I enjoyed the game! It was easy to learn but hard to master. Great work!!!

Fun and challenging!

Very fun game! I saw a comment saying the levels were too easy and I have no idea what they were talking about. This game is really hard! I could see this being quite popular with rage game fans!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing :) Yeah, he was talking about first level and he repeated it over and over again, because I badly setup changing scenes :D It is fixed now :D

This is quite an interesting game. On the one hand the difficulty is quite high. I died a lot during the first three levels (but interestingly 5th tried the final level) and it was just that rage and completionist in me that kept me on. ON the other hand, the game resets so quickly that you are almost directly back into action after you die, so you could just go on and on forever. This really feels like a good recipe for a rage game. I am quite conflicted about what I think about your game, but I generally like it quite a lot!

For some criticism, I'd say that with proper art and sound, the game would feel much better and would be much attractive to players. I think some strong and quick electronic music would fit nicely, though probably find some of that music with an asian twist. I also think the character is a bit floaty, and it's quite difficult to make minor adjustments in the air.

Anyway, this is a nice entry! Good job!

Thank you for our constructive review and playing my game. I am happy you kind of liked it :D

And you are right about music. I should have looked more for a better song, because I have a lot of ready to use music from tons of bundles. And with art, it was my proper first time using Aseprite in my project and I am bad at drawing :D Next time I will try different approach for movement.

Amazing game. This could be a really fun game to speedrun. The side to side motion feels a little floaty, and being able to hover in place does slow the pacing down a little. I would love to try out more levels.

Developer

Thank you, I was playing with an idea of making a timer for it. And you are right with floaty movement, next time I will try different approach to movement :) Thank you for playing my game :)

I was locked in trying to beat this game and it took me tooo many attempts haha, unforgiving gameplay but that made it more fun imo! I did have a lil bug where if you go up into a platform without spikes I'd still die but aside from that I enjoyed this! Well done!

Developer

Thank you, that was my plan to make it a little bit unforgiving. I am glad you had fun playing my game :)

The platform without spikes can also kill you, you can only destroy it, if you increase your gravity. I should have specified it in tutorial, thank you :)

This is a nice little twist on the genre.

This was great! Just the right amount of difficulty for me. I got through all 4 levels after a couple tries each. Would be very interested in playing more.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I wanted to more levels with better scaling in difficulty, but  I underestimated how long the animations of intro and end will take :D Also I was trying to make an endless level for almost a whole day and it was buggy and weird, so I threw it away.

Great entry, a little too hard for me. Reminded me of "Downwell" a little. Good job :-)

Developer

Thanks for comment. Yeah I probably made it a little too hard. Maybe it is bad level desing or you have to be more patience, like your Master teach you :D

This is such an amazing game!!

And your first, Youve done an amazing job! Congrats on its completion

Critique:

- For going up, maybe W wouldve been better instead of space?

- I get that the slippery left to right movement is intentional, but felt too slippery

- The artstyle is amazing, great job with that

- The sound design was on point! loved the music

In all a great entry!! Keep it up :D

Developer

Thank you for you comment.

Yeah you are right, using W is 100% better, Thanks for tip!

Slippery movement is intentional. However, you're right, i should tweak it a little bit to make it less slippery.

Thanks. It was actually my proper first time using Aseprite :D First idea was to create a pixelated block, but I did a person :D

I got a lot of SFX and music from Humble bundle during last year.... The background music during levels is Bobby from I need Music (https://ineedmusic.co/products/8-bit-music-pack?_pos=1&_sid=a708945ce&_ss=r )

Thank you very much for your comment and time. I really appreciate it :)
