nice simple art style. I had a few issues where if there were two of the same color but one of them was colored and one wasn't , not hitting space would take away points

cool voice acted cutscene! The art and cartoon shaders were great.

fun idea! This reminds me of the deltarune chapter 4 climbing mechanic turned into a full game - could be fun to take inspiration from the charged jump mechanic used there. There was some great polish!

We're really glad you liked the game! Sorry you encountered that bug, we somehow didn't even think about the possibility during development xd

pineapple gun shotgun build clears

the use of the art and music was incredibly effective! The game looked incredibly polished and I loved the transition between the two versions of the song at the ending.

Such a creepy game - this was a fun take on a dating game and using a deckbuilder for the narrative. The multiple endings was really cool! Would love to watch a recording to see the endings I missed. I was a little confused about how you unlock additional cards sometimes - after a certain point despite trying both options for a bunch of the cards, it felt like I was just getting the same exact cards over and over again without unlocking any new conversation topics. Is there anything I was missing?

Nice sound design and really clean artwork. The basic game idea was cool, though I'd love to see more in the way of gameplay variety - different attacks or some sort of upgrades would bring a lot to this game.

The graphics for this game were great! I also really liked the variety of different upgrades. I wish there was a bit more variation in the enemies as only fighting the same slime enemies that run towards you gets a bit repetitive - after getting vampirism early on, it became easy to just run at them and mindlessly hit the enemies since the health would be regenerated anyway. Would have loved to see more enemies that could have different behaviors, maybe with slightly more vertical hallways to be able to give enemies extra movement and require the player to be more intentional about their playstyle?

the cartoony 3d art style was so good. The game felt incredibly polished

I love the blue monster so much - the art is impeccable!

having to get five of a kind to win is truly evil in a good way

great ambience and music!

This game was so unbelievably polished! The post processing effects and sound design made this game so good, and there were so many small amazing features like the destructible terrain which was incredible for a gamejam game!

We actually had this as a feature there before where after the first tutorial it wouldn't play again, though it must have gotten overriden. Glad to hear you liked the game!

the art and audio design is so cute! I spent a long time on some of the puzzles - they were really well made and thought out!

really cool visuals and sound design! Fun use of a countdown mechanic that's influenced by your own actions.

the artstyle was so cute and fit so well! The windup mechanic was also a really cool idea for a tower defense game.

LMAO scurvy the kraken holds a special place in our heart <3

the camera can certainly be jank at some points, here's a gameplay recording if you want to see what it's normally like in the regular windows build:

aww this is such a nice complement thank you!

Yeah, the camera movement was one of those things that I think got messed up for some reason with the web build - it feels a lot smoother on desktop.

Glad you liked it otherwise!

he's more than one piece tall

Sorry to hear that - were you playing on web? Our web build currently has a few bugs that don't appear at all on the desktop versions, which we hope to get fixed post jam. Glad you enjoyed what was there!

Really cute art style and aesthetic! One comment is I wish there was better indication of what platforms you can jump on vs what's a background piece, as that combined with how the jump works made it a little hard to platform sometimes.

using procedural animation for the creature was very cool! Just a note but turns out you can just go to the left of the screen to cheese 90% of obstacles lol

the story and different branching dialogue was great and well written! Loved the final level dialogue in deep space.

The game's art style is so cute! really fit's the cozy vibe well

really smooth gameplay and incredible graphics + audio (especially the voice acting). I would love to see this gameplay with more challenging platforming, or in a full game as something like a metroidvania!

hilarious game, and really cute art!

very silly art

Really cute game! I loved the art and would've loved to see some more puzzles with the final slime combining its use case with other slimes. Maybe something where you can use the floaty slime to make blocks created by the block-slime float up and be used as a bridge :0 ?
It would be cool to see this on web game websites like coolmathgames or somewhere :0

great variety of enemies and attacks!

This may be one of the coolest uses of the theme I've seen in the entire jam! The art and music were super relaxing and fit the aesthetic you were going for perfectly.

overcooked with body parts :0 love the game!

the meat grinder sound effects were a little unnerving in a good way

Thank you for playing our game! It was cool to see how you reacted to everything, and to see that the vibe that we were going for got through! This was made for a gamejam so unfortunately we had a few small, but we're already working on fixing a lot of these bugs and adding new content for a post-jam build!

Following the death of your son, you're blinded by grief, turned to alcoholism.

Enter and confront your broken mind, the monster you see yourself as, and try to find peace.

wasd to move, shift to sprint, mouse to look around, tap on objects with the mouse, esc to pause, and hold left or right mouse to bounce the stick.

also note - the monster appears at the end of the first level and throughout the second level!

NOTE - TRANSITIONING TO THE SECOND LEVEL IS BROKEN ON WEB DUE TO LARGE FILE SIZE OF A VIDEO - PLELASE PLAY ON WINDOWS

there are also some minor spots on both builds where its possible to clip through certain walls, hit esc and restart if this happens and you end up out of bounds. Just not running repeatedly into a wall also avoids this from happening at all hopefully.

Cool game, especially with the leaderboard feature! It would've been great to have a few more levels.

Really good level design! The visual and audio design also perfectly fit the tone of gameplay.

Cool game! The game was incredibly polished, especially with the animations and music making the general game feel great.

Cool game that worked great with the limitation! There was a surprising amount of depth of handling the attacks while pumping the balloon and dealing with upgrades for such a simple game. Sound effects were great.

The soundtrack and art worked amazing for the game! I liked the use of the boomerang for combat, though it would be great if the boomerang could return to the player, and there were a few collision issues I noticed with the boomerang. The use of visual effects like lighting and the attack effects were great!
