How does the game fit the theme?
The story is about a machine meant to make the protagonist rich, but things go wrong as the machine goes haywire and the characters try to shut it off.
You've received some messages from an old friend, Dyke. He tells you that you were wrong to leave him, and his invention will make you both rich. He tells you this while also telling you to read the news, where you realize the Gear prices have shot up into the millions.
Seeing this you visit Dyke to confirm his claims about getting rich quick. When you meet Dyke, you're confronted with a massive machine that supposedly attracted gears from across space. He turns it on to show you it's magic and seeing it work you get your spaceship to go collect as many gears as you can, what could possibly go wrong...
While collecting these gears, you realize the machine pulls gears, no matter where they are, that includes those inside asteroids as well. And ofcourse, Dyke being Dyke, he forgot to make the OFF switch.
Your job is to ensure nothing goes wrong while Dyke tries to figure out how to shut off the machine. Here's hoping you can survive and collect enough gears for the wealth of many lifetimes.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Awesome! Really fun game with a great art style.
Love it!! Took me a bit to understand how the movement works, but once I did it kept me hooked for a while, very fun. Cool upgrade system, and great artstyle, reminded me of Downwell.
Very nice! being pulled back in everytime you leave the ring is really cool and the game is very enjoyable!
Nice to hear it's cool xD!
Happy to hear ya enjoyed it bud! <3
Thanks a ton for playin! (^▽^)
I like the graphics of game
Gameplay is easy to understand, upgrade system is integrated simply, straightforward.
but i found the controller a bit hard to learn, the movement is a bit strange for me.
btw, Good work!
If it had audio it would be a 10/10!
╥﹏╥ Dang, I was so close to implementing it too*
Well glad to hear it's that close :'] thank you for your kind words and for playing! x) <3
Fun and cute, got a final score of 260. I tried to constantly get multi-shot so every shot was a barrage of projectiles but alas it was my down fall XD. Its a bit void without sound effects or music and the controls of the ship are a little bouncy. I would recommend making the ship face where the cursor is so that your looking where your shooting and/or to make the ship less feel like its on ice *giving the ship inertia dampeners would be cool ;)*
Fun! Very unusual and interesting way of moving, I could sort of get used to it after a while. Loved that you had a whole dang powerup system in there, feels very well thought out and designed. Art is top notch too!
A fun little game about collecting gears while being pulled by a powerful magnetic machine! The movement is quite unique and takes a while to get used to, but it really adds to the challenge and overall enjoyment of the game
The gameplay is simple but works really well, you collect gears, avoid asteroids, and get upgrades!
Overall great job!
Couldn't have described it any better :'] *
You'd write a much better game design document than I have for this clearly xD
Thank you so much for playing my game! Glad to hear you enjoyed it too! <3
Cool game, this is a good challenge
I love the way the ship is totally unpredictable
nice game !
Appreciate it! x]
Thanks for playin friendo! <3
Very nice art style. It's a little hard to control at times, but it's an interesting movement idea!
Thank you! <3
"An interesting movement idea" is exactly how I felt when I came up with it xD!
Wow, i was surprised by the controls at first, but after getting a hang of it, it is really fun!!!
:'] Makes me really happy to hear it becomes fun! <3
Thanks a bunch for playin buddo! :]
Very fun game once you get the hang of the controls. Very nice art as well!
Thanks a bunch buddo! <3
:] Neat to hear it was fun!
A very fun game!
Also stellar visuals!
(Also, bug: When I restarted the game, I noticed that the numbers on the upgrade screen did not go down to zero again. I also don't think they went over 2. It was not an issue but thought you should know!)
Eyyy, thank you! *u*
Nice catch on that! It's not a bug, it's a feature ;] especially for people who found the first playthrough a bit unmanageable x]!
(and about them not going over 2, its meant to be a 3 upgrade system for each one (because anything higher than that would be too overpowered for a single upgrade xD) )
Thank you for bringing it to my attention tho! (≧▽≦)
Movement is very janky, like probably would be better instead to make it without rotating and instead just go with more straight forward option of just moving character in direction of WASD press and just rotate ship depending on normalized direction. Also some sort of safeguard for upgrade window should be added, or at least a bit of delay before you can press upgrade buttons. 2 out of 3 times I pressed it bu accident. Other than that it's amazing game. And you get almost everywhere minus audio 5 stars from me.
Fair enough, I see, I see. *notes things down*
Will take that into account! :]
Thank you so much for taking the time to give that feedback buddo! I appreciate it a ton! <3
Yh, can't do much about the audio xD simply didn't have enough time with the burnout.
The movement was floaty at first but got the hang of it! Liked all the visuals and everything, if it had audio it would be awesome! and yea the power ups could be better if they didnt show up immediately in the middle of the screen, perhaps if it was off to the side or had a confirm button
You make a great point! (^^)b
Another thing to note down into my list!
Thank you so much for playing amigo! I appreciate it! <3

I really like the gameplay loop and the visuals! Accidently picked wrong power ups quite few times just because it pops up in the middle of the screen... Overall the game has potential, but need some balance tweaks and maybe some alternative points of interests.
Thanks for the feedback, *notes it down* adding a confirm button ought to help the situation hopefully!
I'll add it first thing after the jam finishes, seeing how many people had that issue :'] * and adding more content shouldn't be too bad so will do that too :] !
Thank you for playing the game (^ω^)!
Another way to deal with accidental clicks is to add a slight delay before the upgrades can be interacted with. It's less clunky than a confirm dialogue. You'll have to tweak the delay length though to avoid it feeling unresponsive instead.
Congrats on the submission, loved the visuals!
It was a lot of fun! I was confused about my movements until I realized that's gravity pulling back into the circle. Nice gameplay, and the upgrades worked well.
Eyy! Neat that ya figured it out! :]
Makes me happy that you liked it as well! (^▽^)
Thank you for playing bud! ´・ᴗ・`
I found the gameplay loop quite fun. For example, I liked how challenging it was dodging all the asteroid later on in the game. But, this game could have been better if any sound was implemented into the game, as I really didn't hear any sound through my playthrough.
Honestly, yep, I simply got burnt out from doing 2 jams in a row ╥﹏╥ ....
Thank you for playing! <3
Will be sure to add sound later though! (つ﹏⊂)
Nice little intro cinematic. I didn’t realize there were upgrades at first because I kept accidentally left clicking to shoot when the upgrade window opened lol
I really need to change the controls to say "Hold to shoot" :']
Apologies for the inconvenience! But I hope you enjoyed it :]!
Thank you for playing amigo! ^w^
I like the DA and the gameplay, too bad there is no sound
Thank you for playing! <3
Will be sure to add sound after the gamejam finishes! x]
