Nice game where you experience a situation and then you can rewind to fix it once you know what happens. The graphics and sounds are good considering you did all yourself. With some more time I would try to improve the rewind mechanic, not having to start from the beginning again. Overall good game, great job.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have a device called "rewinder 800x" that lets you rewind time to fix things in the future.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I made everything in the game, from scratch.

I like the graphics, the pixel art is great and I like the puzzle solving aspect. I kind of felt annoyed though having to start all the way at the beginning. Maybe a checkpoint or two would be good. I also didn't get the rewind functionality, just seemed like a start over mechanic. Was hoping the rewind would make take me back just a little bit so I can try and save the agent guy.
This game was a great short experience. I think some of the pacing was a bit off(some things happened too fast), but I really liked the old school vibe of this. The pixel art is well done and the little audio track really adds to the games feel. I think this is a solid game but if there were more 5g posts or audio during the beginning sequence it would add more to it. Nice Job with the game!
Your game is very cute (excluding the blond guy who got killed xD).
I've got some trouble to find the 5-G tower even though it was next to the start :'D
And the game's music remains me of good old vibes, so cool ! (Even if it was lightweight)
Good job ! (Feel free to try out our game if you want)
Nice idea but rewinding was just restart and that was really stupid. Also waiting car was annoying
Its a good game! though i did encounter a bug where i could skip linking the rewinder to the 5g tower.
A nice game you have made! My complain is i couldnt understand wat i was doing at the start until i read the description you wrote. It would be good if you could give some tutorials :)
P.S. the dog is too fast :P
Great art and i liked the simple music you made too :)
I liked the concept of rewinding time with foresight to fix things before they happened too.
Ultimately, I agree entirely with what SeminiGames said below; great art, animation, sound, concept; clarity/intuitiveness could be improved upon, as could execution of the theme.
So overall, I thought it was a cool game and concept, just some rough edges :)
Areas of potential improvement:
>More restart points (or a different way to reset/rewind the situation); being able to reset time to about 5 seconds before every scenario would have been much nicer than having to start at the beginning.
>More intuitive hints of what is interactable. Alas, I also got stuck figuring out what to do (not that I can complain too much, my game is also unintuitive haha). At one point I avoided the agent (so that he wouldnt follow me so i could have more time) and walked around the whole level to see if i could find another 5G tower, and since most of the buildings weren't interact-able by the time I got to the shop I just assumed it wasn't interact-able either. Fortunately I came back here and found your comments and figured that part out. But even after reading your comments I couldn't figure out the acid part, i couldn't put the dog treat on the manhole cover because the dog kills the agent before he gets that far, and from what i could tell i couldnt buy multiple of them and lead the dog on a trail to it. That's a long winded way of saying 'give me more hints and i'll happily finish playing your game' :P A potential way to improve in the future would just be a an outline or colour near anything you can touch, which would allow the player to know what to try and what to not bother trying without adding much dev time for you.
>Potentially dont make us have to keep the agent in sight. Since I have lived the future and know what is going to happen to the agent I would think I could leave him while I go and fix the future to work for us :P
Although I'm not sure if this advice is helpful or not, since this is probably stuff you were going to do and just ran out of time (like me haha) during the tight timelines. So instead my advice for next time (hopefully you make another game-jam game cause this was definitely cool!) is to focus on one mechanic that you can repeat a couple of times and use that in creative ways. So for example, rather than being able to push things AND enter a store AND get objects AND drop objects, maybe just allow the character to push things; and then have scenarios where you have to push the man to stop the car; push the dog out of sight/push a cat in its way; push a box to block the manhole. That way its less effort for you, and the player has less abstract thinking to do, they can just focus on 'okay, how can i use my push skill to solve this new problem?'. I think the thing i've learnt from this game-jam is scope management is the most important thing for success in a limited time setting.
Sorry for the super long post, hopefully its helpful in some way. And if it sounds too negative I didn't mean it to be, it's just that i see quite a bit of potential in your idea and liked the work you put in :)
The Good:
- Very cool art, animation and sound - impressive that you made it all from scratch. The menu clicking sound was funny as well
- Cool concept - I liked the idea of messing up, learning what went wrong, then rewinding time to fix the problem only to mess up again on something else
Could improve:
- Clarity - A lot of the times, it is unclear what the player can do. Took me a while to figure out I can enter the shop because I couldn't enter other buildings
- Theme - The idea was there, but it simply just boils down to restarting the level. I suggest adding more towers to teleport to, and an incentive to teleport farther back in time to fix something in the future, like avoiding a murderer killing the agent by preventing the murderer's parents from meeting 30 years back or something (just a vague idea).
Overall:
A cool concept, but a pretty hard game. I got stuck on the acid sewer thing, where the agent kept getting thirsty but every time i moved he would get killed. The potential of this game is high though.
I couldn't pass the dog :( haha but the game looks amazing! Has a lot of potencial, maybe you can add some arrows on the first things to do to kind of educate the player :P But really cool game!
The art looks great and I also like the sound. I wish it was a bit longer because the mechanic worked great!
I liked the fact that you added Checkpoints to the game because i didnt get to S G 2. I failed a lot of times at the first one and then always waiting on that slow agent is quite annoying. There is a bug that when you buy something when you fail the Ui will overlap. I really liked your take on the theme and its really interesting. I dont know you can solve the Checkpoint issue, you can either make the agent faster which will make the game harder or make some more Checkpoints. The Visuals and stuff are great, but i think that is a bit frustrating.
Great game, I wasn't sure what to do with the acid, but I enjoyed playing what I was able to :)
