sick.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! I will make an effort for levels to feel more cohesive in the future ^^

Woah, that's pretty fast! Be on the lookout for the post-jam patch :)

P.S : I have some friends who were trying to speed run the game too, maybe I can set something up on the itch page!

Thank you for the play! I hope you find the wall jump and camera less annoying in the future ^^

Thank you! What exactly do you mean?

Thank you for the play! ^^

Thank you for the play and feedback! On the point of the camera moving with rotating platforms, I did want to make it the camera's movement independent from the character but unfortunately did not have time to do so. Wall Jumping should be easier and I've addressed that in a post-jam patch, but will admit, did not occur to me during the week of making.

Thank you so much again for the CC! :)

Concept was pretty cool, game really shined in the last two levels where you had to think a bit creatively. Nice :)

Thank you for such detailed feedback (and a video? *gasp*)! The theme was meant to be applied through minimal design and the fact levels are copies of each other with less geometry. I will admit I lost sight of the theme at some point though...

As for performance, I unfortunately did not have time to optimize or put in graphics settings, but all that is ready for a post-jam update so everyone can enjoy. :)

Thank you again for the comment!

Thank you for playing and enjoying! Yes, the theme was applied through its minimal design, but also through the fact that the second half of the game is just the same levels from the first, but with “less” geometry.

Thank you again for the play and praise, it means a lot!

Thank you for playing! Yes you're right, I took my favorite parts from different games and combined them, but still tried to keep some originality as well :) There will be a post-jam update so look out!

I loved the artstyle and concept of the core gameplay! I think improving the AI and adding environmental interaction would've elevated the game, but for now its a nice stealth game :)

Heh, I'll have to go back in and challenge myself then ^^

Really, REALLY fun! I saw that the dev wants to make it level-based, and I think that would really elevate it to the next step.

You definitely did a lot with so little, it's amazing how much atmosphere and gameplay you were able to fit in! I intuitively knew everything too, so amazing use of sound and color there. Just great work overall.

Maybe it's just me, but I wish enemies lost sight of you after awhile. I wanted to go stealthy but always ended up being caught and having to restart.

Other than that, the art and music is pretty boppin and stealth kills are very satisfying.

Felt like a full fledged game tbh, just needed a boss fight as a skill check

A complete focus on its core bullet-hell gameplay with the unique stat tradeoff mechanic makes this probably one of the best themed games here (it also has skins, but, who doesn't like skins?). Honestly really addicting!

Cool game, at first the premise seemed a bit simple but it quickly became a time trial puzzle! Definitely makes you think creatively :)

Ahhh thanks for all the kind words! I'll be sure to give your game a play! :)

I'd appreciate it so much! https://itch.io/jam/blackthornprod-game-jam-3/rate/892080

I wish there was more than one boss!

Cool little dungeon crawler with single-use items. I think the final boss could've been a bit more engaging with maybe 1 or 2 more mechanics, but otherwise was solid.

A nice short game, has a lot of potential. Basically agree with the other comments on what to build on, but not bad!

I love the flat artstyle! The idea of not being greedy is neat, could be explored more

I also had the problem where I couldn't move to meet the boss :(

I really want to finish your game! It's addicting lol

Thank you for playing, and for noticing the subtractive design :)

Thank you for the praise! I'm glad you like the movement, I spent a majority of my prototyping on it :)

I'd appreciate it so much!

Thank you for the rating! The connection to the theme was it's minimal design, focused solely on just platforming backdropped by simple music and narrative. You also return to your levels, but with less geometry, thereby making them more difficult. But you are also armed with developed skills and knowledge of the mechanics and levels.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you got to experience my game ^^

I'd like to see that :) I think my personal best was around 20 min when play testing myself

I definitely did not expect to play a visual novel/beat game in this jam, let alone enjoy it so much!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll include that in a post-jam patch! I think my playtesters will agree with you that some parts of the game are rather difficult haha

I like tradeoffs in player choice, and your design has a good tradeoff! The hitboxes are quite precise and unforgiving, making it just the right amount of challenging.

I agree some music would greatly help this game :)

Pretty difficult without checkpoints, but a solid platformer nonetheless!
