Really cool concept, it was kinda hard to grasp it at first tho. it took me a long while to relize you need to type start with uppercase s lmao i had to look here in the comments to figure it out. but still the concept is really nice!

played and rated.. firstly it really REALLY could have done with better instructions, it took me a long time to even figure out how to start the game! I clicked on start, got the message about not using the mouse, typed start but nothing happened, eventually spotted the very small text in the bottom right which showed it was reading my inputs and then eventually realised that Start was case sensitive.. None of that is really a critism of the game though.
After i actually got the game to run though it was a fun little typing game, really nice pixel art style, they typing sound was very inconsistent, seemed to only work on the first letter of a word which made it hard to tell if my inputs were working but thats a small detail.

To be fair, it was only after writing my comment that I had a look at what other people had commented and saw that others had already talked about the issues with the start menu.. i hope you're not disheartened by me repeating the same small issues with what is otherwise a really good effort and a fun game 😁

That's a cute typing game! I always enjoy a nice typing game, so this is very welcoming. I would start by praising the menu being controlled by typing only. In my opinion ALL typing games should do that, so kudos for that. The office looks quite nice, and everything such as font and text matches the theme nicely. Speaking of the text, it's interesting to see a case-sensitive typing game with some really strange words to type, and I was originally thrown off guard by it. That surely increases the difficulty a bit and slows my typing quite a bit. I do have quite some fun and end up playing a second time just to see how fast can I go.
So, for some criticism and suggestions, I'd say you should hint at the case-sensitive nature of the game. At first I thought your game was bugged due to the fact that typing "start" having no effect on the main menu, and I needed to type "Start" instead. The typing sound is quite strange as it only plays after a while not with every keystroke, and it's probably another reason why I originally thought the game was bugged. Last but not least, when I saw you've written "Nothing Can Go Wrong => No Mistakes Allowed" in the rating page, I thought any mistakes would lead to a game over but that's not the case with the game. Not sure if that's a good idea, but it surely sounds challenging.
Anyway, I think you did quite a nice job in this one week. Keep up the good work!

Hello and thank you for such detailed feedback. It's hard to know what works and what doesn't in a game when feedback is limited so every bit counts.
You already got 9th on the leaderboard (which isn't really ninth because time is supposed to be fastest first) so yay! I am glad people are using the board.

Leaderboards were a plugin but I did make a bug around the ordering of the leaderboards though hehe

Took me a while to get this working properly - had to play it on Edge in fullscreen. It's a nice twist on a typing game, I think having the different words in multiple areas adds a nice challenge to it. This is a damning indictment of my typing skills.

Yeah the browser builds are unexpectedly weird for some reason that I don't know of yet.
I have made the game a bit too difficult by mistake so I am sure this game doesn't indicate your typing skills haha.
Really fun typing game! I like that it adds random capital letters to words too to make the difficulty a bit higher too. I was a bit confused by the leaderboard, I felt like the goal should've been to get the lowest time to rank higher on there rather than a higher time. Great work on the game overall tho, I had fun playing it!

Thanks for trying it out. The web version has an issue where after full-screen you have to click on the game to get focus. After that, you need to type where you want to go. So let's say you want to start the game, you have to type "Start" as it's one of the buttons on the screen.
Everything that is interactive is usually typable (baring a few screens). If you have the time to try it one more time I would ask you do so. Thanks.
I hope the key input is better, but anyway, still a cool game with odd concept :3

Nice job! I think I had the same issue the last comment brought up. Other than that, it was really creative, and the little cameo from "AI" in the dialogue made me laugh

Yeah the multiwords thing would be something I should fix in future when I take this game further (which I really should).
Fun game! I really liked needing to type for the menu, that's a fresh twist. Overall it's a really great typing game. One small thing that could be better is when there are two words that start off with the same letters, you might be staring at one of them to type it but the game decides to fill out the other one instead. So there's a moment of "why are my letters not working? Oh, there is another word that started off the same and it's going to that one." One quick solution might be to just count it for both?

Regarding the multi-words thing: it was on my agenda but I just ran out of time cause I wanted to built the leaderboards (which are also broken :)). Ah well, I learn from this.
