Thank you thank you! We put a lot of time and effort into making it look as good as possible.

Thanks for playing!

What if we toned it up even more as a hard mode? That could be an idea...

Thanks for the feedback! Would have loved to have cleaner movement but sadly ran out of time.

Yeah the character definitely needs to chill out a bit haha. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback and playing! We will be sure to tighten them up in the future :)

Ty for playing :)

This is my boi Champ 4. Sadly couldn't keep him alive :(

The bath part reminds me of Webkinz

Well put together and executed!

I was able to get the camera to do dis hehe

Cute Game! Would be fun with some tunes. Definitely has that addictive quality to it.

Cool copy of plants versus zombies! Love me some fungus. Took a bit to figure out how to play but once we got it was ez pz.

The different buttons for the different limbs was very creative! also love the name. can't wait for octo mama 2.

I tried soooooooo hard to beat your game, but your game beat me.
Controls could use some polishing just like ours haha.

Great name! Cheers.

Found this cool place also :)

This made me chuckle haha. Great work!

Thanks for playing! We hope that after the movement is fixed the difficulty gets easier. Tough to balance the visibility when the player jumping is a bit janky haha.

Thank you thank you! great advice and I love that you can see the potential after we polish up some of the gameplay mechanics.

Yeah great feedback! Next time sound or a backtrack will be a focus for sure. Loved the sound in your game!

Yeah the movement is a little fast. I'd be impressed if you nailed it haha. Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much for this tip! Life saver haha.

Thanks for playing!  We definitely want to try to add some polish after the Jam and your feedback is really encouraging :)

What a fun experience! Absolutely nailed the lizard jokes.

My badge of honour.

the vibe was great and the art was so cool! A cool thematic concept.  The dialogue repeats itself every time you're caught. I would have liked an option to skip but great overall!

loved the idea! it's super creative and I'm sure this could have so many different uses. I wish our movement felt that tight :(

Visuals were great! Wish I was better at puzzle games lol.

Didn't work in my browser :(

Amazing game! That ending was truly something...

This made me chuckle lol

Cool idea! Great job submitting a game in such a short timeframe, especially if you were considering quitting :) Sticking it out and pulling through is what game jams are all about and you should be proud of what you accomplished.
Just a life tip, sometimes less is more.
Trimming down the features and focusing on polishing what you have can be less stressful and lead to better quality overall.
Great Work!

Made it to level 10 :)
It would be awesome if there was a tutorial at the beginning to explain what all of the different upgrades and people do instead of giving it to the player all at once. Adding in some visuals to the plant to show off its growth would also be a nice touch (maybe the plant starts small and then grows bigger.). The artwork is great so would love to see more of it.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it! Fun experience and I could see it being easily expanded upon. Great work

Cool Game! Cave exploring definitely fits the theme and I love how you repeatedly warn the player to turn back but it is too enticing to keep going in. I got the car ending right away because I had a hunch that was the right thing to do lol.

When I got to the end, I was hoping that there was just something more to make it worth going in. Other similar games that tell you not do too something reward the player for doing the opposite ("Stanley Parable" and "There is no Game" for example). A little more detail there would have been the icing on the cake. Great work!

What a fantastic way of describing my game, thank you for taking the time to play it and reply!
The concept / gameplay may be a little unintuitive, but I really wanted to capture what it would feel like to stumble around completely blind and let the player's imagination run wild. From the description of your experience, I think that you perfectly picked up on what I was aiming for.
Cheers, you made my day :)

haha love it

Great Spooks!
Running to submit the game before the deadline no matter what was super relatable lol
Sorry evil Brackeys, I've got a game to submit.

Very unnerving! All the sound effects were spot on. I will hear that slurping in my ear for a while now lol

Also, that sludge dispenser tho

The red spider lights in the Jungle make me think of Helldivers 2. Great work!

Only since you asked :)
I'll piggy back on what Cinetic said about visual feedback for my game. The vibes of your game are immaculate and I like the idea of growing the flowers to attack the spiders. Adding in some type of indicator to say how damaged the spiders are would make the flower damage seem more impactful. Adding in a way to change which flower you plant and giving them different levels of damage or abilities could be cool too. So yeah, just adding more "juice" to the combat.

Bonus tip from a noob.
Super simple tweak: Just in case it isn't something you know, you could mess around with the tiling dimensions on the ground texture to make it look less tiled.

Thanks for playing! maybe a lot of polish in some places haha

Great ideas, thanks for the feedback! This was my first time participating in a game jam so I'm still figuring things out. I'll try to remember your tips for next time.

Spooks: 10/10, Cutscene: 10/10, Gas Left: 0

Cool game! The movement was a little janky but it was unique and I think that is what added to the spoop. Loved the sexy hog at the end lol.

Also this <3

Great atmosphere! I can see where you were going and what you have is pretty polished :)
