nice simple art style. I had a few issues where if there were two of the same color but one of them was colored and one wasn't , not hitting space would take away points

Such a creepy game - this was a fun take on a dating game and using a deckbuilder for the narrative. The multiple endings was really cool! Would love to watch a recording to see the endings I missed. I was a little confused about how you unlock additional cards sometimes - after a certain point despite trying both options for a bunch of the cards, it felt like I was just getting the same exact cards over and over again without unlocking any new conversation topics. Is there anything I was missing?
The graphics for this game were great! I also really liked the variety of different upgrades. I wish there was a bit more variation in the enemies as only fighting the same slime enemies that run towards you gets a bit repetitive - after getting vampirism early on, it became easy to just run at them and mindlessly hit the enemies since the health would be regenerated anyway. Would have loved to see more enemies that could have different behaviors, maybe with slightly more vertical hallways to be able to give enemies extra movement and require the player to be more intentional about their playstyle?
Really cute game! I loved the art and would've loved to see some more puzzles with the final slime combining its use case with other slimes. Maybe something where you can use the floaty slime to make blocks created by the block-slime float up and be used as a bridge :0 ?
It would be cool to see this on web game websites like coolmathgames or somewhere :0
Thank you for playing our game! It was cool to see how you reacted to everything, and to see that the vibe that we were going for got through! This was made for a gamejam so unfortunately we had a few small, but we're already working on fixing a lot of these bugs and adding new content for a post-jam build!
Following the death of your son, you're blinded by grief, turned to alcoholism.
Enter and confront your broken mind, the monster you see yourself as, and try to find peace.
wasd to move, shift to sprint, mouse to look around, tap on objects with the mouse, esc to pause, and hold left or right mouse to bounce the stick.
also note - the monster appears at the end of the first level and throughout the second level!
NOTE - TRANSITIONING TO THE SECOND LEVEL IS BROKEN ON WEB DUE TO LARGE FILE SIZE OF A VIDEO - PLELASE PLAY ON WINDOWS
there are also some minor spots on both builds where its possible to clip through certain walls, hit esc and restart if this happens and you end up out of bounds. Just not running repeatedly into a wall also avoids this from happening at all hopefully.
The soundtrack and art worked amazing for the game! I liked the use of the boomerang for combat, though it would be great if the boomerang could return to the player, and there were a few collision issues I noticed with the boomerang. The use of visual effects like lighting and the attack effects were great!
