Really nice game, but as others already said, there should be some kind of indicator on each animal to tell how much space it needs. This was a lot of trial and error and eventully frustration. If you don't want to show the exact numbers, maybe just have some smiley faces next to each animal which would show how close you are for them to be happy. Eg.:
:-( you are more than 2 squares off
:-| you are 1-2 square off
:-) the size is right

I really don't know what I am supposed to do, the how to doesn't help. I figured you can drag the gossips to the chat window totally by accident. My score was going up regardless of what I did, even when I was doing nothing. Very confusing.

I understand. It's beyond incredible what you were able to fit in that time.

It just really struck me,because I have invested 45 points into wisdom to find out, you don't really neep MP if you set spells on autocast, because as soon as you have enough MP for any spell it gets used up immediately. It's not like the character will save the MP for tough situations. So I really never have more than 40 MP despite the MAX being like 800 or whathever... I am very interested in how you will address this in the next development phase.

Wish you best of luck!

So good. My only problem with it is that the autocasting is not very intelligent and cast AOE spells on single enemy. If I enable autocast on the lower spells, then it casts it constantly and runs out of MP very quickly as the cooldown is too low. The autocast system should be aware of the situation and not cast any spells if not needed, and cast AOE spells only on groups of enemies. Still, it's amazing what you did in such a short time. I am very interested what will it become :-)

Haha, this was harder than Typing Of The Dead :-D What Great entry. Well done!

I dig the art style. The controls were a little too fast for me though. I would either zoom the game out, so the player can see larger area and really enjoy the speed, or slow down a little bit. Haven't played it on a controller, might be better with analog sticks if you can control the movement speed. Really nice entry though.

Hi, actually, the first 3 levels are the tutorial, there's only one real level. Planned on adding more but run out of time, so it is what it is :-) Thanks for playing :-)

Yeah, the speed up option gets requested a lot :-) Thanks for playing!

Really great game and very polished for a jam. I can definitely see you building something bigger on top of this mechanic.

Nice entry. It was just a little hard to control using WASD, would be better on arrow keys. There's really not a reason to use WASD if mouse is not being used. Other than that, great job!

The game is really enjoyable, just seemed like the colliders are a bit unforgiving, I have died in situations I would have expected to be OK. Funny enough, the faster the game goes , the less it becames an issue as the rocks are moving so fast it's hard to jump on them :-) I got to around 9000 points at most and never even had to use the duck, which is disappointing,  because the animation is funny :-) Great job.

Great idea and execution. I played through it. As it was already mentioned, I would be better if you went to other rooms automatically and the door were visible instead of having the player to guess where a door might be.

I really can't figure out what I am supposed to do. Otherwise everything works and looks good, but you should provide some kind of tutorial :-)

Nice entry, although the controls are a bit funky. When running, the player's head is sometimes in front of the camera.

It looks awesome! I wish you created more levels. Please do continue on the game after the jam, I think it has potential. Great work and don't worry about not being able to finish it on time, it's a solid base for a great game. Best of luck.

Wow, wasn't expecting something so polished in the jam. What I found is that unexpectedly, each wave was progressivly easier instead of harder. I have never used the height/weight information. I only used eye and hair color for most of the time, when the blood types were introduced it got a lot easier even. I enjoyed it and played the whole story mode. Didn't encounter any bugs. Great job guys.

Just beautiful! I just wish it was an actual game in there. You could have created some tasks for the player with what you already have, like fixing a fishing rod before he can do fishing, playing the chords in a correct order... with not penalties for not doing so, so nothing could really go wrong.

I really like the idea and the graphics. I just wish it was divided into levels, as since the prince only needs one hit, you get to restart a lot, which gets frustrating, playing the same part over and over. Great job though, I really enjoyed it.

Thank you, the plan was to add more levels and also obstacles, but I ran out of time, so it is what it is  :-(

The PLAY button changes to STOP button when you run the game. Pressing the STOP button will reset the level, but keep your planned actions in the timeline. I guess I could have communicated that more clearly :-)

Nice looking game, I really dig the main menu :-) But, as other's said, the goal is a bit unclear and I didn't know what I am supposed to dig for :-(

Really fun game although I had troubles using the swatter. I enjoyed it anyway, good job!

Really great game,  I ended up finishing it. I can see this becoming a full game release. Great job!

Really great entry into the jam, congrats. I only had some troubles locking the door, like if the cliclable area of the button was smaller than the graphic, but I got it eventually. Also, I have not seen any cogs on the ship monitor UI when something was broken.

Maybe the best entry so far. Really great game, I was kind of sad that you can see the "plot twist" right from the beggining. Using different type of enemies for the first night would make it more of a shocking discovery.  My first instinct was not to kill anybody, but then I was stuck and couldn't go into the inn.

Great entry, a little too hard for me. Reminded me of "Downwell" a little. Good job :-)

I really missed some way to preview the map, it was really tedious to restart every time. Otherwise, job well done, congrats!

Very similar concept to mine, planning in advance how the run will go. I really like the graphics, just wish there was some arrows, so I would not have to remember which way the cube will turn :-) Good job.

I could't figure out what I was supposed to do, I won just by randomly spamming all words, just like the other player. I really like the game though, but it should have been clearer with the instructions. I thought messages like "Fire Hose Urgent" or "Rescue Me Suffocate Send Help" would be clear enough :-)

Thanks for the great feedback. I wanted action music for the running phase of the game, but sadly, I had no time during the weekend so I had to submit the game as it was. Speed up button would be nice, but there really is only one level, if I don't count the tutorials, so I decided it was not needed, maybe wrongly. Thanks for playing!

(1 edit)

Great job on the art, the game looks really great and was fun to play.

One thing though - you really should create an itch.io page for the game and build a browser version, that would get you more reviews in my opinion. Best of luck!

Wow, a really nice game. I really enjoyed playing it. Remineded me of the Typing of the Dead a little :-D I only had a problem with the mouse control as the character kept running into the fire while I was extinguishing it. I think it would be better to use WASD for movement, or stop moving while using the extinghuisher. Otherwise really great entry, congrats!

One of the best entries in the jam so far, really polished game with a great atmosphere. Good job!

I had troubles at first to understand what I am supposed to do, but then I read the description and it was quite fun. Good job.

Thanks, I have finally got the hang of it and it was quite fun. It's really good game but some sort of in-game tutorial is really needed.

Really polished entry, I really enjoyed playing it. I found the 5 minutes a little bit too long, I would make it 2-3 minutes instead.

I really see potential in this game, but I struggled with the dialogs a lot and din't know ho to use them. I really like the premise though.
