In what way does your game fit the theme?
The character has to rewind a music tape periodically to keep the music playing. As long as the music is playing the enemies in the level are calm.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes.

I loved the feeling I got rushing to wind the boombox and baiting enemies away so I could get to places, the way you designed the levels, the environment and enemies really fit the concept, great job!!

Very fun game, hope you had fun making it as well!! ^^

Really like the story of the game, love how the player has a nick name associated with his BooMBoX. Amazing work with the shadows in this game adds alot to the creepy vibe, creatures sounds are also very good. (I wish I had them in my game too :D).

I liked the irony as a Luluby music is the last thing BoomBox Mike will play if not to safe his life. Last level was a bit confusing as I though the exit was on the bottom left of the map since the white key opens the door but after some trial and error managed to complete the game. Very well made , everything fits well together. Very highly rated :D

That was amazing! One of the best games I've played in the jam.
The lullaby mechanic is awesome! It creates a really scary gameplay. I think I'm gonna be having nightmares about those monsters with their screeching sounds :D

One suggestion I have is to add  an animation to the tape UI when you're rewinding, this way you know how long you have to  wait till the music is ready.

Developer

Thank you :) That is a good idea with the tape UI.

Really good game! Love the lights and the art, the ambiance is very well made! The movement feels good also the rewind mechanic. The screams make you very nervous (on good way) and the difficulty is on point. I've enjoyed!

Great job!

One of the best games of the Jam so far in my eyes. I really enjoyed your take on the theme and look forward to the full release(if there is). The cry of the monsters was actually scary and the fact that you took rewinding the tape as a theme, really impresses me. I extremely enjoyed this game.

I would really appreciate if you played my game too. It is not as good as yours but still its something.

Liked how you could put the theme of rewind into your game, fit nicely into the setting!

Awesome entry!

Really hard to make a good horror game in a setting like this but you pulled it off. The chases are tense and terrifying, the music contrasts the terror well, the overall setting looks good and I gotta say I do like your post processing as well.

A solid entry if I ever saw one.

I've loved your game:

+ Music perfect for the them and the game

+ I love the arts!

+ Good mouvements and feelings in game

+ It makes me feel fear :)

+ Nice lights and particles

++ It's made in Godot! I love it!!!

- I would have added that the player could decide the time for the rewind of the tape letting pressed the key.

- In some parts it is hard to move as you cannot really see the hallway

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

The parts where you can´t see much are meant as a secret way (enemies cant get in there as well). But I can understand that they might be frustrating to traverse.  (We kinda needed a way to make them difficult too)

"I would have added that the player could decide the time for the rewind of the tape letting pressed the key."

Was mentioned a few times, would have been the better way probably.

This was great and well polished game, loved the lullaby music. graphics were kinda lacking since everything  else was so polished.

Awesome man. This game has an outstanding amount of polish. And the idea is great, fits the theme perfectly and is very original. Also it has an interesting use of music, which is always nice. I love the atmosphere it creates. From what I saw, there's really no flaws to talk about, I think this is a good candidate for a winner

Those lighting effects looked super nicely done, and the visuals overall were amazing. I felt a little confused about where to go on each map and where the exit was, but that also made the creepy monster noises even more scary so great job!
