I definitely feel that you had more you wanted to do with the concept but ran out of time. The gameplay is functional but too basic.

What was there was well polished and the art was nice. Not a bad game at all

Great game, gameplay was simple but very fun, and those sound effects were amazing.  Nice work!

I think I did something wrong! oops

Not expecting playing as a dealer and throw cards at visitors but it's funny hit 10's streak right after previous, game even gets harder after first several hands

Amazing job

The topic is well met! Good game. I just feel it is a pity that the eleborated ai to find the winning hand has no use for the game what so ever.

Maybe the number of rounds you play could depend on how skillful you deal the cards? That could be fun, what do you think?

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, you are right the game play needs some tweaks/upgrades and maybe an endless mode might be good.  Since I have plans to expand abit on this game, I will see if I can add something in that style, or a time Challenge. thanks again.

verry cool game! loved the idea it fits the jam very well!

Love the idea, I second all people who said it would be cool if you had to determine the outcome of each hand as well. You might even have the player count the chips, declare the bet out loud and ensure people at the table respect the min bet. It would become a simulator but I doubt people who don't like poker would play it anyway. Great job!

i like this! being the card dealer isn't something i've seen yet in this jam; nice thinking :) i'll try and come back to this after the jam is over for an update, but for now it's really nice trying to just settle into a rhythm with the dealing (even if i'm not great at it, lol). i also really like the sounds you used. they're very satisfying and make me wanna go shuffle some cards

i did run into a minor glitch when i replayed--not sure if some variables need to be reset or what, but after two deals it ended my game and showed me this screen (after some glitchy, duplicating shuffle sounds too). i'm running on firefox, if that helps!

Thank you for your kind feedback and the detailed Error description, it is very helpful and much appreciated. I will do a bugfixing round before starting with new features, Thanks again.

I honestly know pretty much nothing about poker, so I was a little worried going into it that I wouldnt know whats going on, but this felt like a fun little mini game that I really did enjoy.  Sorry you had to cut things to make the jam deadline, but I know how that feels.  It would be cool to see what else you had planned for this.  Well done!

This is a cool game! I like how you managed to turn poker into a pseudo-rhythm game. It's also fun to be able to see the real game going on in the background. With some more features, this could be an amazing game! Great work.

If you have time, I'd love it if you'd check out my submission!

Developer

Thank you for kind feedback. :) Sure I will checkout your game. ( I just did and got hooked ;-) )

It'd be cool to see some polish like seeing poker chips shift around the table, players busting out, the dealer having to quickly choose who the winner of any given hand is.. Maybe calling security on rowdy players who bust out, before they can disrupt the game.

I could see this being a fun reversal of games like Poker Night at the Inventory, where instead of enjoying the atmosphere and calmly playing Poker, you're the dealer who has to be pinpoint accurate and quick at all times.

Nice effort for a jam, I'm happy you'll be coming back to it to develop it some more.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback and the ideas for other features. The rowdy one fits especially well to the player emotions I have planed. Thanks again. :)

I like the idea of a game where you're the dealer - to double down on the poker theme, I wonder if adding a stage where you have to quickly determine the winning player (after the cards are revealed) might be interesting

Developer

Thank you for playing and your feedback. : ) You are right, the determining of the willer, would have been in the game, but I had to cut it with several other features, just to make the deadline. But after the Jam has ended, I plan to revisit, implement at least the top 3 features, and add abit of "juice".

This was a lot of fun, and I really liked the concept. I think it'd be fun to play it fleshed out as well.

I usually suck at poker but I'm glad now I can make them suck at poker ahahah! Very fun!

I’m not really familiar with poker, but I like the concept. With a more polish it would feel great though, even if you don’t know what you are doing :D would have been nice to see chips for players.

It was fun being able to play the role of the dealer. I also liked the simplicity of the game!
