I like the levels, the rewind system, the trail effect after the player, and the whole idea. Cool game! the only thing I would change is the tutorial that freezes the screen, it's cool, but it happens every time I restart the level. I also didn't know I should press R to rewind and to skip the tutorial messages. Enjoyed it anyway :)

Great game! Especially since it only took you two days to make it. Its gorgeous visuals work great with the music and it fits the theme of the jam nicely.

In case you continue to work on it, here is a little bit of (hopefully) constructive criticism:

The strategy that worked best for me, was to stick to one side and just move in a straight line forward. It made going back extremly easy because i didn't need to remember my path. But it kinda ruined the point of the game and, after that, it was not that fun anymore. Maybe place some obstacles that don't move in the level so that the player has to walk more complex path.

The tutorial text at first made me think the game froze and it was a bit annoying that it showed up every time i respawned.

The controls on the turned passages are a bit confusing.

I hope i don't sound to harsh. But you said in an other comment that you appreciate criticism, that is a sign of true wisdom and i respect that.

Anyway,  i really enjoyed your game and i hope you continue to work on it :)

I'm glad you liked it. Yes I really do appreciate criticism, because even though being praised without criticism makes you feel good about your work, it doesn't really let you know about your flaws and fix them.
My initial plan was to make walls close in gradually until you reach end of the  room but I couldn't find a way to do it for curved walls before deadline.  But fixed obstacles are a good idea too, I'm gonna try to add a different mechanic to each room to add some difficulty curve too.
Thank you so much for playing my game and leaving feedback :->

Btw your game was amazing, I hope you're planning to work on it after the jam. I'd love to play more of it.

I'm sorry to tell you that I was not able to make past the first block because the game just kept freezing and I could not move however the audio was still playing. But it was noteworthy you made it in 2 days.

I'm really sorry.

I hope you would not mind playing my game. I know its asking a bit too much after criticizing your game but I would really appreciate it if you rated my game.

Hey don't worry about it, I'll definitely play your game.
If you press R on dialogues, you skip them and continue. Also at the end of level you need to hold R to rewind time and go back. I need more clear instructions in game.
Also I appreciate criticism even more than positive reviews :D

Thanks for playing anyway <3

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Now I feel dumb. I will certainly try it out again.

good visuals and lights but im having trouble with controls :)

Submitted(+1)

Great visuals and concept.  I like the way you played w the audio too.  The two things that got me stuck on a few occasions was the pausing when dialogue appeared and having to hit R and the control flipping on later levels.  Otherwise I totally dig it!

The Idea is great. The visuals and Audio are pretty good too. But the game isn't refined ( but considering you made this in two days that's amazing on its own). The weird controls in later levels is a major issue though

Interesting idea. I would liked a tutorial to understand what's happening, and some checkpoints would be nice. It's fun to play (and die). Good job for 2 days.

Developer

Thank your for playing! I had to include more hints but just a small explanation:
You basically have to reach the end and hold R to reach the start point (you can't use keyboard to move at this point) and unlock the next room. Also when you're not rewinding time, enemies only move when you're on the same tile as them and moving

Submitted

Yeah! I found it up and reached level 2, after that I died and I discovered that there are no checkpoints 🤣

Great game, especially considering the time constraint (working 2 days and such)!

I would suggest leaving the music playing even while stationary, it gets a little  f u n k y  if the music stops every couple seconds.

Hope you had fun making it! ^^

Thanks for playing. I actually wanted the song to loop to the ending when it reached the beginning of the song but couldn't make it work in time.

Really impressive for only 2 days of work ;)

Really liked the game and the overall idea. I had a few issues though.

1: No tutorial? I know you wrote the instructions on the game page, but the game should be able  to stand by itself.

2:  The direction of WASD controls when the levels rotated was a bit confusing. That may just be me though

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and I really appreciate the fact that you reached the curved levels, I didn't think anyone would play past the first one or two levels :D
I definitely agree with you on both of them but due to shortage of time I couldn't really fix those problems.

Submitted

That’s fair. My game had some issues as well that I didn’t have time to fix

That game was very interesting especially considering you only took the last 2 days. I wish that each level was a checkpoint as if you make the simplest mistakes, you have to go back to the beginning and by then, you just want to get to the next part, so you try and rush through, but then make another silly mistake. (Story of my life :) ) Good job on visuals though!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much for playing, yeah unfortunately my team project fell apart in middle of the jam and I came up with this in the last 2 days, so I had to rush it and didn't have time to add a lot of features I originally had in mind.
I should definitely add a checkpoint mechanic, thanks for suggestion!

Amazing concept! Love the fact you have to beat each level forwards and backwards. Great emphasis on the theme and also keeping it unique. Well done!

Thank you so much!

the game is glitch when the first chat chatalog appears, and then it got stuck so i cant do anything. maybe fix that or tell me what button you need to press to continue the dialouge!

Hope i can play your game,

Peace!

Developer

Hey thanks for playing. You just have to press R once to skip dialogues

The game was vey fun, really liked how you mixed different mechanics of the time only moving when you walk, the movement recording and the rewinding itself. The music and sfx being affected by the movement and the rewinding was a really nice touch.

Nice job, keep it up!!
