where he's looking istead of where is the cursor, that makes me die a couple of times, but thats personal preference.

Fair point regarding controls, we ended up having very few cases where you'd not want to punch in the direction you're moving in, having a button to punch forward would've been a neat addition, i didn't consider it!
