How does the game fit the theme?
You're working a dead-end job doing the same thing over and over.
Square blocks go into square sockets, and round blocks go into round sockets. The monotony would drive you insane.
At this point you would want to have SOMETHING go wrong.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

First person character controller is a prefab from Godot Asset Library.

Neat game. I liked the mix of mechanical and fleshy bits. Made the atmosphere cool and a bit creepy.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
No problem man :)
Very cool and creepy atmosphere! I really liked that the notes and new objects had a considerable time between them, it made me sit and stare at the hole with anticipation every time I put in the object and getting really excited whenever something new came out. The revelation for what the strange objects you had been collecting was used for was also quite cool!
One small problem I had when playing the web version was that the game did not capture my mouse again after tabbing to another application which meant I had to restart the game.
I'm sorry for the hiccups you might have experienced, web builds still remain a challenge to me.
Thank you for playing!
Awesome game. I love how crazy weird it is. I was really intrigued by what on Earth I was doing and why my job was putting these cubes and cylinders into this machine. The final area you go down to at the end is super cool too. I would've liked there to be a bit more to the gameplay is I think my only critique of the game. Awesome job, this is so cool and weird I loved it!
Thank you! I'll definitely try to put more emphasis on gameplay in my next project.
Very nice aesthetic. Creepy
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the visuals!
I escaped! I think? Made it to a very strange place at least. I'd love to see more of that story! Really well done!
Yep, that's the end of the game. Thank you for playing and for leaving feedback!
Great aesthetic. I think I need another note to tell me what to do with this thing I built
Thank you for playing! I'm really glad you liked the looks of the game!
The anticipation of what's gonna fall through the chute next kept me going, which I suppose, is a metaphor for what keeps an accountant going? Haha! You nailed the theme perfectly, and I think this is the most polished 3D game made in Godot that I've seen in this jam so far. I half expected some entity to crawl out of the creepy TV. Relieved that didn't happen XD. Very well done, I enjoyed this, good luck!
Damn I should've made something crawl out of it.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
I really like this game! It reminds me of Mouthwashing a bit... I love it.
Thank you! I appreciate the comparison!
I genuinely, really enjoyed this. I managed to clip through the ground when you throw the first part into the little meat thing on the right of the machine, and apparently if you happen to remove the square or the cylinder from the thing when it's about to suck it in it crashes the game.
I still wanted to complete it though, so I did. I love the vibe and it's really tapping into some cosmic horror deal that's simply unexplained. You've set up a really neat universe and this would be something I'd be interested in seeing a full version of.
I would love to make music for this if you ever make an expansion on this, or if you have any other games planned that are in this style I would be delighted to provide music and sound effects.
First I want to say that I've played both Pending Approval and now Endless Life, and soundtrack in both of these games is simply stellar. I would love to collaborate on a next jam with you, possibly on another horror-related title?
Regarding the bug: now I feel dumb for not even considering that player might take the block out immediately after inserting. And it would've been a very simple fix too. Thank you for pointing this out!
As to the universe and unexplained things, it's very easy to create unexplained mysteries in fiction, I believe. But it's also very hard to come up with satisfying explanations, and many times the presence of explanation itself will ruin the mystery. In this case, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell this, but there wasn't any kind of universe set up in my head when I was doing this. It's all much more simple, and mostly has to do with me venting frustrations about my current day job of 11 years :)
Thank you for playing the game and for the feedback!
Thank you so much! I appreciate that a lot. I would be very interested in collaborating in the future, another horror based jam would be fun! I'm not sure if you're in the Brackeys Discord server, but I have my email on my profile if you'd like to start there!
The bugs weren't so big of an issue, and I only accidentally pulled the square out of the hole so I might have accidentally done it frame perfect or something? Either way, simple fixes as you said.
Whether there was a universe or not, it gave me the illusion of something more to it, which is honestly more impressive to me. Your frustrations with your circumstance shined through here, and I think that might have been what drawn me to this project. Very well done all around. Let's get in contact for future projects!
Awesome vibe, love the grittiness and cool dystopian designs of the machines. It's like real accounting!
Nice work!
Thank you! I appreciate the complement for the designs, I actually struggled to come up with something that wouldn't look too out of place, I'm much better at modeling mundane real-world stuff.
Very spooky
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the atmosphere!
I really love the idea and the aesthetic of this game. It seems it has a lot of lore behind which i quite like. Well done!
Thank you for playing!
Regarding the lore, I'm afraid there isn't actually any, just a bunch of hurried in-the-moment decisions. But it's pretty amusing if it actually seems that way.
Very unnerving! All the sound effects were spot on. I will hear that slurping in my ear for a while now lol
Also, that sludge dispenser tho
Thank you! Funnily, at least 2 sound effects in the game are actually coffee related. The slurping sound I took from pixabay and its name was "coffee slurp", and the sound of the machine working when the blocks slide in is the sound of a working coffee machine.
haha love it
doing my "job" was a really organic way to space out the game content, my heartrate was up by the end
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!
weird and cool
Weird is what I was going for, so thank you a lot!
what a creepy but cool game, so this is what an accountants office is like
I've heard a friend describe the job and this is what he described.
Thank you for playing!
Well that was interesting. I wanna be an accountant when I grow up now!
Yeah, about that, you see, depiction in the game might not be actually 100% true to life...
Thank you for playing!
This is exactly what I imagined accounting to be like!
That's a very loose depiction, don't take my interpretation at face value :)
Thank you for playing!
Try Tomb Keeper, a beautiful game that I made in just two days and is worth a try:

I will, thank you for sharing!
Edit: I'm sorry, but Itch.io says the page is quarantined. Unfortunately I won't be able to test it at the time, I apologize.
Loved the how mysterious it was , the atmosphere was amazing !
Great job : )
Thank you for playing and for your feedback!
