Great job implementing the rewind mechanic, it's easy to tell where you're going to rewind to and I like that you can stop in between your rewinding instead of being forced to rewind through your entire recording. The extra "premade" rewindings were really interesting as well. It felt like the character was walking on ice, and I think the running animation lasted too long as well, so precise movements were tough to make. Overall, this is a great submission, well done!
Wow, the puzzles were amazing, and the art and music were perfect for the game. There were some parts where the player felt slippery, like when trying to come to a halt or when moving on the left and right platforms, but overall the game was really fun!
This has to be one of the best submissions in terms of rewind mechanics. It was very imaginative and required a lot of out of the box thinking. Art, music and sound were also very well chosen.
My only complaints concern the gameplay elements. First of all, as many has stated before, deceleration after releasing the left/right buttons was much to weak to the point it became frustrating, right at the beginning of the game, during the "gap skipping" segment. Also, camera movement felt super dizzy, especially during segments in which you had to switch directions often.
Other than that, impressive job!
Thanks for the critique! The camera is something we really struggled with how to fix. It was either zooming out way too far or causing that dizzying effect. And, of course, the slipping is definitely a problem. Thank you so much for your feedback!
Nice art nice idea! only complain i have is the deceleration part. would love to see more control for the player :D Great job!
Awesome platformer puzzler! Only thing I would improve is the slippy movement
Nice aesthetic overall! Like the use of recording movement. I think this is good as it is, but I definitely wouldn't mind seeing an update!
I liked it!
It felt quite nice to have the puzzles click and i really liked the added powers about halfway through the game, solid entry!
the sound, music, animation and art in general its amazing, i love the whole aesthetic, ive seen this similar mechanic on a lot of games of the jam but u managed to make it feel good with the ghostly shadow u left behind while recording, well done! i feel like im stupid or something because i got stuck in like 3rd puzzle/tutorial, i kept falling through the wholes, tried to record moves in between but the movement is a bit sloppy so i couldnt get the handle of it, anyways well done, i would surely play this again with the movement fixed and the solution to that part lol
Thanks for playing! Yeah a lot of people had trouble with the slow deceleration. I'll probably patch that after the jam is over.
(Anybody reading this who doesn't want spoilers for the third puzzle stop reading now)
For the third puzzle, you have to record yourself walking for a long time horizontally, and use that recording to jump the gaps. You have to walk a little bit without recording on each platform to make it all the way.
Really interesting mechanic, very unique. Nice and relaxing music also with great graphics. Only suggestion would be to improve the left/right movement as it feels a bit slidey so hard to be precise which some bits need.
Really good job!

Very creative!

Great job only thing bad i can think of is that the movement system could be snappier. sometimes it feels like the player is walking on ice and also the run animation doesnt stop once you lift your finger. other than that it was a great idea and super fun. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah we've had a bunch of feedback about the slipperiness. We'll probably update it after rating is over to stop faster (which should also make the animation stop too)
I would love to play a full game based on this mechanic 10/10 ;)
Amazing take on the theme
