I really like the visuals of the game! I did a similar 2D art style in a 3D space for my game!
i love the art and theme but i know why the webgl sound dont work change the version of unity to 2019 version
Thanks for the feedback! Will try downgrading the project to the 2019.4 version of Unity.
Wow, this is almost a complete game. It's well polished, has good sound and music, has progression, has an options menu, has skins, features a leaderboard, it saves your skins you've unlock, and it's quite visually appealing. I'm really impressed that this was completed in just 7 days. Well done.
The only issues I can come up with is that it's sometimes hard to tell which tile certain items are in. If you get stuck without any torches with some enemies, you just have to wait as they slowly whittle down your health in order to kill you. Finally, there isn't much to give inevitability in the game other than food becoming less and less effective. Being able to fully heal after each level makes it really hard to die if you just rush through avoiding all enemies (which are very difficult to kill and give almost no reward for being killed). Also, it would be nice to be able to turn in place.
I didn't mean to give a full paragraph of criticism. I suppose I'm treating this game like it's a full release because it is that kind of quality. Amazing job with this game.
I liked this and the music did kind of remind me of Danny Elfmans Batman Score for Tim Burton in places haha but overall a fun little game
I loved the overall atmosphere of the game. How the music changed dependind on the level and how you managed to set one for each was a nice touch. However, I think there might be a need to balance the combat. As food ran out fast, it was easier to just avoid the monsters instead of fighting them without a significant reward.
Criticism - During my playthrough due to the player's squishyness and fast loss of food, I tended to avoid combat altogether. I think the combat is an interesting part of the game, but it could use some incentive to stay and fight rather than run away.
Support - The whole atmosphere of the game was amazing with how the music, sounds, and visuals all came together to create a polished experience.
I like the puzzle element of being on a grid. I started by trying to kill all the enemies but quickly ran out of torches, it was much easier to avoid everything collect the stars and head for the exit. I do like the ability to upgrade at the end of the level, nice touch. The movement of the player could be faster I think also.
Thanks for trying out the game! The speed of the player depends on how many torches you have. The less torches you have - the faster you are ;)
Ah I see, I didn't notice that, I had no torches quite a lot of the time and I still felt it could be a little faster :)
I like the gameplay and graphics.
Wow, very cool game! Really enjoyed the art style a lot. You did an awesome job with the lighting and overall feel of the game. Had a good time playing this one. Good work!
Would appreciate you checking out my game too!
Great game! Really digging the 2.5D aesthetic. Also props for adding a leaderboard. Did you use an out of the box solution for that? Would you mind sharing?

another good one here, fun and well made
Felt like a full fledged game tbh, just needed a boss fight as a skill check
Thanks for the feedback! There are enemies with special abilities that can randomly appear at the corners of the map 👀
Heh, I'll have to go back in and challenge myself then ^^
Really liked the 2d sprites in a 3d world visuals and I am impressed you were able to make a roguelike in such a short amount of time. Great job!
Really cool concept dude, the aesthetic of the game is really unique, the upgrades system is a bit dull but i still like it, but i see a big problem with this game and it's that there's no reason to fight the enemies, i ignored most of the enemies, go straight forward to the door and i achieved level 26. But overall it's a great job.
Yo! Thanks for the feedback! Enemies have a chance to drop keys for skins when you burn them to death, and they can also collect stars and drop them on death, but besides that - they’re pretty pointless to kill right now. I want to increase the quantity of enemies as you progress through levels.
Cool concept for a camera angle! I found it was a bit awkward to move towards the camera until I read your instructions. Holding down ctrl made it much easier to navigate.
Very cool visuals, i like the pixel art combined with a 3d world. In the early levels you dont really have to do any combat because you can just skip past the monsters, but then i got to the ice levels and it got harder. Overall good job on the game :)
I really enjoyed the visuals of this game. I think it was a good choice with the camera angle too. You used the different stats very well to meet the less is more theme. It had some cool polish aspects too with scene transitions, UI animations and cool lighting. Very well done!
Good solid game, fun to play! I love pixel art in 3d and music!
I really loved the pixel art in 3D, Great choice!! I liked that you gave many controls with the theme 'less is more' like hunger would decrease my speed and then the same with torch and health. There is still room for improvement but it's perfect for a game jam. Great work!! Also, I would be really thankful if you can play and rate my game too :-)
Thanks for the feedback! Definitely will check out your game asap!
