Pretty cool concept. The controls did feel a little janky, and I couldn't scroll on the phone screen after the first night. The texts on the phone also stayed the same for every night for me. Somehow, the game made me play "2 days before skydiving" twice lol. The low-poly style was quite cool tho, and the audio was decent. Overall, lots of room for improvement!

Hmmm... I think I'm stuck? I'm at this page for quite some time and nothing i press seems to work...
For the starting scene, with the phones, I think will be better if you controls the person view and phone text, so they automatically check the phone screen. I am still not very sure how to scroll the mobile text screen, I was able to scroll the text using the mouse wheel on the first night, but failed to do it for the second night. Maybe it will be better to do auto scroll.
Overall, the game looks promising, and can see the direction you are trying to make. Let me known when you have fixed the bugs post-jam and I will play again.
Mamamia, what have we caught here..
Took u long enough (jk lol)
I dont think that has happened to me yet, idk bout others but nobody reported this. Tbh idk why its stuck there, I tried it a few times but couldnt reproduce it.
For the phone part, I wanted the player to be able to look around and as the days passed, the room would have small changes signifying the increase in anxiety. But as almost everything.. I couldnt add that in time xD
For the scroll part, again. I got no idea why that issue came, in the engine it seemed to work completely fine but after publishing I did notice that myself. Tip: u can click and drag the scroll bar instead
Also, I did want to add a Quality of life thing that the chat would auto scroll until the player dragged it up, but again :) I couldnt add that in time
I kinda did but it felt clunky so I just removed it for the time being
I definitely plan to finish this sooner or later. Would love some feedback whenever the finished game releases
Thanks for trying the game out, really appreciate the honest feedback! :D
This is an interesting idea with some great visuals! I also like the story of someone suffering from anxiety in their nightmares before a trip with their friends. It could make for a fun game with full mechanics and some polishing up of the gameplay!
Very nice game! I would better continue suffering from anxiety in your game than in real life ahah 😄
Are you planning to finish it?
Quite nice idea you have here! Good tackle on the theme of the jam and its sad that you couldn't finish it on time, but I hope you come back to this project latter!
I love games with a little story so that was quite interesting while it lasted. Too bad you didn't get to finish it! Would love to see the finished version some day.
Hey, no worries! I'm sure whatever you make next will be great. Even if you didn't finish this one, you managed to capture the feeling of anxiety about an upcoming challenge quite well. I believe art is all about capturing a feeling and allowing others to experience it through your creation, and you certainly managed that!
The idea is so interesting, I really like the way you went about the theme! Not sure if you planned the game to have a definite ending, but personally the suspence of not knowing whether it will actually go wrong or not is actually really fitting :]
The visuals were good too, I liked how you went about the transitions between days. I hope you'll manage to finish it one day, because it's a promising project!
Thanks for the comment! :D
It WAS supposed to have an ending
Im just gonna say that in the final level you and your friend would actually skydive..
Ive started to rework on things that i did haphazardly due to time constraints.
I really plan to complete it as soon as possible
Thanks again for giving it a try :)
Hello.
What a nice game. I love the visuals and the bedroom is pretty decorated.
However, I don't know if I did something wrong, but I was stuck at day 2 on repeat. Also collecting some point, where you have to skydive would be nice. I like the sound of the wind, but I think you should implement more sfx in bedroom or some background music. Also the setting for volume would be nice :D The wind almost tear my ears - But maybe it's a feature :D
And yeah, you should try to finish it. It is nice feeling, when its done :)
Hey!
Thanks for the review and feedback
And no, it was not your fault, the games just that buggy xD. You were supposed to see a screen after that said something like "Hey, this was all I could make, sry :D"
I did want to add the points mechanic, thats what the rings would be used for. But just messed everything up lol
And im sorry for blowing up your ears too xD. It was definitely not intentional (but funny)
Ill def try to finish it and post newer versions after the jam ends :D
Do try them if you are interested
Thanks again for the review! I really appreciate the positive words :)
Short, but enjoyable experience! My first jump honestly got me feeling anxious. I would feel sick if this was a VR game dear lord. (Terrified of heights) Great job! Definitely should finish the project for sure. :)
Nice game! It did lag a bit at the start but thats fine! The sudden onset of audio while skydiving was also jarring but still good game!
Summary: I love the implementation of the story into the game. The transitions of the scenes through was well done. Would love to circle back to see the finished product. Sound design well done.
What i'd like to see:
- More interactions on the phone maybe different apps to interact.
- dream journal.
- cute little google search of how to skydive.
- other things to set the mood, maybe being able to walk around around the room before you go to sleep.
- calendar system for other anxiety-like events.
What should improve:
- Improved indication that the player is going to sleep.
- Parachute UI 'Q' to pull indication seemed to need more polish.
hey, really appreciate the feedback :D
I did infact want more "stuff" to be interactable in the home scene, but just ran out of time. I just took too much for me to handle lol
I had the idea of other apps like a calender to show progress and even cycle through levels.
But the google search idea is a really good idea
I wanted to add things that would show the character's anxiety increasing as u go through levels but all I managed for a "tips" book on the table
Another detail that I dont think ppl noticed (cuz I didnt implement it well xD): For the first day chat, they talk about bungee jumping (Throwing the character off the click) and the character mentions how he still has a photo frame of it, u can actually see the photo in the cupboard on the right
I am planning to work on this game further, Ill update the page with the post jam version
Thanks again for taking the time to provide feedback, really appreciated! :D
Awesome attempt at this game for the jam! Thanks for submitting this! <3
Hope you learnt a bunch of stuff, and ofcourse keep making games! :]
